Kako je za očekivati zbog epidemioloških mjera, a i sve ružnijeg vremena mnogo više vremena provodimo kući, tj. manje se izlažemo suncu, a time i mogućnostima apsorpcije vitamina D. Naviknuti na tu zimsko ljetnu rotacija nismo tome pridavali posebnu pažnju međutim novo istraživanje sugerira da nedostatak vitamina D otežava borbu protiv Covid-19.

U maloj, ali korisnoj novoj studiji, znanstvenici su otkrili kako je preko 80 posto od 200 sudionika s koronavirusom imalo nedostatak vitamina D. Istraživanje, koje je potom objavljeno u 'Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism', sugerira da nedostatak vitamina D ugrožava naš imunološki sustav na način koji posebno otežava borbu protiv bolesti. Istraživanje je također otkrilo da veći postotak muškaraca nego li žena ima taj nedostatak, što se podudara s već poznatim većim utjecajem COVID-19 na muškarce, piše Mic. 

Međutim nalazi studije ne govore samo o tome kako koronavirus utječe na vitamin D u tijelu nego i obrnuto. Ljudi kojima nedostaje vitamina D teže se oporavljaju od virusa ako ga uhvate, a također će vjerojatnije i dobiti Covid-19. Istraživanja su još u preliminarnoj fazi, ali čini se da znače kako koronavirus koči apsorpciju vitamina D.

Iako su znanstvenici proučavali relativno malu skupni od samo 200 pacijenata i druga istraživanja su polučila slične rezultate. Vezu između nedostatka vitamina D i ugrožene imunološke funkcije sugerirali su i drugi znanstvenici među kojima je najvažnija saznanja dobio 2012. Dr. Fauci koji je istražujući potvrdio presudnu ulogu vitamina D i njegovih učinaka na kalcij, zdravlje, rast kostiju i imunološki sustav.

Pomanjkanje vitamina D vrlo je raširena pojava od koje pati i oko trećine stanovništva u različitim dijelovima svijeta. Nevjerojatnih 42% Amerikanaca ima manjak vitamina D, a ta brojka uključuje žene u menopauzi, ne bijele osobe, starije osobe i još neke skupine koji spadaju u najrizičnije i mogu biti izloženi riziku od ozbiljnijih slučajeva COVID-19.

Samo zato što će sunca biti manje dok ulazimo u zimu ne znači da ne možete dobiti više vitamina D. Unos možete povećati na prilično različite načine ovisno o vašem načinu života. Možete nabaviti sunčevu svjetiljku, jesti hranu bogatu vitaminom D - poput žumanjaka, sira, ribe i goveđe jetre ili biste mogli nabaviti dodatke vašoj prehrani. Važno je prije odluke o nabavi suplemenata obratiti se svom liječniku za doziranje, jer previše vitamina D zapravo može poništiti njegove prednosti. Uobičajena preporuka općoj populaciji je od 600 do 800 IU.

Vremena postaju hladnija, a kako je velik broj onih koji nemaju razloga napuštati dom jer rade od kuće, znaju provesti čitav dan bez da ijednom izađu. Treba upamtiti da bez obzira na broj zaraženih šetnja dijelom grada u kojem nema puno ljudi ili još bolje prirodom ne može odmoći, a već i jako mala količina sunca može značajno povećati razinu vitamina D.

Kako je za očekivati zbog epidemioloških mjera, a i sve ružnijeg vremena mnogo više vremena provodimo kući, tj. manje se izlažemo suncu, a time i mogućnostima apsorpcije vitamina D. Naviknuti na tu zimsko ljetnu rotacija nismo tome pridavali posebnu pažnju međutim novo istraživanje sugerira da nedostatak vitamina D otežava borbu protiv Covid-19.

U maloj, ali korisnoj novoj studiji, znanstvenici su otkrili kako je preko 80 posto od 200 sudionika s koronavirusom imalo nedostatak vitamina D. Istraživanje, koje je potom objavljeno u 'Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism', sugerira da nedostatak vitamina D ugrožava naš imunološki sustav na način koji posebno otežava borbu protiv bolesti. Istraživanje je također otkrilo da veći postotak muškaraca nego li žena ima taj nedostatak, što se podudara s već poznatim većim utjecajem COVID-19 na muškarce, piše Mic. 

Međutim nalazi studije ne govore samo o tome kako koronavirus utječe na vitamin D u tijelu nego i obrnuto. Ljudi kojima nedostaje vitamina D teže se oporavljaju od virusa ako ga uhvate, a također će vjerojatnije i dobiti Covid-19. Istraživanja su još u preliminarnoj fazi, ali čini se da znače kako koronavirus koči apsorpciju vitamina D.

Iako su znanstvenici proučavali relativno malu skupni od samo 200 pacijenata i druga istraživanja su polučila slične rezultate. Vezu između nedostatka vitamina D i ugrožene imunološke funkcije sugerirali su i drugi znanstvenici među kojima je najvažnija saznanja dobio 2012. Dr. Fauci koji je istražujući potvrdio presudnu ulogu vitamina D i njegovih učinaka na kalcij, zdravlje, rast kostiju i imunološki sustav.

Pomanjkanje vitamina D vrlo je raširena pojava od koje pati i oko trećine stanovništva u različitim dijelovima svijeta. Nevjerojatnih 42% Amerikanaca ima manjak vitamina D, a ta brojka uključuje žene u menopauzi, ne bijele osobe, starije osobe i još neke skupine koji spadaju u najrizičnije i mogu biti izloženi riziku od ozbiljnijih slučajeva COVID-19.

Samo zato što će sunca biti manje dok ulazimo u zimu ne znači da ne možete dobiti više vitamina D. Unos možete povećati na prilično različite načine ovisno o vašem načinu života. Možete nabaviti sunčevu svjetiljku, jesti hranu bogatu vitaminom D - poput žumanjaka, sira, ribe i goveđe jetre ili biste mogli nabaviti dodatke vašoj prehrani. Važno je prije odluke o nabavi suplemenata obratiti se svom liječniku za doziranje, jer previše vitamina D zapravo može poništiti njegove prednosti. Uobičajena preporuka općoj populaciji je od 600 do 800 IU.

Vremena postaju hladnija, a kako je velik broj onih koji nemaju razloga napuštati dom jer rade od kuće, znaju provesti čitav dan bez da ijednom izađu. Treba upamtiti da bez obzira na broj zaraženih šetnja dijelom grada u kojem nema puno ljudi ili još bolje prirodom ne može odmoći, a već i jako mala količina sunca može značajno povećati razinu vitamina D.

Kako je za očekivati zbog epidemioloških mjera, a i sve ružnijeg vremena mnogo više vremena provodimo kući, tj. manje se izlažemo suncu, a time i mogućnostima apsorpcije vitamina D. Naviknuti na tu zimsko ljetnu rotacija nismo tome pridavali posebnu pažnju međutim novo istraživanje sugerira da nedostatak vitamina D otežava borbu protiv Covid-19.

U maloj, ali korisnoj novoj studiji, znanstvenici su otkrili kako je preko 80 posto od 200 sudionika s koronavirusom imalo nedostatak vitamina D. Istraživanje, koje je potom objavljeno u 'Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism', sugerira da nedostatak vitamina D ugrožava naš imunološki sustav na način koji posebno otežava borbu protiv bolesti. Istraživanje je također otkrilo da veći postotak muškaraca nego li žena ima taj nedo...
