U jesenskom šarenilu koje vlada na tržnicama, ako ste sreće, naić ćete i na nekog prodavača koji je uz povrće iz svog vrta ili grožđe iz vinograda, onako sa strane na banak rasprostro i - oskoruše. Plodove žućkasto - crvene boje koji su zapravo ukusniji i bolji kad odleže, poružne i dobiju tamniju boju.
Plod je kiselkastog okusa, no nakon što odstoji u papirnatom "škartocu" ili kutiji, postane mekan i sladak, a unutrašnjost mu krije pet tamnosmeđih sjemenki.

Ova nekad raširena voćka u dalmatinskom zaleđu i na otocima, koja na stablu raste u grozdovima, danas je slabo poznata, a nije ni jeftina – za nju će vam na tržnici tražiti barem 30 kuna za kilo, ako je tek ubrana, a za osušenu i dvostruko više.
Sadnice joj se mogu nabaviti putem interneta u hrvatskim rasadnicima u Donjem Miholjcu ili Lučkom, na primjer, a koštaju od 45 do 100 kuna. Spominju se i uvozne, talijanske, no u dalmatinskoj tradiciji je presađivanje iz – prirode.

Staništa oskoruše su šume i šikare pa se, s obzirom da joj plodovi padaju neubrani, često u podnožju viših i starijih stabala mogu lako naći ona mlada. U zimskim mjesecima, kad nema listove, pažljivo joj se iščupa korijenje i presadi u svom masliniku ili voćnjaku jer – odbija mušice. Dvostruka korist! No, malo je spora, rađa tek nakon desetak godina.
Jako je dobra za zdravlje, jača imunitet plodovi oskoruše pomažu kod želučanih problema, kod proljeva i dizenterije. Sorbus domestica, kako se službeno zove, puna je tanina, plodovi su joj bogati vitaminima, a posebice vitaminom A i C i mineralima.
Oskoruša se može konzumirati kao svježe voće, sušena, prerađena u marmeladu ili liker. Ali ne preporuča se da je se puno pije jer to može izazvati probleme sa probavom, opstipaciju.
SUŠENA OSKORUŠA
Koristi se za čaj ili kompot. Suši se na suncu, nanizana na koncu, ali je puno jednostvanije u dehidratoru. Tako osušena može trajati do dvije godine. U čajevima i kompotima može se miješati i sa drugim sastojcima.
MARMELADA OD OSKORUŠA
Zreli plodovi se operu i skuhaju u vrlo malo vode. Kad se smekšaju, odmah se pasiraju, da se odvoji kožica i sjemenke. Na kilogram protisnutog voća dodaje se 15 – 25 dkg šećera, ali i manje ako niste ljubitelj šećera.
U tom slučaju dodajte minimalno koliko je tek potrebno za prirodni konzervans marmelade. Nastavite još kuhati, kao i drugi pekmez. Ako se kuha potpuno bez šećera, neka bude "tvrđa".
LIKER OD OSKORUŠE
Na litru dobre ali ne prejake loze stavi se petnaestak oskoruša i stručak kadulje. Dodaje se dvije-tri žlice šećera i ostavi da odleži minimalno 40 dana.

Rakija od oskoruše i različiti oblici plodova oskoruše
U jesenskom šarenilu koje vlada na tržnicama, ako ste sreće, naić ćete i na nekog prodavača koji je uz povrće iz svog vrta ili grožđe iz vinograda, onako sa strane na banak rasprostro i - oskoruše. Plodove žućkasto - crvene boje koji su zapravo ukusniji i bolji kad odleže, poružne i dobiju tamniju boju.
Plod je kiselkastog okusa, no nakon što odstoji u papirnatom "škartocu" ili kutiji, postane mekan i sladak, a unutrašnjost mu krije pet tamnosmeđih sjemenki.

Ova nekad raširena voćka u dalmatinskom zaleđu i na otocima, koja na stablu raste u grozdovima, danas je slabo poznata, a nije ni jeftina – za nju će vam na tržnici tražiti barem 30 kuna za kilo, ako je tek ubrana, a za osušenu i dvostruko više.
Sadnice joj se mogu nabaviti putem interneta u hrvatskim rasadnicima u Donjem Miholjcu ili Lučkom, na primjer, a koštaju od 45 do 100 kuna. Spominju se i uvozne, talijanske, no u dalmatinskoj tradiciji je presađivanje iz – prirode.

Staništa oskoruše su šume i šikare pa se, s obzirom da joj plodovi padaju neubrani, često u podnožju viših i starijih stabala mogu lako naći ona mlada. U zimskim mjesecima, kad nema listove, pažljivo joj se iščupa korijenje i presadi u svom masliniku ili voćnjaku jer – odbija mušice. Dvostruka korist! No, malo je spora, rađa tek nakon desetak godina.
Jako je dobra za zdravlje, jača imunitet plodovi oskoruše pomažu kod želučanih problema, kod proljeva i dizenterije. Sorbus domestica, kako se službeno zove, puna je tanina, plodovi su joj bogati vitaminima, a posebice vitaminom A i C i mineralima.
Oskoruša se može konzumirati kao svježe voće, sušena, prerađena u marmeladu ili liker. Ali ne preporuča se da je se puno pije jer to može izazvati probleme sa probavom, opstipaciju.
SUŠENA OSKORUŠA
Koristi se za čaj ili kompot. Suši se na suncu, nanizana na koncu, ali je puno jednostvanije u dehidratoru. Tako osušena može trajati do dvije godine. U čajevima i kompotima može se miješati i sa drugim sastojcima.
MARMELADA OD OSKORUŠA
Zreli plodovi se operu i skuhaju u vrlo malo vode. Kad se smekšaju, odmah se pasiraju, da se odvoji kožica i sjemenke. Na kilogram protisnutog voća dodaje se 15 – 25 dkg šećera, ali i manje ako niste ljubitelj šećera.
U tom slučaju dodajte minimalno koliko je tek potrebno za prirodni konzervans marmelade. Nastavite još kuhati, kao i drugi pekmez. Ako se kuha potpuno bez šećera, neka bude "tvrđa".
LIKER OD OSKORUŠE
Na litru dobre ali ne prejake loze stavi se petnaestak oskoruša i stručak kadulje. Dodaje se dvije-tri žlice šećera i ostavi da odleži minimalno 40 dana.
