Kosovski filmovi i filmaši(ce) posljednjih godina bilježe sve veću prisutnost na međunarodnoj festivalskoj pozornici, a upravo je 2021. ova kinematografija doživjela vrhunac. Na Sundance festivalu je nagrađena "Košnica" redateljice Blerte Basholli, a u Rotterdamu "Tražeći Veneru" Norike Sefe.

Dok "Hive" još čekamo u Hrvatskoj nakon regionalne premijere na Sarajevo Film Festivalu, "Looking For Venera" ili, izvorno, "Në kërkim të Venerës" ovih dana je dostupan barem za "online" gledanje, ako već ne u kinu. Zasluga je to Split Film Festivala, koji u pravilu gotovo svake godine "ubode" nešto izvanserijsko i "egzotično" (u zadnje vrijeme "Divljaka", "Atlantis"...).

Ove godine tom opisu odgovara "Tražeći Veneru", kosovski film snimljen u koprodukciji s Makedonijom. Teško da ćete naći bolji film u programu 26. STFF-a od dugometražnog prvijenca redateljice koja je diplomirala na čuvenoj praškoj akademiji FAMU.

Posebno priznanje žirija u glavnoj konkurenciji Rotterdamskog festivala nije slučajno. Ovo je izvanredan film redateljice za koju bi se tek trebalo istinski čuti u svijetu, a već je s prvijencem počela graditi inozemne mostove, surađujući s venezuelanskim direktorom fotografije u usponu Luisom Armandom Arteagom (paragvajske "Nasljednice" ili "Las Herederas").

Režija i fotografija osvježavaju još jednu priču o odrastanju, koja je mogla biti tipična ili prosječna da nije kreativnih vizualnih/kamernih rješenja, kao i autentičnih glumaca, počevši od odlične debitantice Kosovare Krasniqi u krasnoj i nijansiranoj ulozi titularne protagonistice.

Krasniqi je ostvarila dojmljiv debi kao Venera, bivajući takoreći u svakom kadru filma, poput Adele Exarchopoulos u "Adelinom životu" ili Jennifer Lawrence u "Zimskoj kosti". Mlada glumica je s minimalno dijaloga dočarala unutrašnji svijet lika, ona je prirodna i s njom se lako poistovjetiti tinejdžeri(ca)ma s druge strane ekrana, najviše na ovim prostorima, gdje još uvijek čvrsto vlada patrijarhat.

Venerinu ocu Luanu (Basri Lushtaku) najvažnije je da ljudi ne pričaju okolo o njegovoj kćeri i da ona slučajno ne osramoti obiteljsko ime jer "ponos je glavna stvar". "Looking For Venera" je regionalno prepoznatljiv film i Sefa unutar prvih pet minuta kao da parafrazira legendarnu scenu ćirenja iz "Ko to tamo peva", samo na ozbiljan način, bez duhovite upadice, kad glavni ženski lik promatra kako je jedan mladić u planinskoj šumi "navalio" na njezinu prijateljicu Dorinu (Rozafa Çelaj).

No, može biti prepoznatljiv i u drugim dijelovima svijeta svakoj tinejdžerici koja je "kemijala" odlazak na prvi koncert s potencijalnim momkom, kao što "kemija" Venera, ali i zbog univerzalnosti teme.

Sefa se, dakle, dotiče odrastanja u začaranom krugu patrijarhata i pokušaja razbijanja tog kruga, osnaženja utjelovljena u tihoj i povučenoj, no prkosnoj Veneri koja prolazi trnovit put od djevojke do mlade žene nakon što se počne sve više družiti s Dorinom i otkrivati izlaske i momke ("Jesi li se ikad zabavila? Stvarno zabavila?").

Pritom se ne čini da je Sefa radila film s nekakvom "kalkulacijom", već se osjeća da je htjela ispričati ovu i ovakvu priču, identificirajući se s Venerom i njezinom željom za bijegom, kao netko koga je, moguće, također kočila konzervativna okolina zabačene kosovske provincije čija tradicija guši slobodu i blokira put prema liberalnom Zapadu, nečem većem i drukčijem.

Redateljica i snimatelj zato redovito snimaju mještane ili druge likove kako tijelima "blokiraju" Veneru u kadru, stajući ispred nje ili se nadvijajući nad njom. Često se događa da gužva vlada u mizansceni, primjerice kod Venere doma, gdje živi s ocem, majkom, bakom i dvoje male djece. Osjećaj zarobljenosti i klaustrofobije je na taj način uspješno dočaran dok likovi ne daju Veneri da udahne zraka, čak je i "guraju" u dugi plan ili izvan dosega statično pozicionirane kamere.

Izvan kadra ili na njegovu samom rubu odvija se dobar dio scena, s likovima koje ne vidimo u cijelosti, uključujući i Veneru, nego ih nekad samo čujemo, recimo Dorinine uzdahe sladostrasti. Rijetko viđen postupak je funkcionalan i dvostruko simboličan. Lica ili tijela likova izlaze iz kadra, a kamera stoji gdje jest. Kamera se ne pomiče da uhvati Veneru, kamoli da ide za njom, već čeka da se vrati u scenu, potiho se nadajući da to neće napraviti, koliko god da je želi pronaći i opet vidjeti.

Pet godina života za prvijenac

Prilikom primanja nagrade, redateljica je otkrila da joj je rad na filmu uzeo pet godina života, ali je sretna zbog iskustva i priznanja na festivalu kakav je Rotterdam.

Kosovski filmovi i filmaši(ce) posljednjih godina bilježe sve veću prisutnost na međunarodnoj festivalskoj pozornici, a upravo je 2021. ova kinematografija doživjela vrhunac. Na Sundance festivalu je nagrađena "Košnica" redateljice Blerte Basholli, a u Rotterdamu "Tražeći Veneru" Norike Sefe.

Dok "Hive" još čekamo u Hrvatskoj nakon regionalne premijere na Sarajevo Film Festivalu, "Looking For Venera" ili, izvorno, "Në kërkim të Venerës" ovih dana je dostupan barem za "online" gledanje, ako već ne u kinu. Zasluga je to Split Film Festivala, koji u pravilu gotovo svake godine "ubode" nešto izvanserijsko i "egzotično" (u zadnje vrijeme "Divljaka", "Atlantis"...).

Ove godine tom opisu odgovara "Tražeći Veneru", kosovski film snimljen u koprodukciji s Makedonijom. Teško da ćete naći bolji film u programu 26. STFF-a od dugometražnog prvijenca redateljice koja je diplomirala na čuvenoj praškoj akademiji FAMU.

Posebno priznanje žirija u glavnoj konkurenciji Rotterdamskog festivala nije slučajno. Ovo je izvanredan film redateljice za koju bi se tek trebalo istinski čuti u svijetu, a već je s prvijencem počela graditi inozemne mostove, surađujući s venezuelanskim direktorom fotografije u usponu Luisom Armandom Arteagom (paragvajske "Nasljednice" ili "Las Herederas").

Režija i fotografija osvježavaju još jednu priču o odrastanju, koja je mogla biti tipična ili prosječna da nije kreativnih vizualnih/kamernih rješenja, kao i autentičnih glumaca, počevši od odlične debitantice Kosovare Krasniqi u krasnoj i nijansiranoj ulozi titularne protagonistice.

Krasniqi je ostvarila dojmljiv debi kao Venera, bivajući takoreći u svakom kadru filma, poput Adele Exarchopoulos u "Adelinom životu" ili Jennifer Lawrence u "Zimskoj kosti". Mlada glumica je s minimalno dijaloga dočarala unutrašnji svijet lika, ona je prirodna i s njom se lako poistovjetiti tinejdžeri(ca)ma s druge strane ekrana, najviše na ovim prostorima, gdje još uvijek čvrsto vlada patrijarhat.

Venerinu ocu Luanu (Basri Lushtaku) najvažnije je da ljudi ne pričaju okolo o njegovoj kćeri i da ona slučajno ne osramoti obiteljsko ime jer "ponos je glavna stvar". "Looking For Venera" je regionalno prepoznatljiv film i Sefa unutar prvih pet minuta kao da parafrazira legendarnu scenu ćirenja iz "Ko to tamo peva", samo na ozbiljan način, bez duhovite upadice, kad glavni ženski lik promatra kako je jedan mladić u planinskoj šumi "navalio" na njezinu prijateljicu Dorinu (Rozafa Çelaj).

No, može biti prepoznatljiv i u drugim dijelovima svijeta svakoj tinejdžerici koja je "kemijala" odlazak na prvi koncert s potencijalnim momkom, kao što "kemija" Venera, ali i zbog univerzalnosti teme.

Sefa se, dakle, dotiče odrastanja u začaranom krugu patrijarhata i pokušaja razbijanja tog kruga, osnaženja utjelovljena u tihoj i povučenoj, no prkosnoj Veneri koja prolazi trnovit put od djevojke do mlade žene nakon što se počne sve više družiti s Dorinom i otkrivati izlaske i momke ("Jesi li se ikad zabavila? Stvarno zabavila?").

Pritom se ne čini da je Sefa radila film s nekakvom "kalkulacijom", već se osjeća da je htjela ispričati ovu i ovakvu priču, identificirajući se s Venerom i njezinom željom za bijegom, kao netko koga je, moguće, također kočila konzervativna okolina zabačene kosovske provincije čija tradicija guši slobodu i blokira put prema liberalnom Zapadu, nečem većem i drukčijem.

Redateljica i snimatelj zato redovito snimaju mještane ili druge likove kako tijelima "blokiraju" Veneru u kadru, stajući ispred nje ili se nadvijajući nad njom. Često se događa da gužva vlada u mizansceni, primjerice kod Venere doma, gdje živi s ocem, majkom, bakom i dvoje male djece. Osjećaj zarobljenosti i klaustrofobije je na taj način uspješno dočaran dok likovi ne daju Veneri da udahne zraka, čak je i "guraju" u dugi plan ili izvan dosega statično pozicionirane kamere.

Izvan kadra ili na njegovu samom rubu odvija se dobar dio scena, s likovima koje ne vidimo u cijelosti, uključujući i Veneru, nego ih nekad samo čujemo, recimo Dorinine uzdahe sladostrasti. Rijetko viđen postupak je funkcionalan i dvostruko simboličan. Lica ili tijela likova izlaze iz kadra, a kamera stoji gdje jest. Kamera se ne pomiče da uhvati Veneru, kamoli da ide za njom, već čeka da se vrati u scenu, potiho se nadajući da to neće napraviti, koliko god da je želi pronaći i opet vidjeti.

Pet godina života za prvijenac

Prilikom primanja nagrade, redateljica je otkrila da joj je rad na filmu uzeo pet godina života, ali je sretna zbog iskustva i priznanja na festivalu kakav je Rotterdam.
