Ruski Predsjednik Vladimir Putin u četvrtak je naredio ruskoj vojsci da odustane od planova za napad na čeličanu Azovstal u ukrajinskome lučkom gradu Mariupolju i rekao da umjesto toga želi da čeličana bude hermetički blokirana – javlja Hina.

Putin je to zapovjedio svojem ministru obrane Sergeju Šojguu, koji je prije toga Putinu rekao da je više od 2000 ukrajinskih boraca još uvijek skriveno u golemoj tvornici, koja ima mrežu podzemnih tunela.

"Smatram da je predloženi napad na industrijsku zonu nepotreban", rekao je Putin Šojguu na videokonferenciji u Kremlju. "Naređujem vam da ga otkažete".

Prema ukrajinskim medijima, u podzemnim tunelima skrivaju se i brojni civili.

Štiti svoje vojnike

Putin je rekao da je njegova odluka da ne napada tvornicu Azovstal motivirana željom da zaštiti živote ruskih vojnika.

"Nije potrebno penjati se u ove katakombe i puzati pod zemlju kroz te industrijske objekte", rekao je. "Blokirajte to industrijsko područje tako da muha ne može proći", rekao je.

Putin je također pozvao preostale ukrajinske borce u Azovstalu koji se još nisu predali, rekavši da će se Rusija prema njima odnositi s poštovanjem i da će pružiti medicinsku pomoć ozlijeđenima.

General Sir Richard Barrons, bivši šef Zapovjedništva združenih snaga Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva na ovu vijest kaže za BBC da ta bitka više nije "stvarno relevantna" za to tko kontrolira lučki grad i ceste koje prolaze kroz njega, a koje već sad povezuju Rusiju s Krimom.

Današnje vijesti iz Kremlja trebale bi pokazati da je uoči ruskog pravoslavnog Uskrsa postignut "neki uspjeh", kaže Barrons. "A to omogućuje vojsci da ne troši više resursa na bitku za čeličanu koja je vojno irelevantna i da se okrene onome što je sada stvarno važno – bici za Donbas."

Odnos snaga 'izbalansiran'

Upitan tko trenutačno ima prednost u ratu, kaže da je odnos snaga "doista vrlo fino izbalansiran". Kaže da će se fokus sada prebaciti na Donbas,  posebice sjeveroistok regije, gdje će Rusija pokušati opkoliti ukrajinsku vojsku i stati iza njihovih položaja. Ako Rusi to uspiju, bit će to značajan uspjeh za Moskvu, smatra on. Ali, ako ih Ukrajinci uspiju zadržati, to bi moglo rezultirati "vrlo teškim zastojem".

Zauzimanje lučkog grada Mariupolja dugo se smatralo ključnim korakom u ruskoj invaziji na Ukrajinu – stvaranje kopnenog mosta između istočne regije Donbasa i anektiranog Krima. No, tjedni odlučnog otpora doveli su do frustracije kod Putina i njegovih generala, a stalno granatiranje nanijelo je neizmjernu patnju građanima grada, uz njegovo gotovo potpuno uništenje.

Sada se čini da je Rusija odlučila kako ne mora dovršiti to tegobno osvajanje i da će umjesto toga pokušati izgladnjeti posljednje ukrajinske branitelje. Hoće li to dovesti do njihove postupne predaje ili će im dati priliku da se izvuku iz kompleksa bit će važno, ne samo vojno već i za ukrajinski moral.

Potpredsjednik ukrajinske vlade pozvao na otvaranje hitnog humanitarnog koridora za evakuaciju civila zarobljenih u Mariupolju. Sličan jučerašnji zahtjev za odvođenje 6000 ljudi na sigurno rezultirao je time da su samo četiri autobusa napustila grad.

I blokada crpi resurse

Ruski predsjednik nestrpljiv je da nastavi ofenzivu na Donbas, a bitka za Mariupolj iscrpila mu je vitalne resurse i prikovala ruske trupe koje bi se mogle upregnuti u postizanje širih ciljeva. Odvojenu od središta Mariupolja rijekom Kalmius, golemu čeličanu trebalo bi biti relativno lako izolirati, ali ako Putin želi biti siguran da "ni jedna muha ne može proći", kako je rekao, morat će ostaviti značajne snage na tom mjestu.

S obzirom da je ukrajinski predsjednik Zelenski najavio prekid mirovnih pregovora ako posljednji branitelji grada budu ubijeni, također je moguće da Putin želi održati diplomatski proces – ili barem privid procesa – na životu. Možda čak postoji i ekonomski element u tome. Azovstal je jedna od najvećih čeličana u Europi. Čak i nakon tjedana užasnog razaranja, Moskva se možda nada da u njoj postoji nešto vrijedno spašavanja.

Ruski Predsjednik Vladimir Putin u četvrtak je naredio ruskoj vojsci da odustane od planova za napad na čeličanu Azovstal u ukrajinskome lučkom gradu Mariupolju i rekao da umjesto toga želi da čeličana bude hermetički blokirana – javlja Hina.

Putin je to zapovjedio svojem ministru obrane Sergeju Šojguu, koji je prije toga Putinu rekao da je više od 2000 ukrajinskih boraca još uvijek skriveno u golemoj tvornici, koja ima mrežu podzemnih tunela.

"Smatram da je predloženi napad na industrijsku zonu nepotreban", rekao je Putin Šojguu na videokonferenciji u Kremlju. "Naređujem vam da ga otkažete".

Prema ukrajinskim medijima, u podzemnim tunelima skrivaju se i brojni civili.

Štiti svoje vojnike

Putin je rekao da je njegova odluka da ne napada tvornicu Azovstal motivirana željom da zaštiti živote ruskih vojnika.

"Nije potrebno penjati se u ove katakombe i puzati pod zemlju kroz te industrijske objekte", rekao je. "Blokirajte to industrijsko područje tako da muha ne može proći", rekao je.

Putin je također pozvao preostale ukrajinske borce u Azovstalu koji se još nisu predali, rekavši da će se Rusija prema njima odnositi s poštovanjem i da će pružiti medicinsku pomoć ozlijeđenima.

General Sir Richard Barrons, bivši šef Zapovjedništva združenih snaga Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva na ovu vijest kaže za BBC da ta bitka više nije "stvarno relevantna" za to tko kontrolira lučki grad i ceste koje prolaze kroz njega, a koje već sad povezuju Rusiju s Krimom.

Današnje vijesti iz Kremlja trebale bi pokazati da je uoči ruskog pravoslavnog Uskrsa postignut "neki uspjeh", kaže Barrons. "A to omogućuje vojsci da ne troši više resursa na bitku za čeličanu koja je vojno irelevantna i da se okrene onome što je sada stvarno važno – bici za Donbas."

Odnos snaga 'izbalansiran'

Upitan tko trenutačno ima prednost u ratu, kaže da je odnos snaga "doista vrlo fino izbalansiran". Kaže da će se fokus sada prebaciti na Donbas,  posebice sjeveroistok regije, gdje će Rusija pokušati opkoliti ukrajinsku vojsku i stati iza njihovih položaja. Ako Rusi to uspiju, bit će to značajan uspjeh za Moskvu, smatra on. Ali, ako ih Ukrajinci uspiju zadržati, to bi moglo rezultirati "vrlo teškim zastojem".

Zauzimanje lučkog grada Mariupolja dugo se smatralo ključnim korakom u ruskoj invaziji na Ukrajinu – stvaranje kopnenog mosta između istočne regije Donbasa i anektiranog Krima. No, tjedni odlučnog otpora doveli su do frustracije kod Putina i njegovih generala, a stalno granatiranje nanijelo je neizmjernu patnju građanima grada, uz njegovo gotovo potpuno uništenje.

Sada se čini da je Rusija odlučila kako ne mora dovršiti to tegobno osvajanje i da će umjesto toga pokušati izgladnjeti posljednje ukrajinske branitelje. Hoće li to dovesti do njihove postupne predaje ili će im dati priliku da se izvuku iz kompleksa bit će važno, ne samo vojno već i za ukrajinski moral.

Potpredsjednik ukrajinske vlade pozvao na otvaranje hitnog humanitarnog koridora za evakuaciju civila zarobljenih u Mariupolju. Sličan jučerašnji zahtjev za odvođenje 6000 ljudi na sigurno rezultirao je time da su samo četiri autobusa napustila grad.

I blokada crpi resurse

Ruski predsjednik nestrpljiv je da nastavi ofenzivu na Donbas, a bitka za Mariupolj iscrpila mu je vitalne resurse i prikovala ruske trupe koje bi se mogle upregnuti u postizanje širih ciljeva. Odvojenu od središta Mariupolja rijekom Kalmius, golemu čeličanu trebalo bi biti relativno lako izolirati, ali ako Putin želi biti siguran da "ni jedna muha ne može proći", kako je rekao, morat će ostaviti značajne snage na tom mjestu.

S obzirom da je ukrajinski predsjednik Zelenski najavio prekid mirovnih pregovora ako posljednji branitelji grada budu ubijeni, također je moguće da Putin želi održati diplomatski proces – ili barem privid procesa – na životu. Možda čak postoji i ekonomski element u tome. Azovstal je jedna od najvećih čeličana u Europi. Čak i nakon tjedana užasnog razaranja, Moskva se možda nada da u njoj postoji nešto vrijedno spašavanja.

Ruski Predsjednik Vladimir Putin u četvrtak je naredio ruskoj vojsci da odustane od planova za napad na čeličanu Azovstal u ukrajinskome lučkom gradu Mariupolju i rekao da umjesto toga želi da čeličana bude hermetički blokirana – javlja Hina.

Putin je to zapovjedio svojem ministru obrane Sergeju Šojguu, koji je prije toga Putinu rekao da je više od 2000 ukrajinskih boraca još uvijek skriveno u golemoj tvornici, koja ima mrežu podzemnih tunela.

"Smatram da je predloženi napad na industrijsku zonu nepotreban", rekao je Putin Šojguu na videokonferenciji u Kremlju. "Naređujem vam da ga otkažete".

Prema ukrajinskim medijima, u podzemnim tunelima skrivaju se i brojni civili.
