Danska i Sjedinjene Države su među šest zemalja koje su prijavile pojavu novih slučajeva koronavirusa povezanih s farmama kanadske kune, priopćila je Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija.
Italija, Nizozemska, Španjolska i Švedska su preostale države koje su otkrile SARS-CoV-2 među kanadskim kunama, navodi WHO u priopćenju.
Danska je na sjeveru zemlje uvela stroge mjere nakon upozorenja da je koronavirus mutirao i prešao s kuna na ljude, pri čemu ih se zarazilo 12.
Službeni Kopenhagen je upozorio da bi mutacija mogla ugroziti učinkovitost bilo kojeg budućeg cjepiva, naloživši klanje svih 15-17 milijuna kanadskih kuna, koje se uzgajaju radi krzna, u zemlji.
Britanija je u subotu zabranila ulazak u zemlju svim strancima koji u njoj nemaju prebivalište a stižu iz Danske, pošto je kod ljudi otkrivena mutacija povezana s farmama za uzgoj kuna.
Znanstvenici kažu da su mutacije virusa uobičajene i često bezopasne, a ova ne uzrokuje razvoj teže bolesti kod ljudi.
No danske zdravstvene vlasti su zabrinute jer bi ovaj mutirani soj virusa, "Cluster 5" mogao ugroziti učinkovitost cjepiva za covid-19, koja se ubrzano razvijaju u cijelom svijetu.
"Prva opažanja upućuju na to da su klinička slika bolesti, njezina težina i prijenos među zaraženima slični kao i kod ostalih cirkulirajućih virusa SARS-CoVa-2", objavio je u petak WHO.
"No ova varijanta "Cluster 5" sadrži kombinaciju mutacija, odnosno promjena koje prethodno nisu uočene. Implikacije uočenih promjena u ovoj varijanti još nam nisu u potpunosti jasne", upozorava WHO.
Agencija UN-a je objavila da preliminarni rezultati ukazuju na to da ova varijanta, koja je povezana s kanadskom kunom ima "umjereno smanjenu osjetljivost na neutralizirajuća antitijela".
WHO je pozvao na daljnja ispitivanja kako bi se provjerila preliminarna otkrića te da bi se "razumjele sve moguće implikacije ovih nalaza kada su posrijedi dijagnostika, terapija i cjepiva u razvoju".
"Premda se ovaj koronavirus povezuje sa šišmišima, njegovo porijeklo i posredni domaćin(i) SARS-CoVa-2 još nisu identificirani", stoji u priopćenju WHO-a.
Od lipnja 2020. godine u Danskoj je među ljudima uočeno 214 slučajeva covida-19 sa SARS-CoV-2 inačicama povezanim s kunama iz uzgajališta, među kojima i 12 slučajeva s jedinstvenom varijantom, o čemu su vlasti izvijestile 5. studenoga.

Danska i Sjedinjene Države su među šest zemalja koje su prijavile pojavu novih slučajeva koronavirusa povezanih s farmama kanadske kune, priopćila je Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija.
Italija, Nizozemska, Španjolska i Švedska su preostale države koje su otkrile SARS-CoV-2 među kanadskim kunama, navodi WHO u priopćenju.
Danska je na sjeveru zemlje uvela stroge mjere nakon upozorenja da je koronavirus mutirao i prešao s kuna na ljude, pri čemu ih se zarazilo 12.
Službeni Kopenhagen je upozorio da bi mutacija mogla ugroziti učinkovitost bilo kojeg budućeg cjepiva, naloživši klanje svih 15-17 milijuna kanadskih kuna, koje se uzgajaju radi krzna, u zemlji.
Britanija je u subotu zabranila ulazak u zemlju svim strancima koji u njoj nemaju prebivalište a stižu iz Danske, pošto je kod ljudi otkrivena mutacija povezana s farmama za uzgoj kuna.
Znanstvenici kažu da su mutacije virusa uobičajene i često bezopasne, a ova ne uzrokuje razvoj teže bolesti kod ljudi.
No danske zdravstvene vlasti su zabrinute jer bi ovaj mutirani soj virusa, "Cluster 5" mogao ugroziti učinkovitost cjepiva za covid-19, koja se ubrzano razvijaju u cijelom svijetu.
"Prva opažanja upućuju na to da su klinička slika bolesti, njezina težina i prijenos među zaraženima slični kao i kod ostalih cirkulirajućih virusa SARS-CoVa-2", objavio je u petak WHO.
"No ova varijanta "Cluster 5" sadrži kombinaciju mutacija, odnosno promjena koje prethodno nisu uočene. Implikacije uočenih promjena u ovoj varijanti još nam nisu u potpunosti jasne", upozorava WHO.
Agencija UN-a je objavila da preliminarni rezultati ukazuju na to da ova varijanta, koja je povezana s kanadskom kunom ima "umjereno smanjenu osjetljivost na neutralizirajuća antitijela".
WHO je pozvao na daljnja ispitivanja kako bi se provjerila preliminarna otkrića te da bi se "razumjele sve moguće implikacije ovih nalaza kada su posrijedi dijagnostika, terapija i cjepiva u razvoju".
"Premda se ovaj koronavirus povezuje sa šišmišima, njegovo porijeklo i posredni domaćin(i) SARS-CoVa-2 još nisu identificirani", stoji u priopćenju WHO-a.
Od lipnja 2020. godine u Danskoj je među ljudima uočeno 214 slučajeva covida-19 sa SARS-CoV-2 inačicama povezanim s kunama iz uzgajališta, među kojima i 12 slučajeva s jedinstvenom varijantom, o čemu su vlasti izvijestile 5. studenoga.
