Farmaceutska tvrtka Pfizer objavila je danas da je njihovo cjepivo protiv covida-19 sigurno i pruža snažnu zaštitu djeci starijoj od 12 godina, prenosi Jutarnji list otkriće Washington Posta.

Većina cjepiva protiv covida se preporučuje odraslim osobama, koja spadaju u visokorizičnu skupinu vezano za koronavirus. Konkretno, Pfizerovo cjepivo je dobilo odobrenje za cijepljenje osoba starijih od 16 godina. Međutim, smatra se da će cijepljenje djece svih dobnih skupina biti ključno u zaustavljanju pandemije te bi trebalo omogućiti učenicima, poglavito onima u višim razredima, da se nakon mjeseci online nastave vrate u školske klupe.

U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 2.260 djece u dobi između 12 i 15 godina, a provedeno je u Sjedinjenim Državama. Neslužbeni rezultati istraživanja ukazuju da među adolescentima koji su primili obje doze nije bilo zaraženih za razliku od 18 tinejdžera koji su primili placebo, izvijestio je Pfizer.

Riječ je o studiji manjeg opsega koja još nije službeno objavljena, ali riječ je o još jednom snažnom dokazu kako cjepivo osnažuje dječji imuni sustav. Znanstvenici tvrde da je kod djece te dobi utvrđena visoka razina antitijela koja se bore protiv virusa, nešto veća nego što je zabilježena pri istraživanju mlađih odraslih osoba.

Djeca su imala slične nuspojave kao i mlađe odrasle osobe, poput, bolova, temperature, hladnoće i umora, osobito nakon druge doze. Istraživanje će nastaviti pratiti sudionike iduće dvije godine kako bi se više doznali o dugoročnoj zaštiti protiv covida.

Pfizer i njegov njemački partner BioNTech će u idućim tjednima od američke Agencije za hranu i lijekove te od europskih regulatora tražiti da se po hitnom postupku odobri njihovo cjepivo protiv covida za djecu stariju od 12 godina.

- Nadamo se da ćemo prije početka sljedeće školske godine cijepiti tu dobnu skupinu u Sjedinjenim Državama, rekao je Albert Bourla, šef Upravnog odbora Pfizera.

Pfizer nije jedina tvrtka koja želi spustiti dobnu granicu za svoje cjepivo. Uskoro se očekuju rezultati američke studije o Moderninu cjepivu za dobnu skupinu između 12 i 17 godina.

Farmaceutska tvrtka Pfizer objavila je danas da je njihovo cjepivo protiv covida-19 sigurno i pruža snažnu zaštitu djeci starijoj od 12 godina, prenosi Jutarnji list otkriće Washington Posta.

Većina cjepiva protiv covida se preporučuje odraslim osobama, koja spadaju u visokorizičnu skupinu vezano za koronavirus. Konkretno, Pfizerovo cjepivo je dobilo odobrenje za cijepljenje osoba starijih od 16 godina. Međutim, smatra se da će cijepljenje djece svih dobnih skupina biti ključno u zaustavljanju pandemije te bi trebalo omogućiti učenicima, poglavito onima u višim razredima, da se nakon mjeseci online nastave vrate u školske klupe.

U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 2.260 djece u dobi između 12 i 15 godina, a provedeno je u Sjedinjenim Državama. Neslužbeni rezultati istraživanja ukazuju da među adolescentima koji su primili obje doze nije bilo zaraženih za razliku od 18 tinejdžera koji su primili placebo, izvijestio je Pfizer.

Riječ je o studiji manjeg opsega koja još nije službeno objavljena, ali riječ je o još jednom snažnom dokazu kako cjepivo osnažuje dječji imuni sustav. Znanstvenici tvrde da je kod djece te dobi utvrđena visoka razina antitijela koja se bore protiv virusa, nešto veća nego što je zabilježena pri istraživanju mlađih odraslih osoba.

Djeca su imala slične nuspojave kao i mlađe odrasle osobe, poput, bolova, temperature, hladnoće i umora, osobito nakon druge doze. Istraživanje će nastaviti pratiti sudionike iduće dvije godine kako bi se više doznali o dugoročnoj zaštiti protiv covida.

Pfizer i njegov njemački partner BioNTech će u idućim tjednima od američke Agencije za hranu i lijekove te od europskih regulatora tražiti da se po hitnom postupku odobri njihovo cjepivo protiv covida za djecu stariju od 12 godina.

- Nadamo se da ćemo prije početka sljedeće školske godine cijepiti tu dobnu skupinu u Sjedinjenim Državama, rekao je Albert Bourla, šef Upravnog odbora Pfizera.

Pfizer nije jedina tvrtka koja želi spustiti dobnu granicu za svoje cjepivo. Uskoro se očekuju rezultati američke studije o Moderninu cjepivu za dobnu skupinu između 12 i 17 godina.

Farmaceutska tvrtka Pfizer objavila je danas da je njihovo cjepivo protiv covida-19 sigurno i pruža snažnu zaštitu djeci starijoj od 12 godina, prenosi Jutarnji list otkriće Washington Posta.

Većina cjepiva protiv covida se preporučuje odraslim osobama, koja spadaju u visokorizičnu skupinu vezano za koronavirus. Konkretno, Pfizerovo cjepivo je dobilo odobrenje za cijepljenje osoba starijih od 16 godina. Međutim, smatra se da će cijepljenje djece svih dobnih skupina biti ključno u zaustavljanju pandemije te bi trebalo omogućiti učenicima, poglavito onima u višim razredima, da se nakon mjeseci online nastave vrate u školske klupe.

U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 2.260 djece u dobi između 12 i 15 godina, a provedeno je u Sjedinjenim Državama. Neslužbeni rezultati...
