Velika Britanija postala prva je država na svijetu koja je odobrila uporabu Pfizerovog i BioNTechovog cjepiva protiv koronavirusa, javlja BBC, a prenosi Jutarnji list.
Britanski regulator MHRA objavio je kako je cjepivo, koje prema posljednjim podacima ima 95-postotnu učinkovitost u zaštiti od covida-19, sigurno za distribuciju.
Prva cijepljenja već za nekoliko dana
BBC navodi kako bi cijepljenje prioritetnih skupina ljudi moglo početi već za nekoliko dana.
Velika Britanija naručila je 40 milijuna doza, a s obzirom da svatko treba primiti dvije doze, to će biti dovoljno za 20 milijuna njenih državljana. Još 10 milijuna doza bit će dostupno uskoro.
BBC piše kako je riječ o cjepivu koje je najbrže do sada prošlo put od ideje do realizacije jer je Pfizeru i BioNTechu trebalo samo 10 mjeseci kako bi prošli razvojne korake koji obično traju godinama.
Podsjetimo, jučer je objavljeno kako su Moderna i Pfizer-BioNTech u tijesnoj utrci za korištenje njihovih cjepiva protiv covida-19 u Europi, nakon što su obje kompanije u utorak od Europske unije zatražile hitno odobrenje, iako je ostalo nejasno može li ove godine početi primjena cjepiva.
Prijave Europskoj agenciji za lijekove (EMA) došle su dan nakon što je Moderna zatražila hitnu upotrebu svoga cjepiva u SAD-u i više od tjedan dana nakon što su isto učinili Pfizer i BioNTech.
Američka farmaceutska kompanija Pfizer i njezin njemački partner BioNTech rekli su da bi se njihovo cjepivo moglo početi koristiti u Europskoj uniji već ovaj mjesec.
EU odgodila odluku
"Možemo početi s dostavom u roku nekoliko sati (nakon odobrenja)", rekao je Sierk Poetting, voditelj poslovanja u BioNTechu. "Stvaramo zalihe. I sve što imamo može biti distribuirano za nekoliko sati."
Europski regulatori odgodili su, međutim, sastanak na kojem se očekuje odobrenje korištenja cjepiva tvrtki Moderna i Pfizer/BioNTech, čime je potencijalno još jednom usporena mogućnost cijepljenja građana EU protiv novog koronavirusa, moguće sve do iduće godine.
Kako smo jučer objavili, Europska agencija za lijekove (EMA) priopćila je kako će svoje mišljenje o cjepivu američke tvrtke Pfizer i njemačke biotehnološke kompanije BioNTech iznijeti tek 29. prosinca, pa je malo vjerojatno da bi distribucija cjepiva mogla početi prije siječnja. Naime, nakon njihovog mišljenja svaka država članica Europske unije mora posebno dozvoliti cijepljenje. Sve to moglo bi potrajati danima. Situacija je još gora kada je u pitanju cjepivo Moderne, o kojoj će EMA odlučivati tek 12. siječnja.

Hrvatska naručila milijun doza
Ravnatelj HZJZ-a Krunoslav Capak ranije ovog mjeseca je objavio kako je Hrvatska naručila milijun doza Pfizerovog cjepiva.
S obzirom na veliku osjetljivost tog cjepiva koje se mora čuvati na minus 80 stupnjeva Celzijevih, Pfizer će vjerojatno prve doze "pratiti" od izlaza iz tvornice do "krajnjeg potrošača", što znači da bi za prvo vrijeme lokalni distributeri "samo promatrali" tu osjetljivu "operaciju" dosad neviđenu u čuvanju i distribuciji cjepiva.
Inače, Pfizerovo cjepivo distribuirat će se u sarkofazima sa suhim ledom i u kutijama koje su popularno nazvane pizza-kutije, jer podsjećaju na one za dostavu pizze, a u njima će biti po 975 doza cjepiva. Rok da se ta količina potroši je 20 dana, s tim da se prije aplikacije mora odmrznuti i čuvati u običnom hladnjaku.

Velika Britanija postala prva je država na svijetu koja je odobrila uporabu Pfizerovog i BioNTechovog cjepiva protiv koronavirusa, javlja BBC, a prenosi Jutarnji list.
Britanski regulator MHRA objavio je kako je cjepivo, koje prema posljednjim podacima ima 95-postotnu učinkovitost u zaštiti od covida-19, sigurno za distribuciju.
Prva cijepljenja već za nekoliko dana
BBC navodi kako bi cijepljenje prioritetnih skupina ljudi moglo početi već za nekoliko dana.
Velika Britanija naručila je 40 milijuna doza, a s obzirom da svatko treba primiti dvije doze, to će biti dovoljno za 20 milijuna njenih državljana. Još 10 milijuna doza bit će dostupno uskoro.
BBC piše kako je riječ o cjepivu koje je najbrže do sada prošlo put od ideje do realizacije jer je Pfizeru i BioNTechu trebalo samo 10 mjeseci kako bi prošli razvojne korake koji obično traju godinama.
Podsjetimo, jučer je objavljeno kako su Moderna i Pfizer-BioNTech u tijesnoj utrci za korištenje njihovih cjepiva protiv covida-19 u Europi, nakon što su obje kompanije u utorak od Europske unije zatražile hitno odobrenje, iako je ostalo nejasno može li ove godine početi primjena cjepiva.
Prijave Europskoj agenciji za lijekove (EMA) došle su dan nakon što je Moderna zatražila hitnu upotrebu svoga cjepiva u SAD-u i više od tjedan dana nakon što su isto učinili Pfizer i BioNTech.
Američka farmaceutska kompanija Pfizer i njezin njemački partner BioNTech rekli su da bi se njihovo cjepivo moglo početi koristiti u Europskoj uniji već ovaj mjesec.
EU odgodila odluku
"Možemo početi s dostavom u roku nekoliko sati (nakon odobrenja)", rekao je Sierk Poetting, voditelj poslovanja u BioNTechu. "Stvaramo zalihe. I sve što imamo može biti distribuirano za nekoliko sati."
Europski regulatori odgodili su, međutim, sastanak na kojem se očekuje odobrenje korištenja cjepiva tvrtki Moderna i Pfizer/BioNTech, čime je potencijalno još jednom usporena mogućnost cijepljenja građana EU protiv novog koronavirusa, moguće sve do iduće godine.
Kako smo jučer objavili, Europska agencija za lijekove (EMA) priopćila je kako će svoje mišljenje o cjepivu američke tvrtke Pfizer i njemačke biotehnološke kompanije BioNTech iznijeti tek 29. prosinca, pa je malo vjerojatno da bi distribucija cjepiva mogla početi prije siječnja. Naime, nakon njihovog mišljenja svaka država članica Europske unije mora posebno dozvoliti cijepljenje. Sve to moglo bi potrajati danima. Situacija je još gora kada je u pitanju cjepivo Moderne, o kojoj će EMA odlučivati tek 12. siječnja.

Hrvatska naručila milijun doza
Ravnatelj HZJZ-a Krunoslav Capak ranije ovog mjeseca je objavio kako je Hrvatska naručila milijun doza Pfizerovog cjepiva.
S obzirom na veliku osjetljivost tog cjepiva koje se mora čuvati na minus 80 stupnjeva Celzijevih, Pfizer će vjerojatno prve doze "pratiti" od izlaza iz tvornice do "krajnjeg potrošača", što znači da bi za prvo vrijeme lokalni distributeri "samo promatrali" tu osjetljivu "operaciju" dosad neviđenu u čuvanju i distribuciji cjepiva.
Inače, Pfizerovo cjepivo distribuirat će se u sarkofazima sa suhim ledom i u kutijama koje su popularno nazvane pizza-kutije, jer podsjećaju na one za dostavu pizze, a u njima će biti po 975 doza cjepiva. Rok da se ta količina potroši je 20 dana, s tim da se prije aplikacije mora odmrznuti i čuvati u običnom hladnjaku.
