Da, politika je prljav posao. Zato što je prljava, demokracija je definirala da se čelni ljudi u zadanim razmacima mijenjaju kako se ne bi ušporkali kao donje rublje. Kako je to lijepo definirao Angelo Panebianco, a mene o tome poučio Inoslav Bešker, naš dopisnik iz Rima.

Ali je i posao za koji treba imati potrebno obrazovanje i znanje. U pravilu u nezrelih demokracija vrijedi pravilo - on je dobar privrednik, bit će i dobar ministar. Pogrešno. Upravljanje tvrtkom i državnim sustavom dva su gotovo pa disparatna pojma.

Događa se to i zrelim demokracijama, ako Italiju možemo zvati zrelom - oni su prvi počeli sa Silvijem Berlusconijem. No, vrhunac je Donald Trump. Tip koji je otvoreno tijekom kampanje 2016. godine pričao da zna sve o svemu, što znači da zna slabo ili malo (podsjećam na Sokrata koji je tvrdio da ne zna ništa ni o čemu).

Trump je cijeli svoj mandat proveo u sukobu sa sustavom. Zbog toga su ga mnogi cijenili tvrdeći kako ratuje s “dubokom državom”. Iako je otvoreno govorio kako ga smeta kad mu zakonodavno tijelo ne prihvati zakon ili kad ga postojeći zakon u nečem ograniči. I ljudima se činilo da je to u redu. Posebno iz pozicije snažne društvene podjele u SAD-u koju je Trump dodatno katalizirao. Republikanci su se postrojili iza njega kao svjetionika svoje budućnosti. I uspjeli su. Nikad u povijesti niti jedan predsjednik koji se bori za drugi mandat nije osvojio 74 milijuna glasova. To su bili svi republikanski, ali i velik broj neopredijeljenih birača, onih koji nisu htjeli isluženog Joea Bidena i njegovu politiku podizanja poreza.

Sve se to u zastrašujućem napadu bijelih suprematista (napomena: prema procjenama svih američkih obavještajnih agencija bitno opasnijih od terorista koji se lažno pozivaju na islam) na zgradu Kongresa u kojoj je teklo zasjedanje obaju domova stropoštalo i nestalo. Trump je svojim inzistiranjem da su izbori lažirani prvo alijenirao neopredijeljene birače (još u studenom je samo 28 posto ispitanika smatralo da su izbori pokradeni), a zatim i Republikansku stranku. Kad je shvatio da mu leđa okreće i potpredsjednik Mike Pence nije dvojio: pozvao je “svoje momke” kojima je neposredno nakon izbora rekao neka se pritaje. I oni su 6. siječnja stigli u Washington. Trump ih je podjario, sin Eric mu je u tome pomogao i bijela je rulja jurnula na instituciju koja predstavlja suverenitet građanki i građana. Kad je vidio što se događa Trump ih je pozvao da budu “miroljubivi”, a zatim da “mirno odu kući”. Za to se u konačnici pobrinula policija.

Pitanje svih pitanja američke politike sada glasi: što sada napraviti s Trumpom? Kako će izgledati njegovih preostalih 13 dana u Ovalnom uredu Bijele kuće? Kongres će uskoro gotovo sigurno po uobičajenom postupku proglasiti Bidena pobjednikom.

Trump je poražen, osramoćen, osamljen, svi su mu okrenuli leđa. Nije isključeno da donese neku odluku koja bi zemlju bacila u još dublju krizu. I zato se otvoreno priča o mogućnosti da se aktivira 25. amandman: svi članovi kabineta potpišu izjavu da je predsjednik nesposoban obavljati svoje funkcije. Kongres to odobrava, a potpredsjednik preuzima vlast. Na žalost, u tom kabinetu ima ulizica bez imalo integriteta, primjerice ministrica obrazovanja Elisabeth Dee DeVos. Izjavu moraju potpisati svi.

Vjerojatnije je stoga da će razumni članovi kabineta nastaviti raditi svoj posao ne obazirući se na Trumpa, a u slučaju bilo kakve njegove mahnite odluke djelovati svim sredstvima da se onemogući. Uključujući i odbijanje naredbe. Jer, za to će imati punu podršku Kongresa u čija oba doma demokrati imaju većinu. A i oni republikanci koji su se pokušali ugurati na vlak trumpizma sada će od toga bježati kao vrag od tamjana. Osim fanatičnih pobornika Trumpa, ali oni su manjina. Većina su pragmatični političari koji žele biti ponovno izabrani. 

Trump će vrlo vjerojatno nastaviti s dosadašnjom taktikom: rat preko Twittera i izbjegavanje javnosti. Jer, svi ga mediji, pa i Fox News, mrze. Tako teče mentalni proces ispod čudne, narančaste frizure.

Ne ulazimo u razdoblje koje bi se moglo opisati naslovom poznate knjige Johna Reeda Ten Days That Shook the World (Deset dana koji su potresli svijet) iako je na djelu bio pokušaj desnog prevrata, ali samo pokušaj. Neuspjeli. Ali ulazimo u 13 dana tijekom kojih bi Trump, svjestan koliko je nemoćan, mogao pokušati baciti još kakvu bombu. Za nadati se da će se primiriti, a u slučaju da ga zahvati amok treba se ufati u sustav provjera i ravnoteža američkog sustava. Koji nije zakazao ni s rezultatima izborima ni s djelovanjem većine političkih stranaka.

Ali, kad prođe tih 13 dana i Trump se zakopa u neku od rupa u svom omiljenom floridskom utočištu Mar-a-Lago, tada će imperija uzvratiti udarac. Trump više neće imati imunitet, a njegovi pozivi na skup i na skupu mogu se vrlo lako okarakterizirati kao poziv na pobunu protiv ustavnog poretka. Preživio je dosluh s Rusima, Muellerovu istragu, pokušaj opoziva jer je od ukrajinskog predsjednika Vladimira Zelenskog tražio da mu dostavi prljavštinu o Bidenovom sinu. Poticanje na rušenje američke demokracije je hybris koji će biti kažnjen. Nedvojbeno. I oko toga će postojati gotovo potpuno suglasje demokrata i republikanaca.

Da, politika je prljav posao. Zato što je prljava, demokracija je definirala da se čelni ljudi u zadanim razmacima mijenjaju kako se ne bi ušporkali kao donje rublje. Kako je to lijepo definirao Angelo Panebianco, a mene o tome poučio Inoslav Bešker, naš dopisnik iz Rima.

Ali je i posao za koji treba imati potrebno obrazovanje i znanje. U pravilu u nezrelih demokracija vrijedi pravilo - on je dobar privrednik, bit će i dobar ministar. Pogrešno. Upravljanje tvrtkom i državnim sustavom dva su gotovo pa disparatna pojma.

Događa se to i zrelim demokracijama, ako Italiju možemo zvati zrelom - oni su prvi počeli sa Silvijem Berlusconijem. No, vrhunac je Donald Trump. Tip koji je otvoreno tijekom kampanje 2016. godine pričao da zna sve o svemu, što znači da zna slabo ili malo (podsjećam na Sokrata koji je tvrdio da ne zna ništa ni o čemu).

Trump je cijeli svoj mandat proveo u sukobu sa sustavom. Zbog toga su ga mnogi cijenili tvrdeći kako ratuje s “dubokom državom”. Iako je otvoreno govorio kako ga smeta kad mu zakonodavno tijelo ne prihvati zakon ili kad ga postojeći zakon u nečem ograniči. I ljudima se činilo da je to u redu. Posebno iz pozicije snažne društvene podjele u SAD-u koju je Trump dodatno katalizirao. Republikanci su se postrojili iza njega kao svjetionika svoje budućnosti. I uspjeli su. Nikad u povijesti niti jedan predsjednik koji se bori za drugi mandat nije osvojio 74 milijuna glasova. To su bili svi republikanski, ali i velik broj neopredijeljenih birača, onih koji nisu htjeli isluženog Joea Bidena i njegovu politiku podizanja poreza.

Sve se to u zastrašujućem napadu bijelih suprematista (napomena: prema procjenama svih američkih obavještajnih agencija bitno opasnijih od terorista koji se lažno pozivaju na islam) na zgradu Kongresa u kojoj je teklo zasjedanje obaju domova stropoštalo i nestalo. Trump je svojim inzistiranjem da su izbori lažirani prvo alijenirao neopredijeljene birače (još u studenom je samo 28 posto ispitanika smatralo da su izbori pokradeni), a zatim i Republikansku stranku. Kad je shvatio da mu leđa okreće i potpredsjednik Mike Pence nije dvojio: pozvao je “svoje momke” kojima je neposredno nakon izbora rekao neka se pritaje. I oni su 6. siječnja stigli u Washington. Trump ih je podjario, sin Eric mu je u tome pomogao i bijela je rulja jurnula na instituciju koja predstavlja suverenitet građanki i građana. Kad je vidio što se događa Trump ih je pozvao da budu “miroljubivi”, a zatim da “mirno odu kući”. Za to se u konačnici pobrinula policija.

Pitanje svih pitanja američke politike sada glasi: što sada napraviti s Trumpom? Kako će izgledati njegovih preostalih 13 dana u Ovalnom uredu Bijele kuće? Kongres će uskoro gotovo sigurno po uobičajenom postupku proglasiti Bidena pobjednikom.

Trump je poražen, osramoćen, osamljen, svi su mu okrenuli leđa. Nije isključeno da donese neku odluku koja bi zemlju bacila u još dublju krizu. I zato se otvoreno priča o mogućnosti da se aktivira 25. amandman: svi članovi kabineta potpišu izjavu da je predsjednik nesposoban obavljati svoje funkcije. Kongres to odobrava, a potpredsjednik preuzima vlast. Na žalost, u tom kabinetu ima ulizica bez imalo integriteta, primjerice ministrica obrazovanja Elisabeth Dee DeVos. Izjavu moraju potpisati svi.

Vjerojatnije je stoga da će razumni članovi kabineta nastaviti raditi svoj posao ne obazirući se na Trumpa, a u slučaju bilo kakve njegove mahnite odluke djelovati svim sredstvima da se onemogući. Uključujući i odbijanje naredbe. Jer, za to će imati punu podršku Kongresa u čija oba doma demokrati imaju većinu. A i oni republikanci koji su se pokušali ugurati na vlak trumpizma sada će od toga bježati kao vrag od tamjana. Osim fanatičnih pobornika Trumpa, ali oni su manjina. Većina su pragmatični političari koji žele biti ponovno izabrani. 

Trump će vrlo vjerojatno nastaviti s dosadašnjom taktikom: rat preko Twittera i izbjegavanje javnosti. Jer, svi ga mediji, pa i Fox News, mrze. Tako teče mentalni proces ispod čudne, narančaste frizure.

Ne ulazimo u razdoblje koje bi se moglo opisati naslovom poznate knjige Johna Reeda Ten Days That Shook the World (Deset dana koji su potresli svijet) iako je na djelu bio pokušaj desnog prevrata, ali samo pokušaj. Neuspjeli. Ali ulazimo u 13 dana tijekom kojih bi Trump, svjestan koliko je nemoćan, mogao pokušati baciti još kakvu bombu. Za nadati se da će se primiriti, a u slučaju da ga zahvati amok treba se ufati u sustav provjera i ravnoteža američkog sustava. Koji nije zakazao ni s rezultatima izborima ni s djelovanjem većine političkih stranaka.

Ali, kad prođe tih 13 dana i Trump se zakopa u neku od rupa u svom omiljenom floridskom utočištu Mar-a-Lago, tada će imperija uzvratiti udarac. Trump više neće imati imunitet, a njegovi pozivi na skup i na skupu mogu se vrlo lako okarakterizirati kao poziv na pobunu protiv ustavnog poretka. Preživio je dosluh s Rusima, Muellerovu istragu, pokušaj opoziva jer je od ukrajinskog predsjednika Vladimira Zelenskog tražio da mu dostavi prljavštinu o Bidenovom sinu. Poticanje na rušenje američke demokracije je hybris koji će biti kažnjen. Nedvojbeno. I oko toga će postojati gotovo potpuno suglasje demokrata i republikanaca.
