Skulpture čelnika grupe G7 izrađene od električnog i elektronskog otpada koje podsjećaju na statue američkih predsjednika na planini Rushmore, postavljene su prije nekoliko dana u okrugu Cornwall, a izradio ih je kipar Joe Rush te im nadjenuo naziv Mount Recyclemore, pišu britanski mediji. 

Rush je rekao da je svrha postavljanja instalacije uoči okupljanja čelnika G7 upozoriti ih na neophodnu potrebu češćeg recikliranja i na štetu koja nastaje od odbačenih elektronskih uređaja te je dodao kako se nada da će sam postupak recikliranja elektronskog otpada postati jednostavniji.

"Jednostavno moramo se angažirati na tomu da popravak elektronskih uređaja postane jednostavniji ili oni moraju postati trajniji jer ih previše završava na odlagalištima otpada", upozorio je.

Prema podacima UN-a tijekom 2019. u svijetu je nastalo više od 53 milijuna tona e-otpada, što je čak devet milijuna tona više nego pet godina prije toga.

Među sedam svjetskih čelnika prikazanih instalacijom su britanski premijer Boris Johnson, japanski premijer Yoshihide Suga, francuski predsjednik Emmanuel Macron, talijanski šef vlade Mario Draghi, kanadski Justin Trudeau, njemačka kancelarka Angela Merkel i američki predsjednik Joe Biden.

Rush je pojasnio da je instalaciju postavio na vrlo vidljivo mjesto - nasuprot hotelu Carbis Bay, u kojemu se tijekom vikenda održava samit.

"Skulptura će biti okrenuta prema hotelu, odnosno prema njima i nadamo se da će im proraditi savjest te da će ih podsjetiti kako smo svi na istome brodu, kada je posrijedi upravljanje otpadom", kazao je britanski umjetnik.

Skulpture čelnika grupe G7 izrađene od električnog i elektronskog otpada koje podsjećaju na statue američkih predsjednika na planini Rushmore, postavljene su prije nekoliko dana u okrugu Cornwall, a izradio ih je kipar Joe Rush te im nadjenuo naziv Mount Recyclemore, pišu britanski mediji. 

Rush je rekao da je svrha postavljanja instalacije uoči okupljanja čelnika G7 upozoriti ih na neophodnu potrebu češćeg recikliranja i na štetu koja nastaje od odbačenih elektronskih uređaja te je dodao kako se nada da će sam postupak recikliranja elektronskog otpada postati jednostavniji.

"Jednostavno moramo se angažirati na tomu da popravak elektronskih uređaja postane jednostavniji ili oni moraju postati trajniji jer ih previše završava na odlagalištima otpada", upozorio je.

Prema podacima UN-a tijekom 2019. u svijetu je nastalo više od 53 milijuna tona e-otpada, što je čak devet milijuna tona više nego pet godina prije toga.

Među sedam svjetskih čelnika prikazanih instalacijom su britanski premijer Boris Johnson, japanski premijer Yoshihide Suga, francuski predsjednik Emmanuel Macron, talijanski šef vlade Mario Draghi, kanadski Justin Trudeau, njemačka kancelarka Angela Merkel i američki predsjednik Joe Biden.

Rush je pojasnio da je instalaciju postavio na vrlo vidljivo mjesto - nasuprot hotelu Carbis Bay, u kojemu se tijekom vikenda održava samit.

"Skulptura će biti okrenuta prema hotelu, odnosno prema njima i nadamo se da će im proraditi savjest te da će ih podsjetiti kako smo svi na istome brodu, kada je posrijedi upravljanje otpadom", kazao je britanski umjetnik.

Skulpture čelnika grupe G7 izrađene od električnog i elektronskog otpada koje podsjećaju na statue američkih predsjednika na planini Rushmore, postavljene su prije nekoliko dana u okrugu Cornwall, a izradio ih je kipar Joe Rush te im nadjenuo naziv Mount Recyclemore, pišu britanski mediji.
