U podzemnom sportskom centru u finskoj prijestolnici Helsinkiju, grupa tinejdžera igra "floorball", tip hokeja popularan u nordijskim zemljama tijekom dugih zimskih mjeseci. Nedaleko jednog od golova nalaze se mala vrata koja vode u "kontrolnu sobu", slabo osvijetljen prostor sa sustavima za opskrbljivanje zrakom te električnim generatorima.
Dogodi li se najgore i ako se rusko-ukrajinski rat prelije na druge zemlje, ovakvi sportski centri smjesta se mogu prenamijeniti u skloništa koja mogu primiti tisuće građana, javlja britanski Guardian. Građani se zbog toga osjećaju sigurnije, dodaje se.
- Spavam mnogo bolje znajući da imamo ovakva skloništa, posebice sada kada znamo što se sve događa u Ukrajini - kaže Tomi Rask, instruktor sigurnosti u Centru civilne zaštite u Helsinkiju koji je građane poveo u obilazak jednog od skloništa koje može primiti čak šest tisuća osoba.
Mreža skloništa
Rask pojašnjava kako je Finska svoju ekstenzivnu mrežu skloništa krenula graditi još 60-ih godina prošlog stoljeća, dijelom i zbog iskustva iz rata sa Sovjetskim savezom 1939. No, nakon 1945. ta zemlja nije imala vojnih sukoba, pa su sagrađena skloništa korištena kao sportski centri, bazeni, podzemne garaže i skladišta.No, ta je podzemna infrastruktura postala izuzetno značajna nakon što je Rusija krajem veljače pokrenula invaziju na Ukrajinu, jer Finska ima granicu s Rusijom koja se proteže na čak 1.340 kilometara. To je dovelo do redefiniranja obrambene strategije u najvažnijoj geopolitičkoj krizi od Drugog svjetskog rata.
Guardian podsjeća i kako je Rusija ovog tjedna pokrenula pregovore sa NATO-savezom, zabrinuta zbog "realne mogućnosti da bi Rusija mogla koristiti nuklearno taktičko oružje u Ukrajini".
- Ne želimo se hvalisati, ali finska skloništa su među najboljima i dugo smo ih gradili - kazuje Rask pokazujući dvoja čelična vrata na ulazu koja mogu izdržati čak i nuklearni napad. Dodao je da sve veće zgrade u zemlji imaju podzemna skloništa, a oko pet i pol tisuća ih je samo u Helsinkiju te mogu primiti oko 900 tisuća ljudi, što je više od populacije prijestolnice.
- Ta skloništa mogu pružiti zaštitu od gotovo svakog napada, uključujući kemijski. Imamo vodu, zrak i krevete, ljudi ovdje mogu preživjeti tjednima - kazao je.
Kao labirinti
Britanski list piše kako su skloništa građena poput labirinta, sa različitim prostorijama, a u nekima su čak i čajne kuhinje te dječja igrališta.
- Sve je građeno sa svrhom, željelo se da ljudi imaju svoju privatnost u takvim uvjetima - objašnjava Rask. Rastužuje ga situacija u Ukrajini, gdje su ljudi prisiljeni skrivati se u postajama podzemne željeznice ili u podrumima kazališta, odnosno, nemaju adekvatna skloništa.
Smatra se kako je finski sustav skloništa vitalan dio strategije sigurnosti zemlje. Nije to bez razloga.
Kako kaže Charly Salonius Pasternak, stručnjak za sigurnost pri Finskom institutu za međunarodne poslove, Finska se desetljećima priprema na mogući sukob sa svojim susjedima.
- Rusija nikada nije navedena kao primarni neprijatelj, ali uvijek smo znali da se moramo pripremiti u slučaju njihovog mogućeg napada - rekao je.
U Finskoj živi 5.5 milijuna ljudi, imaju vojsku od 280.000 ljudi te još 900 tisuća rezervista. Zemlja od 1990-ih ulaže mnogo u obranu, još od pada Sovjetskog saveza. Nedavno su tako najavili investiciju od oko sedam milijardi funti u nabavu 64 nova borbena zrakoplova F-35, podsjeća Jutarnji.hr.

U podzemnom sportskom centru u finskoj prijestolnici Helsinkiju, grupa tinejdžera igra "floorball", tip hokeja popularan u nordijskim zemljama tijekom dugih zimskih mjeseci. Nedaleko jednog od golova nalaze se mala vrata koja vode u "kontrolnu sobu", slabo osvijetljen prostor sa sustavima za opskrbljivanje zrakom te električnim generatorima.
Dogodi li se najgore i ako se rusko-ukrajinski rat prelije na druge zemlje, ovakvi sportski centri smjesta se mogu prenamijeniti u skloništa koja mogu primiti tisuće građana, javlja britanski Guardian. Građani se zbog toga osjećaju sigurnije, dodaje se.
- Spavam mnogo bolje znajući da imamo ovakva skloništa, posebice sada kada znamo što se sve događa u Ukrajini - kaže Tomi Rask, instruktor sigurnosti u Centru civilne zaštite u Helsinkiju koji je građane poveo u obilazak jednog od skloništa koje može primiti čak šest tisuća osoba.
Mreža skloništa
Rask pojašnjava kako je Finska svoju ekstenzivnu mrežu skloništa krenula graditi još 60-ih godina prošlog stoljeća, dijelom i zbog iskustva iz rata sa Sovjetskim savezom 1939. No, nakon 1945. ta zemlja nije imala vojnih sukoba, pa su sagrađena skloništa korištena kao sportski centri, bazeni, podzemne garaže i skladišta.No, ta je podzemna infrastruktura postala izuzetno značajna nakon što je Rusija krajem veljače pokrenula invaziju na Ukrajinu, jer Finska ima granicu s Rusijom koja se proteže na čak 1.340 kilometara. To je dovelo do redefiniranja obrambene strategije u najvažnijoj geopolitičkoj krizi od Drugog svjetskog rata.
Guardian podsjeća i kako je Rusija ovog tjedna pokrenula pregovore sa NATO-savezom, zabrinuta zbog "realne mogućnosti da bi Rusija mogla koristiti nuklearno taktičko oružje u Ukrajini".
- Ne želimo se hvalisati, ali finska skloništa su među najboljima i dugo smo ih gradili - kazuje Rask pokazujući dvoja čelična vrata na ulazu koja mogu izdržati čak i nuklearni napad. Dodao je da sve veće zgrade u zemlji imaju podzemna skloništa, a oko pet i pol tisuća ih je samo u Helsinkiju te mogu primiti oko 900 tisuća ljudi, što je više od populacije prijestolnice.
- Ta skloništa mogu pružiti zaštitu od gotovo svakog napada, uključujući kemijski. Imamo vodu, zrak i krevete, ljudi ovdje mogu preživjeti tjednima - kazao je.
Kao labirinti
Britanski list piše kako su skloništa građena poput labirinta, sa različitim prostorijama, a u nekima su čak i čajne kuhinje te dječja igrališta.
- Sve je građeno sa svrhom, željelo se da ljudi imaju svoju privatnost u takvim uvjetima - objašnjava Rask. Rastužuje ga situacija u Ukrajini, gdje su ljudi prisiljeni skrivati se u postajama podzemne željeznice ili u podrumima kazališta, odnosno, nemaju adekvatna skloništa.
Smatra se kako je finski sustav skloništa vitalan dio strategije sigurnosti zemlje. Nije to bez razloga.
Kako kaže Charly Salonius Pasternak, stručnjak za sigurnost pri Finskom institutu za međunarodne poslove, Finska se desetljećima priprema na mogući sukob sa svojim susjedima.
- Rusija nikada nije navedena kao primarni neprijatelj, ali uvijek smo znali da se moramo pripremiti u slučaju njihovog mogućeg napada - rekao je.
U Finskoj živi 5.5 milijuna ljudi, imaju vojsku od 280.000 ljudi te još 900 tisuća rezervista. Zemlja od 1990-ih ulaže mnogo u obranu, još od pada Sovjetskog saveza. Nedavno su tako najavili investiciju od oko sedam milijardi funti u nabavu 64 nova borbena zrakoplova F-35, podsjeća Jutarnji.hr.
