General Sergej Surovikin novi je zapovjednik ruske vojske u Ukrajini koji će voditi "specijalnu operaciju" nakon što je Moskva pretrpjela niz vojnih neuspjeha koji su izazvali kritike vodstva vojske.

Surovikin, bivši zapovjednik ruskih operacija u Siriji, "notorno je korumpiran i brutalan general čak i prema standardima ruske vojske", izvještava šef moskovskog ureda FT-a.

Rusko ministarstvo obrane u subotu je priopćilo da je general Sergej Surovikin imenovan "zapovjednikom Združene grupe snaga u područjima posebne vojne operacije", prenosi Jutarnji.hr.

Prema web stranici ministarstva, Surovikin ima 55 godina, rođen je u sibirskom Novosibirsku. Ima borbeno iskustvo u sukobima 1990-ih u Tadžikistanu i Čečeniji te u Siriji, gdje je Moskva intervenirala 2015. na strani režima Bashara al-Assada. Godine 2017. postavljen je na čelo ruske Grupe snaga u Siriji, za što je odlikovan ordenom Heroja Rusije.

Prema pisanjima medija, Surovikin je imao prilično šarenu prošlost. Proveo je sedam mjeseci u pritvoru nakon državnog udara i prosvjeda protiv Mihaila Gorbačova 1991. godine kada su tri prosvjednika umrla jer se Surovikin probio kroz njih. On je bio na strani "tvrdolinijaša" unutar Komunističke partije Sovjetskog Saveza (KPSS) koji su se protivili programu Gorbačovljevih reformi. Zatim je 1995. godine osuđen za krađu i prodaju službenog pištolja, iako je optužba kasnije poništena. Unatoč tome, on je također jedan od najsposobnijih časnika svoje generacije. Godine 2012. dobio zadatak da ustroji novu vojnu policiju (do tada u Rusiji nije postojala takva služba).

Do sada je Surovikin vodio snage "Juga" u Ukrajini, prema izvješću ministarstva obrane u srpnju. Odluka Moskve da preuzme vodstvo dolazi nakon niza poraza koje je pretrpjela ruska vojska u Ukrajini.

Ruske snage istjerane su iz većeg dijela sjeveroistočne regije Harkov početkom rujna ukrajinskom protuofenzivom koja je omogućila Kijevu da ponovno preuzme tisuće četvornih kilometara teritorija. Ruske trupe također su izgubile teritorij u južnoj regiji Herson.

Neuspjesi su doveli do sve veće kritike vojnog vodstva, uključujući i elitu.

Čečenski vođa Ramzan Kadirov prošlog je tjedna pozvao na otpuštanje visokog generala, dok je visoki zastupnik Andrej Kartapolov pozvao vojne dužnosnike da prestanu "lagati" o situaciji na bojnom polju.

General Sergej Surovikin novi je zapovjednik ruske vojske u Ukrajini koji će voditi "specijalnu operaciju" nakon što je Moskva pretrpjela niz vojnih neuspjeha koji su izazvali kritike vodstva vojske.

Surovikin, bivši zapovjednik ruskih operacija u Siriji, "notorno je korumpiran i brutalan general čak i prema standardima ruske vojske", izvještava šef moskovskog ureda FT-a.

Rusko ministarstvo obrane u subotu je priopćilo da je general Sergej Surovikin imenovan "zapovjednikom Združene grupe snaga u područjima posebne vojne operacije", prenosi Jutarnji.hr.

Prema web stranici ministarstva, Surovikin ima 55 godina, rođen je u sibirskom Novosibirsku. Ima borbeno iskustvo u sukobima 1990-ih u Tadžikistanu i Čečeniji te u Siriji, gdje je Moskva intervenirala 2015. na strani režima Bashara al-Assada. Godine 2017. postavljen je na čelo ruske Grupe snaga u Siriji, za što je odlikovan ordenom Heroja Rusije.

Proveo je sedam mjeseci u pritvoru nakon državnog udara i prosvjeda protiv Mihaila Gorbačova 1991. godine kada su tri prosvjednika umrla jer se Surovikin probio kroz njih. On je bio na strani "tvrdolinijaša" unutar Komunističke partije Sovjetskog Saveza (KPSS) koji su se protivili programu Gorbačovljevih reformi. Zatim je 1995. godine osuđen za krađu i prodaju službenog pištolja, iako je optužba kasnije poništena. Unatoč tome, on je također jedan od najsposobnijih časnika svoje generacije. Godine 2012. dobio zadatak da ustroji novu vojnu policiju (do tada u Rusiji nije postojala takva služba).

Do sada je Surovikin vodio snage "Juga" u Ukrajini, prema izvješću ministarstva obrane u srpnju. Odluka Moskve da preuzme vodstvo dolazi nakon niza poraza koje je pretrpjela ruska vojska u Ukrajini.

Ruske snage istjerane su iz većeg dijela sjeveroistočne regije Harkov početkom rujna ukrajinskom protuofenzivom koja je omogućila Kijevu da ponovno preuzme tisuće četvornih kilometara teritorija. Ruske trupe također su izgubile teritorij u južnoj regiji Herson.

Neuspjesi su doveli do sve veće kritike vojnog vodstva, uključujući i elitu.

Čečenski vođa Ramzan Kadirov prošlog je tjedna pozvao na otpuštanje visokog generala, dok je visoki zastupnik Andrej Kartapolov pozvao vojne dužnosnike da prestanu "lagati" o situaciji na bojnom polju.

General Sergej Surovikin novi je zapovjednik ruske vojske u Ukrajini koji će voditi "specijalnu operaciju" nakon što je Moskva pretrpjela niz vojnih neuspjeha koji su izazvali kritike vodstva vojske.

Surovikin, bivši zapovjednik ruskih operacija u Siriji, "notorno je korumpiran i brutalan general čak i prema standardima ruske vojske", izvještava šef moskovskog ureda FT-a.

Rusko ministarstvo obrane u subotu je priopćilo da je general Sergej Surovikin imenovan "zapovjednikom Združene grupe snaga u područjima posebne vojne operacije", prenosi Jutarnji.hr.

Prema web stranici ministarstva, Surovikin ima 55 godina, rođen je u sibirskom Novosibirsku. Ima borbeno iskustvo u sukobima 1990-ih u Tadžikistanu i Čečeniji te u Siriji, gdje je Moskva intervenirala 2015. na strani režima Bashar...
