Prapraunuka britanskog policajca koji je sudjelovao u potrazi za Jackom Trbosjekom tvrdi da je otkrila identitet serijskog ubojice prostitutki koji je harao na istoku Londona krajem 19. stoljeća.
Od tog vremena deseci ljudi su dovođeni u vezu s ubojstvima, čak i članovi kraljevske obitelji i premijeri.
U knjizi koja izlazi idući mjesec, Sarah Bax Horton, potomak policajca koji je sudjelovao u istrazi, tvrdi da je riječ o Hyamu Hyamsu, polazeći od opisa svjedoka.
U Sunday Telegraphu kaže da je ovo prvi put da je Hyam Hyams, proizvođač cigara, epileptičar i ovisnik o alkoholu, identificiran kao Jack Trbosjek.
Prema autoričinoj tezi, kako prenosi Sunday Telegraph, Hyams je često tukao svoju ženu, misleći da ga vara i uhićen je pošto je nju i svoju majku napao sjekirom.
Svjedoci ga opisuju kao muškarca u tridesetim godinama s usahlom rukom i zgrčenim koljenima.
Autorica iznosi medicinske podatke koji govore o tome da je Hyams, koji je 1888. imao 35 godina, zadobio ozljedu zbog koje nije mogao "saviti ni ispružiti" lijevu ruku te da je imao problema s koljenima i da je patio od redovitih napadaja epilepsije.
Medicinski podaci prikupljeni u bolnicama i ubožnicama upućuju na to da se vrijeme njegove fizičke i mentalne bolesti podudara s razdobljem ubojstava između kolovoza i studenog 1888.
U tom je razdoblju u četvrti Whithechapel ubijeno šest žena.
Autorica zaključuje da ga je bolest, pojačana alkoholizmom, navela na ubijanje. Ubojstva su prestala krajem 1888. kada je policija privela Hyamsa kao "pomahnitalog lutalicu".
Iduće godine je smješten u Colney Hatch Lunatic Asylum, na sjeveru Londona.
Godine 2014. autor i poslovni čovjek Russell Edwards, došao je do zaključka da je Jack Trbosjek bio Aaron Kosminski, židovski emigrant iz Poljske koji je radio kao brijač, a već su ga smatrali jednim od glavnih osumnjičenika. Njegova teza, bazirana na DNK analizi, pobijena je.

Prapraunuka britanskog policajca koji je sudjelovao u potrazi za Jackom Trbosjekom tvrdi da je otkrila identitet serijskog ubojice prostitutki koji je harao na istoku Londona krajem 19. stoljeća.
Od tog vremena deseci ljudi su dovođeni u vezu s ubojstvima, čak i članovi kraljevske obitelji i premijeri.
U knjizi koja izlazi idući mjesec, Sarah Bax Horton, potomak policajca koji je sudjelovao u istrazi, tvrdi da je riječ o Hyamu Hyamsu, polazeći od opisa svjedoka.
U Sunday Telegraphu kaže da je ovo prvi put da je Hyam Hyams, proizvođač cigara, epileptičar i ovisnik o alkoholu, identificiran kao Jack Trbosjek.
Prema autoričinoj tezi, kako prenosi Sunday Telegraph, Hyams je često tukao svoju ženu, misleći da ga vara i uhićen je pošto je nju i svoju majku napao sjekirom.
Svjedoci ga opisuju kao muškarca u tridesetim godinama s usahlom rukom i zgrčenim koljenima.
Autorica iznosi medicinske podatke koji govore o tome da je Hyams, koji je 1888. imao 35 godina, zadobio ozljedu zbog koje nije mogao "saviti ni ispružiti" lijevu ruku te da je imao problema s koljenima i da je patio od redovitih napadaja epilepsije.
Medicinski podaci prikupljeni u bolnicama i ubožnicama upućuju na to da se vrijeme njegove fizičke i mentalne bolesti podudara s razdobljem ubojstava između kolovoza i studenog 1888.
U tom je razdoblju u četvrti Whithechapel ubijeno šest žena.
Autorica zaključuje da ga je bolest, pojačana alkoholizmom, navela na ubijanje. Ubojstva su prestala krajem 1888. kada je policija privela Hyamsa kao "pomahnitalog lutalicu".
Iduće godine je smješten u Colney Hatch Lunatic Asylum, na sjeveru Londona.
Godine 2014. autor i poslovni čovjek Russell Edwards, došao je do zaključka da je Jack Trbosjek bio Aaron Kosminski, židovski emigrant iz Poljske koji je radio kao brijač, a već su ga smatrali jednim od glavnih osumnjičenika. Njegova teza, bazirana na DNK analizi, pobijena je.
