Europa se 2022. suočila s drugom najtoplijom godinom od kada postoje mjerenja, objavili su u utorak znanstvenici, upozorivši na klimatske promjene i posljedično vremenske ekstreme koji su uništili usjeve, isušili rijeke i prouzročili smrt tisuća ljudi.

Prema Službi EU-a za klimatske promjene Kopernik (C3S), godina 2022. je ujedno bila peta najtoplija od barem 1850.
Inače, podaci C3S sežu od 1950., no podaci koji su ranije bilježeni potvrđuju da je protekla godina bila jedna od najtoplijih u povijesti mjerenja.

C3S također ističe da su proteklih osam godina bile najtoplije godine u svijetu od kada postoje mjerenja.

Planet je sada za 1,2 stupnja Celzija topliji nego u predindustrijskom razdoblju, što je rezultat ljudskog djelovanja, a temperature u Europi su se tijekom posljednja tri desetljeća više nego dvostruko o povećale od svjetskog prosjeka.

Rekordno visoke temeprature i u Hrvatskoj 

"Već sada svjedočimo razornim posljedicama našeg svijeta koji se zagrijava", rekla je zamjenica direktora C3S-a Samantha Burgess koja poziva na hitno smanjenje emisije CO2 i na prilagodbu promjenama klime.

Prošlo ljeto je bilo najtoplije u Europi ikada, a temperature su obarale rekorde u brojnim zemljama, uključujući Hrvatsku, Italiju i Španjolsku.

Toplinski valovi su prouzročili dodatnih 20.000 umrlih u europskim zemljama, najviše u Francuskoj, Njemačkoj, Španjolskoj i Velikoj Britaniji.

U kombinaciji s nestašicom vode, silna vrelina prouzročila je sušu golemih razmjera, a analiza pokazuje da je to bila najgora suša u Europi u posljednjih 500 godina.

Suha i vruća klima izazvala je šumske požare od Španjolske do Slovenije uslijed kojih je u atmosferi diljem EU-a i Britanije završilo više stakleničkih plinova nego tijekom bilo kojeg ljeta u zadnjih 15 godina.

Emisije CO2 i dalje rastu

Globalne temperature će prestati rasti jedino ako zemlje postignu "nultu" stopu emisije štetnih plinova, tj. da ne ispuštaju više plinova u atmosferu nego što ih uklone.

EU, Velika Britanija, Kanada i Japan će to nastojati postići do 2050., a Kina i Indija ciljaju kasniji datum.

Za sada, međutim, globalna emisija štetnih plinova i dalje raste. Koncentracije CO2 u atmosferi su 2022. u prosjeku iznosile su 417 ppm (dijelova na milijun), što je najveća razina unazad više od dva milijuna godina, ističe Kopernik.

Osim Europe, i drugi dijelovi svijeta nose se sa štetnim posljedicama promjene klime, posebice siromašne zemlje poput Pakistana ili Somalije.

Zbog klimatskog fenomena La Nina, istok Australije je zabilježio je znatno hladnije temperature od uobičajenih i puno više kiše.
Na Antarktiku se dramatično smanjuje ledena površina te je u veljači 2022. zabilježeno najveće smanjenje ledenog pokrova u 44 godine koliko traje satelitsko praćenje.

Europa se 2022. suočila s drugom najtoplijom godinom od kada postoje mjerenja, objavili su u utorak znanstvenici, upozorivši na klimatske promjene i posljedično vremenske ekstreme koji su uništili usjeve, isušili rijeke i prouzročili smrt tisuća ljudi.

Prema Službi EU-a za klimatske promjene Kopernik (C3S), godina 2022. je ujedno bila peta najtoplija od barem 1850.
Inače, podaci C3S sežu od 1950., no podaci koji su ranije bilježeni potvrđuju da je protekla godina bila jedna od najtoplijih u povijesti mjerenja.

C3S također ističe da su proteklih osam godina bile najtoplije godine u svijetu od kada postoje mjerenja.

Planet je sada za 1,2 stupnja Celzija topliji nego u predindustrijskom razdoblju, što je rezultat ljudskog djelovanja, a temperature u Europi su se tijekom posljednja tri desetljeća više nego dvostruko o povećale od svjetskog prosjeka.

Rekordno visoke temeprature i u Hrvatskoj 

"Već sada svjedočimo razornim posljedicama našeg svijeta koji se zagrijava", rekla je zamjenica direktora C3S-a Samantha Burgess koja poziva na hitno smanjenje emisije CO2 i na prilagodbu promjenama klime.

Prošlo ljeto je bilo najtoplije u Europi ikada, a temperature su obarale rekorde u brojnim zemljama, uključujući Hrvatsku, Italiju i Španjolsku.

Toplinski valovi su prouzročili dodatnih 20.000 umrlih u europskim zemljama, najviše u Francuskoj, Njemačkoj, Španjolskoj i Velikoj Britaniji.

U kombinaciji s nestašicom vode, silna vrelina prouzročila je sušu golemih razmjera, a analiza pokazuje da je to bila najgora suša u Europi u posljednjih 500 godina.

Suha i vruća klima izazvala je šumske požare od Španjolske do Slovenije uslijed kojih je u atmosferi diljem EU-a i Britanije završilo više stakleničkih plinova nego tijekom bilo kojeg ljeta u zadnjih 15 godina.

Emisije CO2 i dalje rastu

Globalne temperature će prestati rasti jedino ako zemlje postignu "nultu" stopu emisije štetnih plinova, tj. da ne ispuštaju više plinova u atmosferu nego što ih uklone.

EU, Velika Britanija, Kanada i Japan će to nastojati postići do 2050., a Kina i Indija ciljaju kasniji datum.

Za sada, međutim, globalna emisija štetnih plinova i dalje raste. Koncentracije CO2 u atmosferi su 2022. u prosjeku iznosile su 417 ppm (dijelova na milijun), što je najveća razina unazad više od dva milijuna godina, ističe Kopernik.

Osim Europe, i drugi dijelovi svijeta nose se sa štetnim posljedicama promjene klime, posebice siromašne zemlje poput Pakistana ili Somalije.

Zbog klimatskog fenomena La Nina, istok Australije je zabilježio je znatno hladnije temperature od uobičajenih i puno više kiše.
Na Antarktiku se dramatično smanjuje ledena površina te je u veljači 2022. zabilježeno najveće smanjenje ledenog pokrova u 44 godine koliko traje satelitsko praćenje.
