Nakon četverogodišnjeg mandata, američki predsjednik Donald Trump uspio je osjetno produžiti listu svojih žestokih protivnika, ali i pridobiti pristaše.

Jedni zamjeraju Trumpu lošu reakciju u vrijeme pandemije, a drugi pak hvale gospodarski rast SAD-a do pojave koronavirusa.

Politologa Vedrana Obućinu pitali smo što je dobro, a što loše učinio Trump tijekom svog četverogodišnjeg mandata.

- Mislim da je Trump napravio dobre poteze za američke radnike. On doista jest ispunio obećanje koje je dao za povratak radnih mjesta u Americi, posebno u područjima koja su već bila, takoreći, postindustrijska, što mu je zasigurno donijelo mnogo glasova iz redova radničke klase. Naravno, to je populistički potez, ali, nevezano za to, ljudi su dobili posao.

Mislim da je na međunarodnom planu relativno dobra stvar bio i poziv za demilitarizaciju. Trump je jedan od rijetkih predsjednika, možda i jedini od hladnog rata, koji nije započeo novi ratni sukob. Dapače, on je počeo povlačiti američke vojnike i mislim da je, na neki način, svojom izolacionističkom politikom prihvatio mogućnost multipolarnosti u svijetu, što je, meni osobno, pozitivna stvar.

I recimo, iako je i to možda populistički potez, svakako je neobično što je razotkrio način funkcioniranja američkoga političkog establišmenta. U tome se krije jedan antielitizam. Trump je razotkrio lobističke veze, utjecaj velikih industrija, pa i pristranosti nekih medija. Predsjednik je oko toga bio otvoren, ali je upitno što je napravio protiv takve prakse, ukazao je stručnjak za međunarodne odnose.

Opstanak nacije

On ističe kako je Trump razotkrio duboke ideološke podjele u američkom društvu, ali je najnegativnije što je još povećao razdor do maksimuma umjesto da pronađe neko rješenje za okupljanje svih građana.

- Oštrom retorikom i politikama podjela doveo je američku naciju pred pitanje uopće nekog opstanka ideje američke nacije. Sada ima ekstremno desne i ekstremno lijeve skupine koje otvoreno prijete građanskim ratom, a Trumpova retorika dovela je do potpune polarizacije unutar obitelji i među prijateljima - naglasio je naš sugovornik, koji dodaje:

- Upitna je Trumpova psihološka sposobnost vladanja s obzirom na to da on iskazuje elemente konfabulacije, što je psihološko stanje u kojem osoba u potpunosti vjeruje u svoje projekcije i spremna je na sve da legitimira svoje uvjerenje. To se dijelom odnosi na Trumpa, što se može vidjeti i na proteklim izborima - on ne može priznati poraz jer je u potpunosti uvjeren u svoju pobjedu.

Prema procjeni riječkog politologa, Trump se na međunarodnom planu vodio politikom razdora te politikom posve neučinkovitih sankcija, ali je, također, ukazao na mnoge realpolitičke i nedemokratske igre u međunarodnim političkim odnosima.

Vrlo negativna stvar je, kako kaže, to što je Trump svojim stavovima legitimizirao unilateralno povlačenje iz međunarodnih protokola i time je znatno naštetio međunarodnom pravu.

- Suštom snagom svoje zemlje naštetio je mirovnim sporazumima, primjerice, vezanim za Iran i Izrael, klimatskim protokolima, trgovačkim uzusima i tako dalje. On je svakako uveo na najvišoj razini na svijetu korištenje društvenih mreža i dezinformacije, potom jednostavno delegitimiziranje znanstvenih istraživanja, mainstream medija - uvođenjem jednostavnog odbacivanja samo korištenjem fake news retorike - naglasio je Obućina.

Nakon četverogodišnjeg mandata, američki predsjednik Donald Trump uspio je osjetno produžiti listu svojih žestokih protivnika, ali i pridobiti pristaše.

Jedni zamjeraju Trumpu lošu reakciju u vrijeme pandemije, a drugi pak hvale gospodarski rast SAD-a do pojave koronavirusa.

Politologa Vedrana Obućinu pitali smo što je dobro, a što loše učinio Trump tijekom svog četverogodišnjeg mandata.

- Mislim da je Trump napravio dobre poteze za američke radnike. On doista jest ispunio obećanje koje je dao za povratak radnih mjesta u Americi, posebno u područjima koja su već bila, takoreći, postindustrijska, što mu je zasigurno donijelo mnogo glasova iz redova radničke klase. Naravno, to je populistički potez, ali, nevezano za to, ljudi su dobili posao.

Mislim da je na međunarodnom planu relativno dobra stvar bio i poziv za demilitarizaciju. Trump je jedan od rijetkih predsjednika, možda i jedini od hladnog rata, koji nije započeo novi ratni sukob. Dapače, on je počeo povlačiti američke vojnike i mislim da je, na neki način, svojom izolacionističkom politikom prihvatio mogućnost multipolarnosti u svijetu, što je, meni osobno, pozitivna stvar.

I recimo, iako je i to možda populistički potez, svakako je neobično što je razotkrio način funkcioniranja američkoga političkog establišmenta. U tome se krije jedan antielitizam. Trump je razotkrio lobističke veze, utjecaj velikih industrija, pa i pristranosti nekih medija. Predsjednik je oko toga bio otvoren, ali je upitno što je napravio protiv takve prakse, ukazao je stručnjak za međunarodne odnose.

Opstanak nacije

On ističe kako je Trump razotkrio duboke ideološke podjele u američkom društvu, ali je najnegativnije što je još povećao razdor do maksimuma umjesto da pronađe neko rješenje za okupljanje svih građana.

- Oštrom retorikom i politikama podjela doveo je američku naciju pred pitanje uopće nekog opstanka ideje američke nacije. Sada ima ekstremno desne i ekstremno lijeve skupine koje otvoreno prijete građanskim ratom, a Trumpova retorika dovela je do potpune polarizacije unutar obitelji i među prijateljima - naglasio je naš sugovornik, koji dodaje:

- Upitna je Trumpova psihološka sposobnost vladanja s obzirom na to da on iskazuje elemente konfabulacije, što je psihološko stanje u kojem osoba u potpunosti vjeruje u svoje projekcije i spremna je na sve da legitimira svoje uvjerenje. To se dijelom odnosi na Trumpa, što se može vidjeti i na proteklim izborima - on ne može priznati poraz jer je u potpunosti uvjeren u svoju pobjedu.

Prema procjeni riječkog politologa, Trump se na međunarodnom planu vodio politikom razdora te politikom posve neučinkovitih sankcija, ali je, također, ukazao na mnoge realpolitičke i nedemokratske igre u međunarodnim političkim odnosima.

Vrlo negativna stvar je, kako kaže, to što je Trump svojim stavovima legitimizirao unilateralno povlačenje iz međunarodnih protokola i time je znatno naštetio međunarodnom pravu.

- Suštom snagom svoje zemlje naštetio je mirovnim sporazumima, primjerice, vezanim za Iran i Izrael, klimatskim protokolima, trgovačkim uzusima i tako dalje. On je svakako uveo na najvišoj razini na svijetu korištenje društvenih mreža i dezinformacije, potom jednostavno delegitimiziranje znanstvenih istraživanja, mainstream medija - uvođenjem jednostavnog odbacivanja samo korištenjem fake news retorike - naglasio je Obućina.

Nakon četverogodišnjeg mandata, američki predsjednik Donald Trump uspio je osjetno produžiti listu svojih žestokih protivnika, ali i pridobiti pristaše.

Jedni zamjeraju Trumpu lošu reakciju u vrijeme pandemije, a drugi pak hvale gospodarski rast SAD-a do pojave koronavirusa.

Politologa Vedrana Obućinu pitali smo što je dobro, a što loše učinio Trump tijekom svog četverogodišnjeg mandata.

- Mislim da je Trump napravio dobre poteze za američke radnike. On doista jest ispunio obećanje koje je dao za povratak radnih mjesta u Americi, posebno u područjima koja su već bila, takoreći, postindustrijska, što mu je zasigurno donijelo mnogo glasova iz redova radničke klase. Naravno, to je populistički potez, ali, nevezano za to, ljudi su dobili posao.
