Ispitivanja Modernina cjepiva protiv covida-19 pokazala su da je ono sigurno i učinkovito i za tinejdžere, objavila je u utorak farmaceutska tvrtka, dodajući da bi se primjenom novog cjepiva mogla povećati njegova sveukupna količina na tržištu prije početka nove školske godine na jesen, prenosi američki NPR.

"Početkom lipnja predat ćemo rezultate istraživanja na uvid američkoj Upravi za hranu i lijekove (FDA) i globalnim regulatorima te ćemo zatražiti odobrenje" za primjenu našeg cjepiva među tinejdžerima u dobi od 12 do 17 godina, rekao je izvršni direktor Moderne Stéphane Bancel.

Tvrtka je pozitivne rezultate istraživanja objavila otprilike dva tjedna nakon što je FDA izvijestio da adolescenti u dobi od 12 do 15 godina ispunjavaju uvjete za primanje cjepiva Pfizer-BioNTecha.

Tada je dr. Janet Woodcock, vršiteljica dužnosti povjerenika FDA rekla da će odobrenje Pfizerova cjepiva za primjenu među tinejdžerima značiti "brži povratak osjećaju normalnog načina življenja".

U kliničkom ispitivanju Moderne sudjelovalo je 3732 adolescenta. Jedna je grupa dobila Modernino cjepivo, a druga placebo. Nijedan sudionik istraživanja koji je dobio dvije doze Modernina cjepiva nije razvio simptome covida-19, u usporedbi s četiri zabilježena slučaja zaraze u placebo skupini.

Znanstvenici su za mlade sudionike studije primijenili jednake definicije bolesti i načine ispitivanja kao u testiranjima među odraslim dobrovoljcima.

No s obzirom na to da je u adolescenata uočena niža stopa incidencije bolesti nego u odraslih osoba, ispitivanje je uključivalo još jednu definiciju koju je postavio CDC.

Ona se odnosila na ispitivanje blažih slučajeva zaraze, zahtijevajući pritom postojanje samo jednog simptoma covida-19 i pozitivan test. Nakon njezine primjene ustanovljeno je da je stopa djelotvornosti cjepiva poslije prve doze iznosila 93 posto.

"Većina nuspojava među ispitanicima bila je blaga ili umjerena", stoji u objavi Moderne te se navode simptomi poput glavobolje, umora, bolovi u mišićima i osjećaja zimice.

Ispitivanja Modernina cjepiva protiv covida-19 pokazala su da je ono sigurno i učinkovito i za tinejdžere, objavila je u utorak farmaceutska tvrtka, dodajući da bi se primjenom novog cjepiva mogla povećati njegova sveukupna količina na tržištu prije početka nove školske godine na jesen, prenosi američki NPR.

"Početkom lipnja predat ćemo rezultate istraživanja na uvid američkoj Upravi za hranu i lijekove (FDA) i globalnim regulatorima te ćemo zatražiti odobrenje" za primjenu našeg cjepiva među tinejdžerima u dobi od 12 do 17 godina, rekao je izvršni direktor Moderne Stéphane Bancel.

Tvrtka je pozitivne rezultate istraživanja objavila otprilike dva tjedna nakon što je FDA izvijestio da adolescenti u dobi od 12 do 15 godina ispunjavaju uvjete za primanje cjepiva Pfizer-BioNTecha.

Tada je dr. Janet Woodcock, vršiteljica dužnosti povjerenika FDA rekla da će odobrenje Pfizerova cjepiva za primjenu među tinejdžerima značiti "brži povratak osjećaju normalnog načina življenja".

U kliničkom ispitivanju Moderne sudjelovalo je 3732 adolescenta. Jedna je grupa dobila Modernino cjepivo, a druga placebo. Nijedan sudionik istraživanja koji je dobio dvije doze Modernina cjepiva nije razvio simptome covida-19, u usporedbi s četiri zabilježena slučaja zaraze u placebo skupini.

Znanstvenici su za mlade sudionike studije primijenili jednake definicije bolesti i načine ispitivanja kao u testiranjima među odraslim dobrovoljcima.

No s obzirom na to da je u adolescenata uočena niža stopa incidencije bolesti nego u odraslih osoba, ispitivanje je uključivalo još jednu definiciju koju je postavio CDC.

Ona se odnosila na ispitivanje blažih slučajeva zaraze, zahtijevajući pritom postojanje samo jednog simptoma covida-19 i pozitivan test. Nakon njezine primjene ustanovljeno je da je stopa djelotvornosti cjepiva poslije prve doze iznosila 93 posto.

Ispitivanja Modernina cjepiva protiv covida-19 pokazala su da je ono sigurno i učinkovito i za tinejdžere, objavila je u utorak farmaceutska tvrtka, dodajući da bi se primjenom novog cjepiva mogla povećati njegova sveukupna količina na tržištu prije početka nove školske godine na jesen, prenosi američki NPR.

"Početkom lipnja predat ćemo rezultate istraživanja na uvid američkoj Upravi za hranu i lijekove (FDA) i globalnim regulatorima te ćemo zatražiti odobrenje" za primjenu našeg cjepiva među tinejdžerima u dobi od 12 do 17 godina, rekao je izvršni direktor Moderne Stéphane Bancel.

Tvrtka je pozitivne rezultate istraživanja objavila otprilike dva tjedna nakon što je FDA izvijestio da adolescenti u dobi od 12 do 15 godina ispunjavaju uvjete za primanje cjepiva...
