Zimbabveanski predsjednik Robert Mugabe u subotu je rekao da će se zapljena zemljišnih posjeda nastaviti i zatražio da posljednji bijeli farmeri napuste Zimbabve.

Mugabe se svojim pristašama obratio na proslavi svoga 85. rođendana u Chinhoyi, oko 100 kilometara sjeverozapadno od Hararea.

- Raspodjela zemlje će se nastaviti. Nećemo stati - rekao je Mugabe - preostala
nekolicina bijelih farmera trebaju brzo napustiti svoje posjede jer im tamo nije mjesto.

Mugabeova rođendanska proslava, koja je navodno koštala 250.000 dolara (milijun i 450 tisuća kuna) održana je u vrijeme kada nova koalicijska zimbabveanska vlada ne uspijeva osigurati financijsku pomoć za propalo gospodarstvo te zemlje.

Mugabe vlada Zimbabveom od stjecanja neovisnosti od Britanije 1980. godine. Nedavno je bio primoran ući u koaliciju s dugogodišnjim rivalom Morganom Tsvangiraijem, koji je postao premijer, no prve tjedne nove vlasti obilježili su sporovi oko podjele ministarskih funkcija, a uhićenja političkih aktivista su nastavljena što je ostavilo sumnju u to koliko je vlasti Mugabe spreman prepustiti.

- Još uvijek imam nadzor i imam izvršnu vlast, tako da se nije mnogo promijenilo - rekao je Mugabe pred 2000 svojih poklonika.

Zimbabveanski predsjednik Robert Mugabe u subotu je rekao da će se zapljena zemljišnih posjeda nastaviti i zatražio da posljednji bijeli farmeri napuste Zimbabve.

Mugabe se svojim pristašama obratio na proslavi svoga 85. rođendana u Chinhoyi, oko 100 kilometara sjeverozapadno od Hararea.

- Raspodjela zemlje će se nastaviti. Nećemo stati - rekao je Mugabe - preostala
nekolicina bijelih farmera trebaju brzo napustiti svoje posjede jer im tamo nije mjesto.

Mugabeova rođendanska proslava, koja je navodno koštala 250.000 dolara (milijun i 450 tisuća kuna) održana je u vrijeme kada nova koalicijska zimbabveanska vlada ne uspijeva osigurati financijsku pomoć za propalo gospodarstvo te zemlje.

Mugabe vlada Zimbabveom od stjecanja neovisnosti od Britanije 1980. godine. Nedavno je bio primoran ući u koaliciju s dugogodišnjim rivalom Morganom Tsvangiraijem, koji je postao premijer, no prve tjedne nove vlasti obilježili su sporovi oko podjele ministarskih funkcija, a uhićenja političkih aktivista su nastavljena što je ostavilo sumnju u to koliko je vlasti Mugabe spreman prepustiti.

- Još uvijek imam nadzor i imam izvršnu vlast, tako da se nije mnogo promijenilo - rekao je Mugabe pred 2000 svojih poklonika.
