Microsoft je upravo potpisao najveći posao u području proširene stvarnosti ikad, piše novac.hr.
Američka vojska naručila je od najveće softverske kompanije na planeti više od 120.000 naočala za proširenu stvarnost za iznos od vrtoglavih 21,88 milijardi dolara. To je oko 141 milijardu kuna.
Microsoft je razvio novu generaciju tehnologije HoloLens. Riječ je o setovima za proširenu stvarnost, odnosno o svojevrsnim naočala, koje ne izgledaju doslovno kao naočale već više kao veziri na koje se projicira slika, a putem kojih se čovjeku može dati niz korisnih informacija, slično kao na ekranu mobitela.
Vojska novu tehnologiju želi koristiti kako bi vojnicima proširila mogućnosti praćenja stanja u okolini dok su na terenu.
Ugovor će vrijediti idućih deset godina.
I Microsoft i američka vojska najavili su ovaj posao, ali odvojeno.
Alex Kipman, brazilski softverski inženjer koji je u Microsoftu vodio razvoj HoloLensa kaže da su njegove tehničke mogućnosti velike. Dizajn sustava, pojašnjava, temelji se na takozvanoj tehnologiji Integriranog vizualnog povećanja (IVAS).
- Program pruža pojačanu svjesnost o situaciji, omogućavajući razmjenu informacija i donošenje odluka u različitim scenarijima - kaže Kipman.
Dodaje da novi set zapravo predstavlja platformu koja će vojnike učiniti sigurnijima i učinkovitijima na terenu.

Američka vojska objavila je da je od Microsofta naručila tehnologiju koja se temelji na HoloLensu 2 s ugrađenom IVAS tehnologijom.
- Uređaji su dizajnirani da pomognu vojnicima u borbi, simulacijama i treninzima, a sve putem jedne platforme - navodi vojska.
Ugovor je rezultat nastavka suradnje koja je započela prije tri godine. Microsoft je tada za 480 milijuna dolara dobio pilot posao u području proširene stvarnosti za američku vojsku. Tada je najavljeno da bi se taj posao mogao nastaviti kroz ugovor o narudžbi većoj od 100.000 uređaja od Microsofta.
Zanimljivo je da je posao dogovoren izravno i bez javnog natječaja.
U SAD-u, kao i većini zapadnih zemalja, naime, postoji institut izravnog dogovaranja posla kroz koji se prednost daje tvrtki s kojom država već surađuje i koja se dokazala da po kvaliteti, pouzdanosti, inovativnosti i poznavanju problematike i stanja na terenu zapravo nema pravu konkurenciju. To se posebno odnosi na vojsku gdje se takav instrument zove "Other Transaction Authority".
Putem tog mehanizma vojska se s Microsoftov dogovorila na način koji bi u Hrvatskoj bio sličan izravnoj pogodbi. Imala je u vidu i nekoliko drugih prijedloga, poput rješenja konkurenta Magic Leapa, ali je od toga odustala i posao dodijelila Microsoftu.
Ovo nije jedini posao koji je Microsoft osvojio za vojsku. U rujnu je pobijedio na natječaju za isporuku cloud tehnologija čime je osigurao posao vrijedna 10 milijardi dolara za američku vojsku. U tome je pobijedio Amazon, koji taj posao osporava na sudu.
Kao i u Googleu i Facebooku, tako je i u Microsoftu jedan dio zaposlenika protestirao zbog suradnje s vojskom i korištenja tehnologije koju tvrtka ima za vojne svrhe.
Iako su setovi za proširenu stvarnost najviše bili povezivani s igranjem računalnih igara, Microsoft je od početka naglašavao da ova tehnologija ima velike poslovne primjene. Tako HoloLens 2, odnosno nova inačica te tehnologije uopće se ne može koristiti za gaming već isključivo za poslovne primjene.

Microsoft je upravo potpisao najveći posao u području proširene stvarnosti ikad, piše novac.hr.
Američka vojska naručila je od najveće softverske kompanije na planeti više od 120.000 naočala za proširenu stvarnost za iznos od vrtoglavih 21,88 milijardi dolara. To je oko 141 milijardu kuna.
Microsoft je razvio novu generaciju tehnologije HoloLens. Riječ je o setovima za proširenu stvarnost, odnosno o svojevrsnim naočala, koje ne izgledaju doslovno kao naočale već više kao veziri na koje se projicira slika, a putem kojih se čovjeku može dati niz korisnih informacija, slično kao na ekranu mobitela.
Vojska novu tehnologiju želi koristiti kako bi vojnicima proširila mogućnosti praćenja stanja u okolini dok su na terenu.
Ugovor će vrijediti idućih deset godina.
I Microsoft i američka vojska najavili su ovaj posao, ali odvojeno.
Alex Kipman, brazilski softverski inženjer koji je u Microsoftu vodio razvoj HoloLensa kaže da su njegove tehničke mogućnosti velike. Dizajn sustava, pojašnjava, temelji se na takozvanoj tehnologiji Integriranog vizualnog povećanja (IVAS).

Ugovor je rezultat nastavka suradnje koja je započela prije tri godine. Microsoft je tada za 480 milijuna dolara dobio pilot posao u području proširene stvarnosti za američku vojsku. Tada je najavljeno da bi se taj posao mogao nastaviti kroz ugovor o narudžbi većoj od 100.000 uređaja od Microsofta.
Zanimljivo je da je posao dogovoren izravno i bez javnog natječaja.
U SAD-u, kao i većini zapadnih zemalja, naime, postoji institut izravnog dogovaranja posla kroz koji se prednost daje tvrtki s kojom država već surađuje i koja se dokazala da po kvaliteti, pouzdanosti, inovativnosti i poznavanju problematike i stanja na terenu zapravo nema pravu konkurenciju. To se posebno odnosi na vojsku gdje se takav instrument zove "Other Transaction Authority".
Putem tog mehanizma vojska se s Microsoftov dogovorila na način koji bi u Hrvatskoj bio sličan izravnoj pogodbi. Imala je u vidu i nekoliko drugih prijedloga, poput rješenja konkurenta Magic Leapa, ali je od toga odustala i posao dodijelila Microsoftu.
Ovo nije jedini posao koji je Microsoft osvojio za vojsku. U rujnu je pobijedio na natječaju za isporuku cloud tehnologija čime je osigurao posao vrijedna 10 milijardi dolara za američku vojsku. U tome je pobijedio Amazon, koji taj posao osporava na sudu.
Kao i u Googleu i Facebooku, tako je i u Microsoftu jedan dio zaposlenika protestirao zbog suradnje s vojskom i korištenja tehnologije koju tvrtka ima za vojne svrhe.
Iako su setovi za proširenu stvarnost najviše bili povezivani s igranjem računalnih igara, Microsoft je od početka naglašavao da ova tehnologija ima velike poslovne primjene. Tako HoloLens 2, odnosno nova inačica te tehnologije uopće se ne može koristiti za gaming već isključivo za poslovne primjene.
