Meksička vlada spremna je ponuditi politički azil Julianu Assangeu i podržava odluku britanske sutkinje da se osnivač WikiLeaksa ne izruči SAD-u, rekao je u ponedjeljak meksički predsjednik Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

"Zatražit ću od ministra vanjskih poslova da upita Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo može li osloboditi Assanega, a Meksiko će mu ponuditi politički azil", rekao je Obrador na redovnoj konferenciji za medije.

"Assange je novinar i zaslužuje priliku, ja sam za to da mu se da oprost", rekao je. "Mi ćemo mu dati zaštitu".

Britanski sud u ponedjeljak je odbio izručenje američkog zviždača i osnivača WikiLeaksa Juliana Assangea Sjedinjenim Državama gdje je optužen za špijunažu. 

Sutkinja Vanessa Baraitser odbacila je gotovo sve argumente obrane o politički motiviranoj optužnici, no odlučila je da ne može dopustiti Assangeovo izručenje SAD-u jer postoji veliki rizik da bi počinio samoubojstvo.  

Lopez Obrador, koji je odluku nazvao "pobjedom pravde", prije godinu dana pozvao je Britaniju da oslobodi Assangea, nazvavši njegov pritvor "mučenjem". Za dokumente koje je objavio rekao je da su pokazali "autoritarna" djelovanja u svijetu.

SAD je protiv 49-godišnjeg Assangea podignuo 18 točaka optužnice zbog objavljivanja 500.000 dokumenata s oznakom tajnosti 2010. godine.

Radi se o povjerljivim dokumentima s diplomatskom korespondencijom i detaljima o američkim vojnim operacijama u Afganistanu i Iraku. 

Assange je proteklo desetljeće proveo ili u zatvoru ili u ekvadorskom veleposlanstvu u Londonu gdje je zatražio azil.

Lopez Obrador, ljevičar koji je dužnost preuzeo u prosincu 2018., već dugo kritizira vladajuće elite i politike establišmenta.

Meksička vlada spremna je ponuditi politički azil Julianu Assangeu i podržava odluku britanske sutkinje da se osnivač WikiLeaksa ne izruči SAD-u, rekao je u ponedjeljak meksički predsjednik Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

"Zatražit ću od ministra vanjskih poslova da upita Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo može li osloboditi Assanega, a Meksiko će mu ponuditi politički azil", rekao je Obrador na redovnoj konferenciji za medije.

"Assange je novinar i zaslužuje priliku, ja sam za to da mu se da oprost", rekao je. "Mi ćemo mu dati zaštitu".

Britanski sud u ponedjeljak je odbio izručenje američkog zviždača i osnivača WikiLeaksa Juliana Assangea Sjedinjenim Državama gdje je optužen za špijunažu. 

Sutkinja Vanessa Baraitser odbacila je gotovo sve argumente obrane o politički motiviranoj optužnici, no odlučila je da ne može dopustiti Assangeovo izručenje SAD-u jer postoji veliki rizik da bi počinio samoubojstvo.  

Lopez Obrador, koji je odluku nazvao "pobjedom pravde", prije godinu dana pozvao je Britaniju da oslobodi Assangea, nazvavši njegov pritvor "mučenjem". Za dokumente koje je objavio rekao je da su pokazali "autoritarna" djelovanja u svijetu.

SAD je protiv 49-godišnjeg Assangea podignuo 18 točaka optužnice zbog objavljivanja 500.000 dokumenata s oznakom tajnosti 2010. godine.

Radi se o povjerljivim dokumentima s diplomatskom korespondencijom i detaljima o američkim vojnim operacijama u Afganistanu i Iraku. 

Assange je proteklo desetljeće proveo ili u zatvoru ili u ekvadorskom veleposlanstvu u Londonu gdje je zatražio azil.

Lopez Obrador, ljevičar koji je dužnost preuzeo u prosincu 2018., već dugo kritizira vladajuće elite i politike establišmenta.

Meksička vlada spremna je ponuditi politički azil Julianu Assangeu i podržava odluku britanske sutkinje da se osnivač WikiLeaksa ne izruči SAD-u, rekao je u ponedjeljak meksički predsjednik Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

"Zatražit ću od ministra vanjskih poslova da upita Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo može li osloboditi Assanega, a Meksiko će mu ponuditi politički azil", rekao je Obrador na redovnoj konferenciji za medije.

"Assange je novinar i zaslužuje priliku, ja sam za to da mu se da oprost", rekao je. "Mi ćemo mu dati zaštitu".

Britanski sud u ponedjeljak je odbio izručenje američkog zviždača i osnivača WikiLeaksa Juliana Assangea Sjedinjenim Državama gdje je optužen za špijunažu.
