- Jedna je osoba ubijena vatrenim oružjem u Portlandu, u saveznoj državi Oregonu, u kaotičnim okolnostima tijekom sukoba antirasista i pobornika američkog predsjednika Donalda Trumpa.

U Portlandu se svakodnevno odvijaju prosvjedi protiv policijskog nasilja u Sjedinjenim Državama nakon smrti Afroamerikanca Georga Floyda, kojeg je u svibnju tijekom nasilnog privođenja koljenom ugušio bijeli policajac. Pokret je dodatno osnažen nakon što je u policijskoj pucnjavi ranjen Afroamerikanac Jacob Blake u Kenoshi u Wisconsinu.

Više stotina automobila pobornika američkog predsjednika organizirano je pristizalo u subotu u Portland, u središte grada gdje se se okupili prosvjednici pokreta Black Lives Matter (Crni životi vrijede), što je izazvalo razmjenu uvreda, svađa i ispaljivanja paintballa i suzavca, prema amaterskim snimkama.

Lokalna policija izvijestila je o "nasilju prosvjednika i protuprosvjednika" te o policijskom privođenju.

Pucnjevi su odjekivali oko 20,45 po mjesnom vremenu u središtu grada te su policajci pronašli žrtvu pogođenu vatrenim oružjem u prsa.  Za sada nisu poznate okolnosti ni je li ta smrt povezana s prosvjedima, a istraga je otvorena.

Pošaljite Nacionalnu gardu

Na temelju fotografija, ubijeni muškarac ima na glavi kapu "Patriot Prayer", lokalne skupine krajnje desnice, aktivne protiv proturasističkih prosvjeda koji tri mjeseca traju u Portlandu.

Američki predsjednik Donald Trump odaslao je više desetaka tvitova u nedjelju ujutro i kritizirao demokratskog gradonačenika Portlanda, Teda Wheelera, koji je odbio pozvati Nacionalnu gardu i općenito popustljivost gradova kojima upravljaju demokrati prema delinkvencjii i nasilju.

U Sjedinjenim Državama policija je u nadležnosti lokalne uprave.

"U manje od jednog sata naša Nacionalna garda bi riješila te probleme", tvitao je Trump.

"Stanovnici Portlanda neće više dugo podnositi tu nesigurnost. Gradonačelnik je imbecil. Pošaljite Nacionalnu gardu!", dodao je i pozvao na uspostavu "uspostavu reda i zakona".

Politika podjele

S druge strane, demokrati optužuju predsjednika da dolijeva ulje na vatru i potiče nasilje.

Gradonačelnik Portlanda Ted Wheeler poslao je u petak otvoreno pismo Donaldu Trump u kojem ga upozorava na njegovu "politiku podjele i demagogije".

"Znamo da ste zaključili da su slike nasilja i vandalizma vaša jedina putovnica prema reizboru", napisao je Wheeler.

- Jedna je osoba ubijena vatrenim oružjem u Portlandu, u saveznoj državi Oregonu, u kaotičnim okolnostima tijekom sukoba antirasista i pobornika američkog predsjednika Donalda Trumpa.

U Portlandu se svakodnevno odvijaju prosvjedi protiv policijskog nasilja u Sjedinjenim Državama nakon smrti Afroamerikanca Georga Floyda, kojeg je u svibnju tijekom nasilnog privođenja koljenom ugušio bijeli policajac. Pokret je dodatno osnažen nakon što je u policijskoj pucnjavi ranjen Afroamerikanac Jacob Blake u Kenoshi u Wisconsinu.

Više stotina automobila pobornika američkog predsjednika organizirano je pristizalo u subotu u Portland, u središte grada gdje se se okupili prosvjednici pokreta Black Lives Matter (Crni životi vrijede), što je izazvalo razmjenu uvreda, svađa i ispaljivanja paintballa i suzavca, prema amaterskim snimkama.

Lokalna policija izvijestila je o "nasilju prosvjednika i protuprosvjednika" te o policijskom privođenju.

Pucnjevi su odjekivali oko 20,45 po mjesnom vremenu u središtu grada te su policajci pronašli žrtvu pogođenu vatrenim oružjem u prsa.  Za sada nisu poznate okolnosti ni je li ta smrt povezana s prosvjedima, a istraga je otvorena.

Pošaljite Nacionalnu gardu

Na temelju fotografija, ubijeni muškarac ima na glavi kapu "Patriot Prayer", lokalne skupine krajnje desnice, aktivne protiv proturasističkih prosvjeda koji tri mjeseca traju u Portlandu.

Američki predsjednik Donald Trump odaslao je više desetaka tvitova u nedjelju ujutro i kritizirao demokratskog gradonačenika Portlanda, Teda Wheelera, koji je odbio pozvati Nacionalnu gardu i općenito popustljivost gradova kojima upravljaju demokrati prema delinkvencjii i nasilju.

U Sjedinjenim Državama policija je u nadležnosti lokalne uprave.

"U manje od jednog sata naša Nacionalna garda bi riješila te probleme", tvitao je Trump.

"Stanovnici Portlanda neće više dugo podnositi tu nesigurnost. Gradonačelnik je imbecil. Pošaljite Nacionalnu gardu!", dodao je i pozvao na uspostavu "uspostavu reda i zakona".

Politika podjele

S druge strane, demokrati optužuju predsjednika da dolijeva ulje na vatru i potiče nasilje.

Gradonačelnik Portlanda Ted Wheeler poslao je u petak otvoreno pismo Donaldu Trump u kojem ga upozorava na njegovu "politiku podjele i demagogije".

"Znamo da ste zaključili da su slike nasilja i vandalizma vaša jedina putovnica prema reizboru", napisao je Wheeler.

- Jedna je osoba ubijena vatrenim oružjem u Portlandu, u saveznoj državi Oregonu, u kaotičnim okolnostima tijekom sukoba antirasista i pobornika američkog predsjednika Donalda Trumpa.

U Portlandu se svakodnevno odvijaju prosvjedi protiv policijskog nasilja u Sjedinjenim Državama nakon smrti Afroamerikanca Georga Floyda, kojeg je u svibnju tijekom nasilnog privođenja koljenom ugušio bijeli policajac. Pokret je dodatno osnažen nakon što je u policijskoj pucnjavi ranjen Afroamerikanac Jacob Blake u Kenoshi u Wisconsinu.
