Najmanje 44 osobe su poginule, a oko 150 ih je ozlijeđeno u stampedu na masovnom vjerskom okupljanju u Izraelu koji su pohodili deseci tisuća ultraortodoksnih Židova.

Na Twitteru su se pojavili videozapisi snimljeni netom prije velike tragedije na kojima je prikazano mnoštvo vjernika u razdraganom plesu. Čini se da su snimke nastale u amfiteatru u blizini groba rabina, središnjoj točki slavlja. Mediji su ranije objavili da je mnoštvo u jednom trenutku nagrnulo prema grobu židovskog mudraca, rabina Šimona bar Yochaija, nakon čega se dogodila tragedija, piše Jutarnji list.

U podnožju planine Meron okupilo se oko 100.000 osoba, iako je na tom području dopuštenje okupljanje 10 puta manjeg broja ljudi. Nezapamćena tragedija dogodila se na najvećem masovnom okupljanju u Izraelu od početka pandemije.

Uzrok stampeda još uvijek se utvrđuje ali očevici govore da su se ljudi ugušili prignječeni gomilom, a drugi su bili pregaženi u uskom stubištu dok su tražili izlaz. Snimke prikazuju muškarce kako mahnito pokušavaju srušiti željezne zidove kako bi izbjegli tragediju, a u metežu su mnoga djeca odvojena od roditelja, piše The Guardian.

Neki su očevici optužili policiju da je postavila barijere koje su blokirale ili ograničile prolaz stubištem, što je dovelo do stampeda. 

Dvir (24) je rekao za Vojni radio da je mnoštvo ljudi gurnuto u jedan kut i nastao je metež. Rekao je da je prvi red ljudi pao na pod, a zatim je i drugi red, gdje je on stajao, također počeo padati.

- Mislio sam da ću umrijeti, rekao je.

U jednom videozapisu može se vidjeti kako se gomila muškaraca provlači kroz uski prolaz, pri čemu neki padaju na pod, a jedan zapomaže mahanjem. 

Izraelski mediji objavili su i potresnu fotografiju poredanih mrtvih tijela u plastičnim vrećama, a snimke s mjesta tragedije prikazuju kaotične scene.

David je za BBC ispričao da je došao vidjeti krijes kada je iznenada izbio kaos.

- Naša tijela su najednom bila pometena. Neki su ljudi zgnječeni na podu, a drugi su uslijed meteža bacani u zrak. Bilo je tamo jedno dijete koje me štipalo za nogu, boreći se za život. Čekali smo na spasioce nekih 20 minuta u ovom užasnom kaosu. Bilo je strašno, rekao je.

Jedan preživjeli koji je prebačenu u bolnicu rekao je za izraelski javni servis Kan da nitko nije znao što treba raditi.

- Počelo je s velikom gužvom. Na meni je ležalo puno ljudi. Ja sam ležao na nekome tko nije disao. Čuli su se vrisci, bio je kaos. Vidio sam djecu ispod mene. Jedina stvar na koju sam mislio je da nisam htio da moje dijete ostane siroče.

Najmanje 44 osobe su poginule, a oko 150 ih je ozlijeđeno u stampedu na masovnom vjerskom okupljanju u Izraelu koji su pohodili deseci tisuća ultraortodoksnih Židova.

Na Twitteru su se pojavili videozapisi snimljeni netom prije velike tragedije na kojima je prikazano mnoštvo vjernika u razdraganom plesu. Čini se da su snimke nastale u amfiteatru u blizini groba rabina, središnjoj točki slavlja. Mediji su ranije objavili da je mnoštvo u jednom trenutku nagrnulo prema grobu židovskog mudraca, rabina Šimona bar Yochaija, nakon čega se dogodila tragedija, piše Jutarnji list.

U podnožju planine Meron okupilo se oko 100.000 osoba, iako je na tom području dopuštenje okupljanje 10 puta manjeg broja ljudi. Nezapamćena tragedija dogodila se na najvećem masovnom okupljanju u Izraelu od početka pandemije.

Uzrok stampeda još uvijek se utvrđuje ali očevici govore da su se ljudi ugušili prignječeni gomilom, a drugi su bili pregaženi u uskom stubištu dok su tražili izlaz. Snimke prikazuju muškarce kako mahnito pokušavaju srušiti željezne zidove kako bi izbjegli tragediju, a u metežu su mnoga djeca odvojena od roditelja, piše The Guardian.

Neki su očevici optužili policiju da je postavila barijere koje su blokirale ili ograničile prolaz stubištem, što je dovelo do stampeda. 

Dvir (24) je rekao za Vojni radio da je mnoštvo ljudi gurnuto u jedan kut i nastao je metež. Rekao je da je prvi red ljudi pao na pod, a zatim je i drugi red, gdje je on stajao, također počeo padati.

- Mislio sam da ću umrijeti, rekao je.

U jednom videozapisu može se vidjeti kako se gomila muškaraca provlači kroz uski prolaz, pri čemu neki padaju na pod, a jedan zapomaže mahanjem. 

Izraelski mediji objavili su i potresnu fotografiju poredanih mrtvih tijela u plastičnim vrećama, a snimke s mjesta tragedije prikazuju kaotične scene.

David je za BBC ispričao da je došao vidjeti krijes kada je iznenada izbio kaos.

- Naša tijela su najednom bila pometena. Neki su ljudi zgnječeni na podu, a drugi su uslijed meteža bacani u zrak. Bilo je tamo jedno dijete koje me štipalo za nogu, boreći se za život. Čekali smo na spasioce nekih 20 minuta u ovom užasnom kaosu. Bilo je strašno, rekao je.

Jedan preživjeli koji je prebačenu u bolnicu rekao je za izraelski javni servis Kan da nitko nije znao što treba raditi.

- Počelo je s velikom gužvom. Na meni je ležalo puno ljudi. Ja sam ležao na nekome tko nije disao. Čuli su se vrisci, bio je kaos. Vidio sam djecu ispod mene. Jedina stvar na koju sam mislio je da nisam htio da moje dijete ostane siroče.
