Brazilski poduzetnici, intelektualci i kulturnjaci okupili su se u četvrtak kako bi pročitali proglas kojim brane demokratske institucije, nakon što je predsjednik Jair Bolsonara dao naslutiti da neće prihvatiti rezultate predsjedničkih izbora u listopadu.

Osim što je izrazio sumnje u sustav elektroničkog glasovanja, aktualni je predsjednik i lider krajnje desnice optužio suce Vrhovnog suda, inače zaduženih za nadgledanje izbornog procesa, da favoriziraju njegovog protukandidata s ljevice, koji ima prednost u anketama.

Istaknuti Brazilci, od bankara do sindikalnih vođa, potpisali su manifest koji je sastavio Konfederacija industrijalaca savezne države Sao Paulo, čime su iskazali podršku pravosudnim tijelima dok se, pod Bolsonarovim napadima, pripremaju za izbore koji će se održati 2. listopada.

Najviše sudsko tijelo nazvali su ''posljednjim čuvarom Ustava'', koje je s punim integritetom upravljalo izbornim procesima u zemlji.

Ispred Pravnog fakulteta Sveučilišta Sao Paulo pročitan je još jedan proglas, koji je potpisalo gotovo milijun ljudi, istaknuta je zabrinutost za brazilsku demokraciju koja je, smatraju okupljeni građani, pod opasnošću.

''Dolje Bolsonaro'', uzvikivali su građani nakon pročitanog proglasa ''Pismo Brazilcima'', koje je pročitano na istom mjestu kao i proglas iz 1977. godine, kojim je osuđena ondašnja vojna diktatura.

Proglas je potpisao i bivši predsjednik te Bolsonarov izazivač na sljedećim izborima Luiz Inacio Lula, čija se prednost smanjuje ako je suditi prema posljednjim istraživanjima javnog mnijenja.

Bolsonaro, inače u dobrim odnosima s bivšim američkim predsjednikom Donaldom Trumpom kojega je podržavao u njegovim izjavama o namještanju predsjedničkih izbora u SAD-u 2020., ismijao je proglas kazavši da ne osjeća potrebu potpisati ga kako bi dokazao svoja demokratska uvjerenja.

Njegovi protivnici kažu da Bolsonaro priprema teren za osporavanje izbornih rezultata u slučaju poraza, kao što je Trump to činio nakon izbora u studenome 2020. godine

Nekoliko tisuća prosvjednika potom je marširalo ulicama Sao Paula u znak podrške demokraciji, a slične prosvjede organizacije civilnog društva namjeravaju održati i u drugim brazilskim gradovima.

''Svrha prosvjeda je obrana demokracije protiv prijetnji o nekom novom puču'', izjavio je za Reuters Raimundo Bonfim, jedan od organizatora.

Brazilsko biračko tijelo desetljećima nije bilo ovoliko polarizirano, stoga se očekuje drugi krug izbora između Bolsonara i Lule, koji je na rasporedu 30. listopada ukoliko nijedan kandidat ne osvoji potrebnih 50 posto plus jedan glas u prvom krugu.

Vodeći nacionalni dnevnici otkazali su predizborno sučeljavanje koje se trebalo održati 14. rujna, budući da dva vodeća kandidata nisu potvrdili dolazak. Bolsonaro je kazao da nema namjeru sučeljavati se u prvom krugu, već jedino u drugom, dok se Lula ispričao prethodno dogovorenim obavezama.

Brazilski poduzetnici, intelektualci i kulturnjaci okupili su se u četvrtak kako bi pročitali proglas kojim brane demokratske institucije, nakon što je predsjednik Jair Bolsonara dao naslutiti da neće prihvatiti rezultate predsjedničkih izbora u listopadu.

Osim što je izrazio sumnje u sustav elektroničkog glasovanja, aktualni je predsjednik i lider krajnje desnice optužio suce Vrhovnog suda, inače zaduženih za nadgledanje izbornog procesa, da favoriziraju njegovog protukandidata s ljevice, koji ima prednost u anketama.

Istaknuti Brazilci, od bankara do sindikalnih vođa, potpisali su manifest koji je sastavio Konfederacija industrijalaca savezne države Sao Paulo, čime su iskazali podršku pravosudnim tijelima dok se, pod Bolsonarovim napadima, pripremaju za izbore koji će se održati 2. listopada.

Najviše sudsko tijelo nazvali su ''posljednjim čuvarom Ustava'', koje je s punim integritetom upravljalo izbornim procesima u zemlji.

Ispred Pravnog fakulteta Sveučilišta Sao Paulo pročitan je još jedan proglas, koji je potpisalo gotovo milijun ljudi, istaknuta je zabrinutost za brazilsku demokraciju koja je, smatraju okupljeni građani, pod opasnošću.

''Dolje Bolsonaro'', uzvikivali su građani nakon pročitanog proglasa ''Pismo Brazilcima'', koje je pročitano na istom mjestu kao i proglas iz 1977. godine, kojim je osuđena ondašnja vojna diktatura.

Proglas je potpisao i bivši predsjednik te Bolsonarov izazivač na sljedećim izborima Luiz Inacio Lula, čija se prednost smanjuje ako je suditi prema posljednjim istraživanjima javnog mnijenja.

Bolsonaro, inače u dobrim odnosima s bivšim američkim predsjednikom Donaldom Trumpom kojega je podržavao u njegovim izjavama o namještanju predsjedničkih izbora u SAD-u 2020., ismijao je proglas kazavši da ne osjeća potrebu potpisati ga kako bi dokazao svoja demokratska uvjerenja.

Njegovi protivnici kažu da Bolsonaro priprema teren za osporavanje izbornih rezultata u slučaju poraza, kao što je Trump to činio nakon izbora u studenome 2020. godine

Nekoliko tisuća prosvjednika potom je marširalo ulicama Sao Paula u znak podrške demokraciji, a slične prosvjede organizacije civilnog društva namjeravaju održati i u drugim brazilskim gradovima.

''Svrha prosvjeda je obrana demokracije protiv prijetnji o nekom novom puču'', izjavio je za Reuters Raimundo Bonfim, jedan od organizatora.

Brazilsko biračko tijelo desetljećima nije bilo ovoliko polarizirano, stoga se očekuje drugi krug izbora između Bolsonara i Lule, koji je na rasporedu 30. listopada ukoliko nijedan kandidat ne osvoji potrebnih 50 posto plus jedan glas u prvom krugu.

Brazilski poduzetnici, intelektualci i kulturnjaci okupili su se u četvrtak kako bi pročitali proglas kojim brane demokratske institucije, nakon što je predsjednik Jair Bolsonara dao naslutiti da neće prihvatiti rezultate predsjedničkih izbora u listopadu.

Osim što je izrazio sumnje u sustav elektroničkog glasovanja, aktualni je predsjednik i lider krajnje desnice optužio suce Vrhovnog suda, inače zaduženih za nadgledanje izbornog procesa, da favoriziraju njegovog protukandidata s ljevice, koji ima prednost u anketama.

Istaknuti Brazilci, od bankara do sindikalnih vođa, potpisali su manifest koji je sastavio Konfederacija industrijalaca savezne države Sao Paulo, čime su iskazali podršku pravosudnim tijelima dok se, pod Bolsonarovim napadima, pripremaju za izbore koji će se...
