Sirijsko ministarstvo vanjskih poslova osudilo je iznenadni posjet najvišeg vojnog časnika Sjedinjenih Država američkoj vojnoj bazi na sjeveroistoku zemlje, nazvavši ga "ilegalnim". Oko 900 američkih vojnika raspoređeno je na nekoliko položaja diljem sjeveroistočne Sirije u sklopu borbe protiv ostataka skupine ISIL. Prema Sirijskom opservatoriju za ljudska prava (SOHR), američke su snage 3. rujna uspostavile treću vojnu bazu u toj zemlji. 

U svom kratkom posjetu u subotu, načelnik Združenog stožera general Mark Milley susreo se s vojnicima stacioniranim u područjima ratom razorene Sirije pod kontrolom Sirijskih demokratskih snaga (SDF), predvođenih Kurdima. Upitan od novinara vjeruje li da je raspoređivanje vojnika u Siriji vrijedno rizika, Milley je misiju povezao sa sigurnošću Sjedinjenih Država i njihovih saveznika, rekavši: "Ako mislite da je to važno, onda je odgovor ‘Da‘. Ja mislim da je važno"

Sirijski dužnosnik ministarstva vanjskih poslova je komentirao: "Sirija oštro osuđuje nezakoniti posjet američkog načelnika stožera ilegalnoj američkoj vojnoj bazi na sjeveroistoku Sirije." Dodao je da je posjet "očito kršenje suvereniteta i integriteta" sirijskog teritorija te pozvao američku administraciju da "odmah prestane sa svojim sustavnim i kontinuiranim kršenjem međunarodnog prava i potporom separatističkim naoružanim skupinama".

Vlada predsjednika Bashara al-Assada smatra raspoređivanje američkih snaga na teritoriju pod kontrolom SDF-a "okupacijom" i optužuje kurdske snage povezane s SAD-om za "separatističke tendencije". Kurdski dužnosnici poriču bilo kakve separatističke težnje i kažu da nastoje očuvati svoju samoupravu, koju Damask ne priznaje, piše Al Jazeera.

Samo tri tjedna nakon što je potres magnitude 7,7 pogodio ratom razorenu zemlju, američka okupacijska vojska nastavila je svoju kampanju ilegalnog iznošenja nafte s područja sjeveroistočne Sirije. Prema izvješćima očevidaca iz sela Al-Yarubiyah u pokrajini Hasakah, 27. veljače američke su trupe prevezle najmanje 34 tankera napunjenih ukradenom naftom preko ilegalnog graničnog prijelaza Al-Mahmoudiya do svojih baza u Iraku.

Visoka američka dužnosnica Dana Stroul je još 2019. objasnila da američka vojska "posjeduje" resursima bogat sjeveroistočni dio Sirije koji kontroliraju takozvane Sirijske demokratske snage (SDF) i koristi ga kao "polugu" u sukobu.

“Sjedinjene Države raspolažu uvjerljivim oblicima utjecaja za oblikovanje ishoda koji bi više pogodovao i štitio interese SAD-a. Prvi je trećina sirijskog teritorija koja je u vlasništvu američke vojske sa svojim lokalnim partnerom, Sirijskim demokratskim snagama. A ta jedna trećina Sirije je bogata resursima - to je gospodarska sila Sirije. Dakle, gdje su ugljikovodici, kao i poljoprivredna moć. Ne radi samo o ovoj trećini sirijskog teritorija koju posjeduju američka vojska i naša oružana prisutnost, kako za borbu protiv ISIS-a, tako i kao poluga za utjecaj na ukupni politički proces za širi sirijski sukob”, rekla je još tada Stoul.

Sirijska vlada optužila je Sjedinjene Države za krađu prirodnih resursa zemlje, nevjerojatnih 107 milijardi dolara od početka rata 2011. godine.

Sirijsko ministarstvo vanjskih poslova osudilo je iznenadni posjet najvišeg vojnog časnika Sjedinjenih Država američkoj vojnoj bazi na sjeveroistoku zemlje, nazvavši ga "ilegalnim". Oko 900 američkih vojnika raspoređeno je na nekoliko položaja diljem sjeveroistočne Sirije u sklopu borbe protiv ostataka skupine ISIL. Prema Sirijskom opservatoriju za ljudska prava (SOHR), američke su snage 3. rujna uspostavile treću vojnu bazu u toj zemlji. 

U svom kratkom posjetu u subotu, načelnik Združenog stožera general Mark Milley susreo se s vojnicima stacioniranim u područjima ratom razorene Sirije pod kontrolom Sirijskih demokratskih snaga (SDF), predvođenih Kurdima. Upitan od novinara vjeruje li da je raspoređivanje vojnika u Siriji vrijedno rizika, Milley je misiju povezao sa sigurnošću Sjedinjenih Država i njihovih saveznika, rekavši: "Ako mislite da je to važno, onda je odgovor ‘Da‘. Ja mislim da je važno"

Sirijski dužnosnik ministarstva vanjskih poslova je komentirao: "Sirija oštro osuđuje nezakoniti posjet američkog načelnika stožera ilegalnoj američkoj vojnoj bazi na sjeveroistoku Sirije." Dodao je da je posjet "očito kršenje suvereniteta i integriteta" sirijskog teritorija te pozvao američku administraciju da "odmah prestane sa svojim sustavnim i kontinuiranim kršenjem međunarodnog prava i potporom separatističkim naoružanim skupinama".

Vlada predsjednika Bashara al-Assada smatra raspoređivanje američkih snaga na teritoriju pod kontrolom SDF-a "okupacijom" i optužuje kurdske snage povezane s SAD-om za "separatističke tendencije". Kurdski dužnosnici poriču bilo kakve separatističke težnje i kažu da nastoje očuvati svoju samoupravu, koju Damask ne priznaje, piše Al Jazeera.

Samo tri tjedna nakon što je potres magnitude 7,7 pogodio ratom razorenu zemlju, američka okupacijska vojska nastavila je svoju kampanju ilegalnog iznošenja nafte s područja sjeveroistočne Sirije. Prema izvješćima očevidaca iz sela Al-Yarubiyah u pokrajini Hasakah, 27. veljače američke su trupe prevezle najmanje 34 tankera napunjenih ukradenom naftom preko ilegalnog graničnog prijelaza Al-Mahmoudiya do svojih baza u Iraku.

Visoka američka dužnosnica Dana Stroul je još 2019. objasnila da američka vojska "posjeduje" resursima bogat sjeveroistočni dio Sirije koji kontroliraju takozvane Sirijske demokratske snage (SDF) i koristi ga kao "polugu" u sukobu.

“Sjedinjene Države raspolažu uvjerljivim oblicima utjecaja za oblikovanje ishoda koji bi više pogodovao i štitio interese SAD-a. Prvi je trećina sirijskog teritorija koja je u vlasništvu američke vojske sa svojim lokalnim partnerom, Sirijskim demokratskim snagama. A ta jedna trećina Sirije je bogata resursima - to je gospodarska sila Sirije. Dakle, gdje su ugljikovodici, kao i poljoprivredna moć. Ne radi samo o ovoj trećini sirijskog teritorija koju posjeduju američka vojska i naša oružana prisutnost, kako za borbu protiv ISIS-a, tako i kao poluga za utjecaj na ukupni politički proces za širi sirijski sukob”, rekla je još tada Stoul.

Sirijska vlada optužila je Sjedinjene Države za krađu prirodnih resursa zemlje, nevjerojatnih 107 milijardi dolara od početka rata 2011. godine.
