Filipinske humanitarne i spasilačke službe nalaze se u petak u visokom stupnju pripravnosti uslijed dolaska snažnog tajfuna Mangkhut, koji je izazvao otkazivanje nastave u školama, ukidanje stotina zrakoplovnih letova i zabranu plovidbi po moru, te natjerao više stotina tisuća ljudi na hitnu evakuaciju.

Mangkhut, najjači tajfun koji je pogodio Filipine ove godine, popraćen je naletima vjetra od 205 km/h koji se može podići i na 255 km/h, objavila je meteorološka služba. Sa sobom nosi kišnu oblačnu frontu promjera 900 kilometara. 

Tajfun se kreće zapadno i sjeverozapadno brzinom od 20 km/h i predviđa se da će pogoditi sjevernu pokrajinu Cagayan ili Isabelu u subotu rano ujutro, dodaju filipinsku dužnosnici.

Očekuje se da će tajfun pogoditi najmanje 5,2 milijuna ljudi što je više od početne procjene od 4,3 milijuna otkako se ciklona počela blago mijenjati, iznosi vijeće za smanjanje rizika od državnih katastrofa. 

Filipinski Crveni križ je rekao kako bi broj mogao doseći i do 10 milijuna. 

Vlasti su u četvrtak uslijed jakih naleta oluje započele s evakuacijom više od 800,000 ljudi iz njihovih kuća, posebice onih koji žive u obalnim naseljima.

Većina domaćih i međunarodnih letova je otkazana u subotu, a 4000 putnika zaglavilo je u različitim dijelovima istočnih i središnjih Filipina nakon što su vlasti zabranile plovidbe po moru. Škola i vlada od petka privremeno obustavljaju radno vrijeme.

Filipine svake godine u prosjeku pogodi 20 ciklona koje uzrokuju poplave, klizišta i ostale nesreće. Jedan od snažnijih u skorije vrijeme, tajfun Haiyan koji je pogodio zemlju u studenom 2013., odnio je 6,300 života i iselio više od četiri milijuna ljudi.

Filipinske humanitarne i spasilačke službe nalaze se u petak u visokom stupnju pripravnosti uslijed dolaska snažnog tajfuna Mangkhut, koji je izazvao otkazivanje nastave u školama, ukidanje stotina zrakoplovnih letova i zabranu plovidbi po moru, te natjerao više stotina tisuća ljudi na hitnu evakuaciju.

Mangkhut, najjači tajfun koji je pogodio Filipine ove godine, popraćen je naletima vjetra od 205 km/h koji se može podići i na 255 km/h, objavila je meteorološka služba. Sa sobom nosi kišnu oblačnu frontu promjera 900 kilometara. 

Tajfun se kreće zapadno i sjeverozapadno brzinom od 20 km/h i predviđa se da će pogoditi sjevernu pokrajinu Cagayan ili Isabelu u subotu rano ujutro, dodaju filipinsku dužnosnici.

Očekuje se da će tajfun pogoditi najmanje 5,2 milijuna ljudi što je više od početne procjene od 4,3 milijuna otkako se ciklona počela blago mijenjati, iznosi vijeće za smanjanje rizika od državnih katastrofa. 

Filipinski Crveni križ je rekao kako bi broj mogao doseći i do 10 milijuna. 

Vlasti su u četvrtak uslijed jakih naleta oluje započele s evakuacijom više od 800,000 ljudi iz njihovih kuća, posebice onih koji žive u obalnim naseljima.

Većina domaćih i međunarodnih letova je otkazana u subotu, a 4000 putnika zaglavilo je u različitim dijelovima istočnih i središnjih Filipina nakon što su vlasti zabranile plovidbe po moru. Škola i vlada od petka privremeno obustavljaju radno vrijeme.

Filipine svake godine u prosjeku pogodi 20 ciklona koje uzrokuju poplave, klizišta i ostale nesreće. Jedan od snažnijih u skorije vrijeme, tajfun Haiyan koji je pogodio zemlju u studenom 2013., odnio je 6,300 života i iselio više od četiri milijuna ljudi.
