Ukrajinske snage morat će prepustiti još teritorija Rusiji ako američka vojna pomoć uskoro ne stigne, upozorio je ukrajinski predsjednik Volodimir Zelenski u svom najnovijem, dosad najozbiljnijem apelu Kongresu da usvoji paket vrijedan više milijardi dolara.

Administracija predsjednika Joea Bidena pokušava kroz Zastupnički dom progurati međunarodni paket pomoći od 95 milijardi dolara, koji uključuje i 60 milijardi dolara za Ukrajinu. To traje već više od mjesec dana nakon što je usvojen u Senatu.

Zelenski je upozorio da je nedostatak pomoći dramatičan i da bi mogao ugroziti velike ukrajinske gradove.

"Ako nema potpore SAD-a, to znači da nemamo protuzračnu obranu, rakete Patriot, uređaje za ometanje elektroničkog ratovanja, topničke granate od 155 milimetara", rekao je za The Washington Post tijekom intervjua objavljenog jučer. “To znači da ćemo se vratiti, povući, korak po korak, malim koracima", dodao je Zelenski.

Rekao je da će Kijev biti prisiljen činiti manje u ratu i štedjeti na resursima, što bi moglo imati ozbiljne posljedice.

“Ako vam treba 8000 metaka dnevno za obranu prve crte, a imate samo, primjerice, 2000 granata, nemate izbora nego raditi manje”, objasnio je, rekavši da bi rješenje moglo biti skraćivanje crte bojišnice.

"Ako pukne, Rusi bi mogli krenuti na velike gradove", upozorio je. Veći dio istoka Ukrajine bio je pod kontrolom ruske vojske otkako je Moskva pokrenula svoju invaziju prije više od dvije godine.

Prošlog mjeseca Kijev je najavio povlačenje iz Avdijivke, jednog od većih gradova na istočnom frontu, koji je mjesecima bio pod ruskom opsadom te je potpuno razoren.

Gubitak Avdijivke i Bahmuta govori da se rat okrenuo u korist Rusije

Iako je njegov strateški značaj ograničen, gubitak Avdijivke i Bahmuta, koji su Rusi osvojili prošle godine, ukazuje na činjenicu da se rat okrenuo u korist Rusije.

Nedavno je Rusija pojačala napade na pogranična sela s Ukrajinom jer je ruski predsjednik Vladimir Putin iznio mogućnost stvaranja "sanitarne zone" unutar Ukrajine kako bi zaštitio jugozapadne regije svoje zemlje.

To se dogodilo nakon što je Putin osigurao pobjedu na namještenim predsjedničkim izborima ranije ovog mjeseca.

Neizvjestan američki zakon o međunarodnoj pomoći možda u konačnici neće izgledati kao paket od 95 milijardi dolara koji je Senat usvojio. Naime, republikanci žele vidjeti neku vrstu programa zajma, dok bi demokrati mogli imati rezerve prema svim dodatnim uvjetima koje bi republikanci mogli ponuditi kako bi paket bio usvojen.

Predsjednik Zastupničkog doma Mike Johnson sugerirao je kako je otvoren prema odvojenom dvostranačkom planu u Zastupničkom domu i rekao je republikanskim zastupnicima da bi mogao zakazati sjednicu nakon uskršnje stanke.

U međuvremenu, rekao je Zelenski, Ukrajina pokušava "naći neki način da se ne povuče".

Cilj Ukrajine za sada je održati situaciju na prvoj liniji stabilnom, rekao je Zelenski. "Ako fronta ostane stabilna, Ukrajina može naoružati i uvježbati nove brigade u pozadini za izvođenje nove protuofenzive kasnije ove godine", rekao je.

Predsjednik je rekao da opcije Ukrajine ovise o tome što Kongres odluči. “Ne možemo više gubiti vrijeme. Ukrajina ne može biti političko pitanje među stranama", rekao je.

Ukrajinske snage morat će prepustiti još teritorija Rusiji ako američka vojna pomoć uskoro ne stigne, upozorio je ukrajinski predsjednik Volodimir Zelenski u svom najnovijem, dosad najozbiljnijem apelu Kongresu da usvoji paket vrijedan više milijardi dolara.

Administracija predsjednika Joea Bidena pokušava kroz Zastupnički dom progurati međunarodni paket pomoći od 95 milijardi dolara, koji uključuje i 60 milijardi dolara za Ukrajinu. To traje već više od mjesec dana nakon što je usvojen u Senatu.

Zelenski je upozorio da je nedostatak pomoći dramatičan i da bi mogao ugroziti velike ukrajinske gradove.

"Ako nema potpore SAD-a, to znači da nemamo protuzračnu obranu, rakete Patriot, uređaje za ometanje elektroničkog ratovanja, topničke granate od 155 milimetara", rekao je za The Washington Post tijekom intervjua objavljenog jučer. “To znači da ćemo se vratiti, povući, korak po korak, malim koracima", dodao je Zelenski.

Rekao je da će Kijev biti prisiljen činiti manje u ratu i štedjeti na resursima, što bi moglo imati ozbiljne posljedice.

“Ako vam treba 8000 metaka dnevno za obranu prve crte, a imate samo, primjerice, 2000 granata, nemate izbora nego raditi manje”, objasnio je, rekavši da bi rješenje moglo biti skraćivanje crte bojišnice.

"Ako pukne, Rusi bi mogli krenuti na velike gradove", upozorio je. Veći dio istoka Ukrajine bio je pod kontrolom ruske vojske otkako je Moskva pokrenula svoju invaziju prije više od dvije godine.

Prošlog mjeseca Kijev je najavio povlačenje iz Avdijivke, jednog od većih gradova na istočnom frontu, koji je mjesecima bio pod ruskom opsadom te je potpuno razoren.

Gubitak Avdijivke i Bahmuta govori da se rat okrenuo u korist Rusije

Iako je njegov strateški značaj ograničen, gubitak Avdijivke i Bahmuta, koji su Rusi osvojili prošle godine, ukazuje na činjenicu da se rat okrenuo u korist Rusije.

Predsjednik Zastupničkog doma Mike Johnson sugerirao je kako je otvoren prema odvojenom dvostranačkom planu u Zastupničkom domu i rekao je republikanskim zastupnicima da bi mogao zakazati sjednicu nakon uskršnje stanke.

U međuvremenu, rekao je Zelenski, Ukrajina pokušava "naći neki način da se ne povuče".

Cilj Ukrajine za sada je održati situaciju na prvoj liniji stabilnom, rekao je Zelenski. "Ako fronta ostane stabilna, Ukrajina može naoružati i uvježbati nove brigade u pozadini za izvođenje nove protuofenzive kasnije ove godine", rekao je.

Predsjednik je rekao da opcije Ukrajine ovise o tome što Kongres odluči. “Ne možemo više gubiti vrijeme. Ukrajina ne može biti političko pitanje među stranama", rekao je.
