Znanstvenici vjeruju da mogu objasnutu zašto neki ljudi koji imaju covid razviju stanje koje podsjeća na ozebline na palčevima, ali i na ostalim prstima.

Covid palac nastaje kao nuspojava kada organizam kreće u napad da se bori protiv virusa.

Istraživači kažu da su precizno odredili koji dijelovi imunološkog sistema su uključeni.

Otkrića, objavljena u British Journal of Dermatology, možda mogu pomoći u liječenju ovih simptoma, piše Michelle Roberts za BBC.

Od covid palca do invalidskih kolica?

Može se dogoditi kod ljudi bilo koje starosne grupe, ali se češće događa kod djece i tinejdžera.

Nekima ovo stanje nije bolno, ali neke osip svrbi, prsti im otiču i pojavljuju se žuljevi.

Sophie, koja ima 13 godina i živi u Škotskoj, jedva je uspijevala hodati i nositi obuću kada je dobila covid palac početkom ove godine.

Tijekom leta, kako je rekla je za BBC, morala je koristiti invalidska kolica u dužim šetnjama.

Ovo stanje utječe na kožu, obično na palčeve, ali nekada i na prste koji pocrvene ili postanu ljubičasti.

Neki ljudi razviju bolne grudice ili im na tom mjestu koža postane jako gruba.

Može se pojaviti i gnoj.

Kod nekih stanje covid palca traje mjesecima, a kod nekih tjednima.

Često nemaju nikakav klasičan covid simptom, poput upornog kašlja, povišene temperature ili gubitka čula mirisa i ukusa.

Najnovije studije, zasnovane na testovima krvi i kože, pokazuju da na to stanje utječu dva dijela imunološkog sistema.

Oba dijela podrazumevaju mehanizme koje tijelo koristi u borbi protiv koronavirusa, piše BBC.

Jedan je antivirusni protein koji se zove interferon tip 1, a drugi je tip antitijela koje greškom napada vlastite ćelije i tkiva, a ne samo invazivni virus.

Cijepi se pa prst u uho

Ćelije oblažu male krvne žile i opskrbljuju zahvaćena područja, kažu istraživači sa sveučilišta u Parizu.

Istraživači su proučavali 50 ljudi za koje se pretpostavljalo da imaju covid prst od 2020. godine i 13 drugih slučajeva koji su imali stanje slično promrzlinama koje nisu povezane s covid infekcijom jer su se dogodile prije početka pandemije.

Nadaju se da će njihova otkrića pomoći pacijentima i liječnicima da bolje razumiju ovo stanje.

Britanski pedijatar dr. Ivan Bristov rekao je da za većinu - poput običnih promrzlina koje se obično vide tijekom hladnih perioda i kod ljudi koji imaju problema sa cirkulacijom - lezije obično nestanu same od sebe.

Ali nekima je potrebno liječenje kremama i drugim lijekovima.

"Potvrda uzroka pomoći će u razvoju novih, efikasnijih tretmana", rekao je on.

Liječnica dr. Veronique Bataille, konzultantkinja dermatologije i glasnogovornica Britanske zaklade za kožu, kaže da se covid palac češće pojavljivao u ranoj fazi pandemije, a rjeđe u valu delta soja.

To bi mogla biti posljedica cijepljenja ili zaštite koja je nastala zbog sve više preležanih slučajeva.

"Poslije cijepljenja ovo stanje se rijetko pojavljuje", dodala je.

Kožni problemi povezani s covidom mogu se pojaviti i biti prisutni prilično dugo poslije akutne infekcije i kod ljudi koji nemaju drugih simptoma, pa se ponekad ne uspostavi veza s virusom, rekla je Bataille.

Znanstvenici vjeruju da mogu objasnutu zašto neki ljudi koji imaju covid razviju stanje koje podsjeća na ozebline na palčevima, ali i na ostalim prstima.

Istraživači kažu da su precizno odredili koji dijelovi imunološkog sistema su uključeni.

Od covid palca do invalidskih kolica?

Može se dogoditi kod ljudi bilo koje starosne grupe, ali se češće događa kod djece i tinejdžera.

Nekima ovo stanje nije bolno, ali neke osip svrbi, prsti im otiču i pojavljuju se žuljevi.

Sophie, koja ima 13 godina i živi u Škotskoj, jedva je uspijevala hodati i nositi obuću kada je dobila covid palac početkom ove godine.

Tijekom leta, kako je rekla je za BBC, morala je koristiti invalidska kolica u dužim šetnjama.

Ovo stanje utječe na kožu, obično na palčeve, ali nekada i na prste koji pocrvene ili postanu ljubičasti.

Neki ljudi razviju bolne grudice ili im na tom mjestu koža postane jako gruba.

Može se pojaviti i gnoj.

Kod nekih stanje covid palca traje mjesecima, a kod nekih tjednima.

Često nemaju nikakav klasičan covid simptom, poput upornog kašlja, povišene temperature ili gubitka čula mirisa i ukusa.

Najnovije studije, zasnovane na testovima krvi i kože, pokazuju da na to stanje utječu dva dijela imunološkog sistema.

Oba dijela podrazumevaju mehanizme koje tijelo koristi u borbi protiv koronavirusa, piše BBC.

Jedan je antivirusni protein koji se zove interferon tip 1, a drugi je tip antitijela koje greškom napada vlastite ćelije i tkiva, a ne samo invazivni virus.

Cijepi se pa prst u uho

Ćelije oblažu male krvne žile i opskrbljuju zahvaćena područja, kažu istraživači sa sveučilišta u Parizu.

Istraživači su proučavali 50 ljudi za koje se pretpostavljalo da imaju covid prst od 2020. godine i 13 drugih slučajeva koji su imali stanje slično promrzlinama koje nisu povezane s covid infekcijom jer su se dogodile prije početka pandemije.

Nadaju se da će njihova otkrića pomoći pacijentima i liječnicima da bolje razumiju ovo stanje.

Britanski pedijatar dr. Ivan Bristov rekao je da za većinu - poput običnih promrzlina koje se obično vide tijekom hladnih perioda i kod ljudi koji imaju problema sa cirkulacijom - lezije obično nestanu same od sebe.

Ali nekima je potrebno liječenje kremama i drugim lijekovima.

"Potvrda uzroka pomoći će u razvoju novih, efikasnijih tretmana", rekao je on.

Liječnica dr. Veronique Bataille, konzultantkinja dermatologije i glasnogovornica Britanske zaklade za kožu, kaže da se covid palac češće pojavljivao u ranoj fazi pandemije, a rjeđe u valu delta soja.

To bi mogla biti posljedica cijepljenja ili zaštite koja je nastala zbog sve više preležanih slučajeva.

"Poslije cijepljenja ovo stanje se rijetko pojavljuje", dodala je.

Kožni problemi povezani s covidom mogu se pojaviti i biti prisutni prilično dugo poslije akutne infekcije i kod ljudi koji nemaju drugih simptoma, pa se ponekad ne uspostavi veza s virusom, rekla je Bataille.
