Veliki toplinski val koji je pogodio Europu, doveo je i do novih temperaturnih rekorda. U Velikoj Britaniji je u utorak po prvi puta u povijesti izmjerena temperatura viša od 40 stupnjeva Celzija. Prema pisanju BBC-a, najvišu temperatura od 40.3 stupnja Celzija zabilježio je Coningsby u Lincolnshireu, dok je na 33 druge lokacije temperatura premašila raniji rekord od 38.7 Celzija kojeg je Velika Britanija zabilježila u 2019. godini.

Ekstremne temperature izazvale su u Velikoj Britaniji niz požara, zatvorile neke škole, izazvale "pucanje" i topljenje asfalta na cestama. Poremećaji su zabilježeni u zračnom te posebno u željezničkom prometu. Londonske zračne luke Luton i Getwick neko su vrijeme bile zatvorene jer je uslijed vrućine došlo do "podizanja" asfalta na pistama, navodi Faktograf.

Toplinski val posebno se odrazio na željeznički promet te su u utorak prekinute željezničke veze iz Londona prema istočnoj i zapadnoj obali. Vlakove su zaustavila oštećenja na željezničkoj infrastrukturi, odnosno savijanje željezničkih tračnica uslijed visokih temperatura, požari uz prugu koji su oštetili željezničku infrastrukturu poput uređaja za signalizaciju, oštećeni su dalekovidi te električni vodovi na prugama. Restrikcije u voznom redu uvođene su i preventivno kako zbog mogućih oštećenja na mreži ne bi došlo do nesreća.

Visoke temperature doista su izazvale savijanje željezničkih tračnica na nekim prugama u Velikoj Britaniji. Naime, jednog čitatelja Faktografa zanimalo je jesu li istinite informacije o tome da je uslijed visokih temperatura došlo do savijanja željezničkih tračnica.

Britanska željeznička mreža s tim se problemom suočila i 2019. kada je u toj zemlji zabilježen raniji temperaturni rekord. I sam Network Rail, vlasnik i upravitelj većine željezničke mreže u Velikoj Britaniji upozorava kako, jednako kao i velike kiše, na željezničku infrastrukturu utječu i visoke temperature.

Željezničke tračnice u Velikoj Britaniji konstruirane za podnošenje temperature od 27 stupnjeva, što je srednja ljetna temperatura željeznica u toj zemlji. U zemljama koje imaju topliju klimu tračnice su konstruirane tako da izdrže više temperature.

"Kada temperatura zraka dosegne 30 stupnjeva, temperatura na tračnicama može biti i do 20 stupnjeva viša", objašnjava Network Rail, navodeći kako je danas više od tri četvrtine kolosijeka na mreži modernizirano te su tračnice položene na betonske pragove.

Međutim, za neke pruge u Velikoj Britaniji temperatura zraka od 30 stupnjeva je daleko veća od temperature za koju je dizajnirana pruga. Naime, problem je u tome što zagrijavanje čeličnih tračnica može uzrokovati njihovo savijanje.

Najvišu temperaturu na tračnicama Network Rail jučer je zabilježio u Suffolku i iznosila je 62 stupnja Celzija.

Godine će trebati za moderniziranje infrastrukture koja bi mogla podnijeti visoke temperature, upozorio je Grant Shapps, državni tajnik za promet Velike Britanije, navodeći kako se uglavnom radi o infrastrukturi iz Viktorijanskog razdoblja koja to ne može izdržati.

"Tamo gdje je 40 stupnjeva u zraku, na zemlji to može biti 50, 60, 70 i više, tako da postoji velika opasnost od savijanja tračnica", upozorio je Shapps. A restrikcije u željezničkom prometu su dijelom provedene kako ne bi došlo do nesreća uslijed promjena na infrastrukturi uzrokovanih visokim temperaturama, poput iskakanja vlakova.

"Jednostavan odgovor u ovom trenutku je – ne", kazao je Shapps na upit može li se prometni sustav u Velikoj Britaniji nositi s ekstremnim vremenskim uvjetima.

Željeznički promet u Velikoj Britaniji nije u potpunosti normaliziran ni u srijedu, dan nakon velikog toplinskog vala koji se odrazio na promet na većini željezničkih relacija. Iako je opasnost od ekstremne vrućine prošla, poremećaji u prometu su prisutni zbog brojnih oštećenja na mreži, zaključuje Faktograf.

Veliki toplinski val koji je pogodio Europu, doveo je i do novih temperaturnih rekorda. U Velikoj Britaniji je u utorak po prvi puta u povijesti izmjerena temperatura viša od 40 stupnjeva Celzija. Prema pisanju BBC-a, najvišu temperatura od 40.3 stupnja Celzija zabilježio je Coningsby u Lincolnshireu, dok je na 33 druge lokacije temperatura premašila raniji rekord od 38.7 Celzija kojeg je Velika Britanija zabilježila u 2019. godini.

Ekstremne temperature izazvale su u Velikoj Britaniji niz požara, zatvorile neke škole, izazvale "pucanje" i topljenje asfalta na cestama. Poremećaji su zabilježeni u zračnom te posebno u željezničkom prometu. Londonske zračne luke Luton i Getwick neko su vrijeme bile zatvorene jer je uslijed vrućine došlo do "podizanja" asfalta na pistama, navodi Faktograf.

Toplinski val posebno se odrazio na željeznički promet te su u utorak prekinute željezničke veze iz Londona prema istočnoj i zapadnoj obali. Vlakove su zaustavila oštećenja na željezničkoj infrastrukturi, odnosno savijanje željezničkih tračnica uslijed visokih temperatura, požari uz prugu koji su oštetili željezničku infrastrukturu poput uređaja za signalizaciju, oštećeni su dalekovidi te električni vodovi na prugama. Restrikcije u voznom redu uvođene su i preventivno kako zbog mogućih oštećenja na mreži ne bi došlo do nesreća.

Visoke temperature doista su izazvale savijanje željezničkih tračnica na nekim prugama u Velikoj Britaniji. Naime, jednog čitatelja Faktografa zanimalo je jesu li istinite informacije o tome da je uslijed visokih temperatura došlo do savijanja željezničkih tračnica.

Britanska željeznička mreža s tim se problemom suočila i 2019. kada je u toj zemlji zabilježen raniji temperaturni rekord. I sam Network Rail, vlasnik i upravitelj većine željezničke mreže u Velikoj Britaniji upozorava kako, jednako kao i velike kiše, na željezničku infrastrukturu utječu i visoke temperature.

Željezničke tračnice u Velikoj Britaniji konstruirane za podnošenje temperature od 27 stupnjeva, što je srednja ljetna temperatura željeznica u toj zemlji. U zemljama koje imaju topliju klimu tračnice su konstruirane tako da izdrže više temperature.

"Kada temperatura zraka dosegne 30 stupnjeva, temperatura na tračnicama može biti i do 20 stupnjeva viša", objašnjava Network Rail, navodeći kako je danas više od tri četvrtine kolosijeka na mreži modernizirano te su tračnice položene na betonske pragove.

Međutim, za neke pruge u Velikoj Britaniji temperatura zraka od 30 stupnjeva je daleko veća od temperature za koju je dizajnirana pruga. Naime, problem je u tome što zagrijavanje čeličnih tračnica može uzrokovati njihovo savijanje.

Najvišu temperaturu na tračnicama Network Rail jučer je zabilježio u Suffolku i iznosila je 62 stupnja Celzija.

Godine će trebati za moderniziranje infrastrukture koja bi mogla podnijeti visoke temperature, upozorio je Grant Shapps, državni tajnik za promet Velike Britanije, navodeći kako se uglavnom radi o infrastrukturi iz Viktorijanskog razdoblja koja to ne može izdržati.

"Tamo gdje je 40 stupnjeva u zraku, na zemlji to može biti 50, 60, 70 i više, tako da postoji velika opasnost od savijanja tračnica", upozorio je Shapps. A restrikcije u željezničkom prometu su dijelom provedene kako ne bi došlo do nesreća uslijed promjena na infrastrukturi uzrokovanih visokim temperaturama, poput iskakanja vlakova.

"Jednostavan odgovor u ovom trenutku je – ne", kazao je Shapps na upit može li se prometni sustav u Velikoj Britaniji nositi s ekstremnim vremenskim uvjetima.

Željeznički promet u Velikoj Britaniji nije u potpunosti normaliziran ni u srijedu, dan nakon velikog toplinskog vala koji se odrazio na promet na većini željezničkih relacija. Iako je opasnost od ekstremne vrućine prošla, poremećaji u prometu su prisutni zbog brojnih oštećenja na mreži, zaključuje Faktograf.

Veliki toplinski val koji je pogodio Europu, doveo je i do novih temperaturnih rekorda. U Velikoj Britaniji je u utorak po prvi puta u povijesti izmjerena temperatura viša od 40 stupnjeva Celzija. Prema pisanju BBC-a, najvišu temperatura od 40.3 stupnja Celzija zabilježio je Coningsby u Lincolnshireu, dok je na 33 druge lokacije temperatura premašila raniji rekord od 38.7 Celzija kojeg je Velika Britanija zabilježila u 2019. godini.

Ekstremne temperature izazvale su u Velikoj Britaniji niz požara, zatvorile neke škole, izazvale "pucanje" i topljenje asfalta na cestama. Poremećaji su zabilježeni u zračnom te posebno u željezničkom prometu.
