Hrvatski zastupnik u Europskom parlamentu Tonino Picula sastao se danas s povjerenikom Europske komisije za poljoprivredu Januszom Wojciechowskim, nastavno na pismo koje je hrvatski eurozastupnik uputio prošli tjedan povjereniku, vezanom uz neutemeljene talijanske pokušaje opstrukcije zaštite imena Prošek.

Zastupnik Picula zahvalio je povjereniku na promptnoj reakciji i pozivu na sastanak, a povjerenik Wojciechowski je kao bivši zastupnik u EP-u naglasio važnost suradnje Europskog parlamenta i Komisije.

U razgovoru je zastupnik Picula istaknuo kako dolazi iz Dalmacije, gdje se tradicionalno proizvodi Prošek, te je objasnio mnogobrojne i jasne razlike između Prošeka i Prosecca. Zastupnik je naglasio da je cijeli postupak talijanske opstrukcije motiviran financijskim interesima talijanskih proizvođača, odnosno ekspanzijom na tržištu i zaštitom od potencijalnih gubitaka, iako Prošek i Prosecco nisu i ne mogu biti izravni tržišni konkurenti. Pitanje zaštite Prošeka ujedno je i pitanje odnosa prema proizvođačima u malim i srednje velikim članicama EU.

Također, zastupnik je obrazložio kako Prošek kao proizvod nije nov, već da ima snažno povijesno uporište te tradiciju proizvodnje čak i dulju od Prosecca. Obavijestio je povjerenika da su hrvatski proizvođači već izrazili spremnost na kompromis, u vidu dodavanja geografske odrednice - dalmatinski. Picula je spomenuo i već postojeće primjere pršutâ, gdje su geografskom odrednicom napravljene jasne diferencijacije u odnosu na talijanske proizvode sličnog naziva.

Povjerenik Wojciechowski je potom izvijestio zastupnika da su Europska komisija i DG AGRI-upoznati s novom hrvatskom inicijativom te svjesni prvobitnog zahtjeva Hrvatske po ulasku u EU 2013. za zaštitom tradicionalnog naziva Prošek.

Komisija je u prošlosti taj zahtjev odgodila zbog izmjene pravne procedure i delegiranog akta za tradicionalne nazive, ali sada nastavlja taj proces. Službena objava Komisije se očekuje u narednim mjesecima, na što postoji mogućnost prava žalbe, te će se potom Komisija završno očitovati o procesu priznavanja imena Prošek.

Hrvatski zastupnik u Europskom parlamentu Tonino Picula sastao se danas s povjerenikom Europske komisije za poljoprivredu Januszom Wojciechowskim, nastavno na pismo koje je hrvatski eurozastupnik uputio prošli tjedan povjereniku, vezanom uz neutemeljene talijanske pokušaje opstrukcije zaštite imena Prošek.

Zastupnik Picula zahvalio je povjereniku na promptnoj reakciji i pozivu na sastanak, a povjerenik Wojciechowski je kao bivši zastupnik u EP-u naglasio važnost suradnje Europskog parlamenta i Komisije.

U razgovoru je zastupnik Picula istaknuo kako dolazi iz Dalmacije, gdje se tradicionalno proizvodi Prošek, te je objasnio mnogobrojne i jasne razlike između Prošeka i Prosecca. Zastupnik je naglasio da je cijeli postupak talijanske opstrukcije motiviran financijskim interesima talijanskih proizvođača, odnosno ekspanzijom na tržištu i zaštitom od potencijalnih gubitaka, iako Prošek i Prosecco nisu i ne mogu biti izravni tržišni konkurenti. Pitanje zaštite Prošeka ujedno je i pitanje odnosa prema proizvođačima u malim i srednje velikim članicama EU.

Također, zastupnik je obrazložio kako Prošek kao proizvod nije nov, već da ima snažno povijesno uporište te tradiciju proizvodnje čak i dulju od Prosecca. Obavijestio je povjerenika da su hrvatski proizvođači već izrazili spremnost na kompromis, u vidu dodavanja geografske odrednice - dalmatinski. Picula je spomenuo i već postojeće primjere pršutâ, gdje su geografskom odrednicom napravljene jasne diferencijacije u odnosu na talijanske proizvode sličnog naziva.

Povjerenik Wojciechowski je potom izvijestio zastupnika da su Europska komisija i DG AGRI-upoznati s novom hrvatskom inicijativom te svjesni prvobitnog zahtjeva Hrvatske po ulasku u EU 2013. za zaštitom tradicionalnog naziva Prošek.

Komisija je u prošlosti taj zahtjev odgodila zbog izmjene pravne procedure i delegiranog akta za tradicionalne nazive, ali sada nastavlja taj proces. Službena objava Komisije se očekuje u narednim mjesecima, na što postoji mogućnost prava žalbe, te će se potom Komisija završno očitovati o procesu priznavanja imena Prošek.

Hrvatski zastupnik u Europskom parlamentu Tonino Picula sastao se danas s povjerenikom Europske komisije za poljoprivredu Januszom Wojciechowskim, nastavno na pismo koje je hrvatski eurozastupnik uputio prošli tjedan povjereniku, vezanom uz neutemeljene talijanske pokušaje opstrukcije zaštite imena Prošek.

Zastupnik Picula zahvalio je povjereniku na promptnoj reakciji i pozivu na sastanak, a povjerenik Wojciechowski je kao bivši zastupnik u EP-u naglasio važnost suradnje Europskog parlamenta i Komisije.

U razgovoru je zastupnik Picula istaknuo kako dolazi iz Dalmacije, gdje se tradicionalno proizvodi Prošek, te je objasnio mnogobrojne i jasne razlike između Prošeka i Prosecca. Zastupnik je naglasio da je cijeli postupak talijanske opstrukcije motiviran financijskim...
