Asteroid, dug oko jedan kilometar koji svemirom juri brzinom većom od 50 tisuća kilometara na sat, a zbog kojeg je američka svemirska agencija NASA, prije tri dana podigla uzbunu, upravo je proletio pokraj našeg planeta, Zemlje na udaljenosti od 2,2 milijarde kilometara.To je 15 puta veća udaljenost od Zemlje do Mjeseca.

Slučajnost je da je upravo na današnji dan prije sedam godina  jedan  asteroid ušao u Zemljinu atmosferu iznad Rusije te eksplodirao u zraku energijom i do 30 puta većom od ekslpozije prve atomske bombe koja je  obasjala grad Čeljabinsk svjetlom jačim od sunčeva. Ekslpozija asteorida oštetila je više od 7000 zgrada te ozlijedila više od 1000 ljudi.

A asteorid PZ 39, otkriven je prije 18 godina, 2002. godine od kada se prati njegovo kretanje, a kako je bilo najavljeno danas u 11, 05 sati proletio je uz samu Zemlju. Našem planetu ponovo bi se trebao približiti već u kolovozu.

Procjene govore da bi njegov udar u Zemlju bio potencijalno katastrofalan, jer bi stijena ove veličine mogla u trenutku udara poubijati milijune ljudi u široj regiji, te izazvati tragediju i na globalnoj razini.

Naime, NASINI proračuni govore da bi objekt veličine između 25 metara i 1 kilometra pogodio Zemlju, vjerojatno bi prouzročio samo lokalnu štetu na području udara. Svako veće nebesko tijelo, obujma od jednog do dva kilometra, moglo bi, međutim, imati i globalne efekte - navodi NASA.

Asteroid, dug oko jedan kilometar koji svemirom juri brzinom većom od 50 tisuća kilometara na sat, a zbog kojeg je američka svemirska agencija NASA, prije tri dana podigla uzbunu, upravo je proletio pokraj našeg planeta, Zemlje na udaljenosti od 2,2 milijarde kilometara.To je 15 puta veća udaljenost od Zemlje do Mjeseca.

Slučajnost je da je upravo na današnji dan prije sedam godina  jedan  asteroid ušao u Zemljinu atmosferu iznad Rusije te eksplodirao u zraku energijom i do 30 puta većom od ekslpozije prve atomske bombe koja je  obasjala grad Čeljabinsk svjetlom jačim od sunčeva. Ekslpozija asteorida oštetila je više od 7000 zgrada te ozlijedila više od 1000 ljudi.

A asteorid PZ 39, otkriven je prije 18 godina, 2002. godine od kada se prati njegovo kretanje, a kako je bilo najavljeno danas u 11, 05 sati proletio je uz samu Zemlju. Našem planetu ponovo bi se trebao približiti već u kolovozu.

Procjene govore da bi njegov udar u Zemlju bio potencijalno katastrofalan, jer bi stijena ove veličine mogla u trenutku udara poubijati milijune ljudi u široj regiji, te izazvati tragediju i na globalnoj razini.

Naime, NASINI proračuni govore da bi objekt veličine između 25 metara i 1 kilometra pogodio Zemlju, vjerojatno bi prouzročio samo lokalnu štetu na području udara. Svako veće nebesko tijelo, obujma od jednog do dva kilometra, moglo bi, međutim, imati i globalne efekte - navodi NASA.
