Prizori koje smo dosad viđali samo u zemljama Trećeg svijeta upravo se odvijaju u samom srcu vodeće svjetske demokracije - bijesna rulja ruši barikade, upada u zgradu Kongresa i pretražuje dvorane u potrazi za zastupnicima i senatorima, koje pripadnici snaga sigurnosti za to vrijeme pokušavaju evakuirati na sigurno mjesto.
Nije Centralnoafrička Republika, nego Sjedinjene Američke Države. Nije Bangui, nego Washington.

Iako je na Capitol Hillu ove srijede bilo mobilizirano 3750 policajaca i više od 300 pripadnika Nacionalne garde, tisuće Trumpovih pristaša koji su se okupili u Washingtonu uspjeli su probiti policijske barikade i ući u zgradu Kongresa, nakon čega je sjednica oba kongresna doma – na kojoj je nakon prebrojavanja elektorskih glasova trebao biti i službeno potvrđen izbor Joea Bidena za novog predsjednika SAD-a – odmah prekinuta.
To je i bio cilj prosvjednika. U tom smislu, prosvjed Trumpovih pristaša je uspio. Stradala je američka demokracija.
Ono što se dugo potiho kuhalo tako je došlo do točke vrenja. Aktualni američki predsjednik Donald Trump tjednima je „pumpao” i podgrijavao atmosferu, uvjeravajući svoje glasače da su izbori od 3. studenoga prošle godine „pokradeni”, odnosno da je stvarni izborni pobjednik zapravo on, a ne Biden.

Scene kaosa u Washingtonu još traju, a nešto iza 22 sata po našem vremenu iz Bijele kuće su objavili kako je Nacionalna garda „na putu” te bi uskoro trebala biti pred Kongresom. Malo potom oglasio se i Biden, pozvavši Trumpa da se obrati američkom narodu i pozove prosvjednike da napuste zgradu Kongresa, koja se, kako je rekao, nalazi „pod opsadom”.
Nakon toga Trump je putem video poruke doista pozvao prosvjednike da „odu kući”, ali je istodobno više puta ponovio kako su izbori „pokradeni”, čime je zapravo osigurao da se rušilački bijes njegovih pristaša ne ugasi. Naprotiv, takvom „šifriranom porukom” zapravo im je poručio da i u narednim danima budu spremni za slične akcije poput ove.

Ovo vjerojatno nije kraj priče o destrukciji američke demokracije. Ukoliko situacija dodatno eskalira, Trump bi mogao proglasiti izvanredno stanje i pozvati vojsku na ulice glavnoga grada, što bi se moglo protumačiti i kao neka vrsta njegovog puča.
Mnogi drže da je američki predsjednik na odlasku sve ovo unaprijed isplanirao upravo kako bi mogao aktivirati vojsku (i tako spriječiti elektorsku potvrdu Joea Bidena za novog predsjednika SAD-a), te da je upravo iz tog razloga nakon nedavnih izbora smijenio ministra obrane Marka Espera i na tu funkciju postavio sebi lojalnijeg Christophera C. Millera.
Kako bi pokušali spriječiti takav scenarij, čak deset ranijih američkih ministara obrane (uključujući i spomenutog, nedavno smijenjenog Espera) objavilo je u nedjelju 3. siječnja u listu The Washington Post zajedničko pismo, u kojem upozoravaju na mogućnost da bi Trump mogao proglasiti izvanredno stanje u zemlji s ciljem nasilnog zadržavanja vlasti i sprečavanja tranzicije.

Konkretno, bivši ministri obrane u tom tekstu upozorili su svog aktualnog kolegu, rečenog Christophera C. Millera, da mu „ne pada na pamet” slijediti Trumpa u slučaju da se ovaj odluči za neki radikalan potez. Čini se, međutim, da se u Washingtonu trenutno odvija upravo taj scenarij na koji su bivši ministri obrane svojim pismom htjeli upozoriti.
Neki stručnjaci ističu da Trump „u rezervi” ima još jednu soluciju koja bi mu mogla omogućiti proglašavanje izvanrednog stanja – čime bi mogao odgoditi prijenos vlasti na Bidena – a to je „iznenadno izbijanje” takozvane „vanjske krize”. Naravno, tu se misli na mogući vojni sukob s Iranom, budući da odnos između Washingtona i Teherana ionako već dugo lavira na ivici ozbiljnijeg sukoba.
Kako bilo, tranzicija vlasti u Americi, koja je ove srijede trebala biti službeno potvrđena, još uvijek je neizvjesna. Izgleda da trumpizam još nije rekao svoju posljednju riječ. Što bi rekao naš Stožer: iduća dva tjedna su ključna.

Iako je na Capitol Hillu ove srijede bilo mobilizirano 3750 policajaca i više od 300 pripadnika Nacionalne garde, tisuće Trumpovih pristaša koji su se okupili u Washingtonu uspjeli su probiti policijske barikade i ući u zgradu Kongresa, nakon čega je sjednica oba kongresna doma – na kojoj je nakon prebrojavanja elektorskih glasova trebao biti i službeno potvrđen izbor Joea Bidena za novog predsjednika SAD-a – odmah prekinuta.
To je i bio cilj prosvjednika. U tom smislu, prosvjed Trumpovih pristaša je uspio. Stradala je američka demokracija.
Ono što se dugo potiho kuhalo tako je došlo do točke vrenja. Aktualni američki predsjednik Donald Trump tjednima je „pumpao” i podgrijavao atmosferu, uvjeravajući svoje glasače da su izbori od 3. studenoga prošle godine „pokradeni”, odnosno da je stvarni izborni pobjednik zapravo on, a ne Biden.

Scene kaosa u Washingtonu još traju, a nešto iza 22 sata po našem vremenu iz Bijele kuće su objavili kako je Nacionalna garda „na putu” te bi uskoro trebala biti pred Kongresom. Malo potom oglasio se i Biden, pozvavši Trumpa da se obrati američkom narodu i pozove prosvjednike da napuste zgradu Kongresa, koja se, kako je rekao, nalazi „pod opsadom”.
Nakon toga Trump je putem video poruke doista pozvao prosvjednike da „odu kući”, ali je istodobno više puta ponovio kako su izbori „pokradeni”, čime je zapravo osigurao da se rušilački bijes njegovih pristaša ne ugasi. Naprotiv, takvom „šifriranom porukom” zapravo im je poručio da i u narednim danima budu spremni za slične akcije poput ove.

Ovo vjerojatno nije kraj priče o destrukciji američke demokracije. Ukoliko situacija dodatno eskalira, Trump bi mogao proglasiti izvanredno stanje i pozvati vojsku na ulice glavnoga grada, što bi se moglo protumačiti i kao neka vrsta njegovog puča.
Mnogi drže da je američki predsjednik na odlasku sve ovo unaprijed isplanirao upravo kako bi mogao aktivirati vojsku (i tako spriječiti elektorsku potvrdu Joea Bidena za novog predsjednika SAD-a), te da je upravo iz tog razloga nakon nedavnih izbora smijenio ministra obrane Marka Espera i na tu funkciju postavio sebi lojalnijeg Christophera C. Millera.
Kako bi pokušali spriječiti takav scenarij, čak deset ranijih američkih ministara obrane (uključujući i spomenutog, nedavno smijenjenog Espera) objavilo je u nedjelju 3. siječnja u listu The Washington Post zajedničko pismo, u kojem upozoravaju na mogućnost da bi Trump mogao proglasiti izvanredno stanje u zemlji s ciljem nasilnog zadržavanja vlasti i sprečavanja tranzicije.

Konkretno, bivši ministri obrane u tom tekstu upozorili su svog aktualnog kolegu, rečenog Christophera C. Millera, da mu „ne pada na pamet” slijediti Trumpa u slučaju da se ovaj odluči za neki radikalan potez. Čini se, međutim, da se u Washingtonu trenutno odvija upravo taj scenarij na koji su bivši ministri obrane svojim pismom htjeli upozoriti.
Neki stručnjaci ističu da Trump „u rezervi” ima još jednu soluciju koja bi mu mogla omogućiti proglašavanje izvanrednog stanja – čime bi mogao odgoditi prijenos vlasti na Bidena – a to je „iznenadno izbijanje” takozvane „vanjske krize”. Naravno, tu se misli na mogući vojni sukob s Iranom, budući da odnos između Washingtona i Teherana ionako već dugo lavira na ivici ozbiljnijeg sukoba.
Kako bilo, tranzicija vlasti u Americi, koja je ove srijede trebala biti službeno potvrđena, još uvijek je neizvjesna. Izgleda da trumpizam još nije rekao svoju posljednju riječ. Što bi rekao naš Stožer: iduća dva tjedna su ključna.
