Stotine ljudi pristižu u ponedjeljak u Srebrenicu od ranih jutarnjih sati kako bi tamo sudjelovali u obilježavanju obljetnice genocida što su ga 1995. godine nad Bošnjacima s tog područja počinili pripadnici vojske i policije bosanskih Srba.

Organizatori očekuju kako će na komemoraciji a potom i na pokopu 50 žrtava srebreničkog genocida biti više tisuća sudionika, uklučujući njih više od dvije tisuće koji su u Srebrenicu stigli u nedjelju nakon što u prethodnim danima pješačili stotinu kilometara stazama kojima su Srebreničani 1995. godine pokušali naći spas bijegom na teritorij pod kontolom Armije BiH.

Nakon komemoracije uslijedit će vjerski obred kojega će predvoditi poglavar Islamske zajednice u BiH Husein Kavazović te pokop žrtava.

U povodu obljetnice srebreničkog genocida uz brojne međunarodne dužnosnike oglasio se u ponedjeljak predsjednik Europskog vijeća Charles Michel.

U objavi na Twitteru uz fotografiju spomenika na kojemu su ispisana imena srebreničkih žrtava naveo je kako su zbivanja u srpnju 1995. godine predstavljala jedan od najmračnijih trenutaka u modernoj europskoj povijesti.

"Ova tragična obljetnica je i podsjetnik: moramo nastaviti raditi zajedno za mir u Europi i da BiH postane dio EU", napisao je Michel.

Američki veleposlanik u BiH Michael Murphy u posebnoj je poruci objavljenoj uoči komemoracije kazao kako se činjenice o počinjenim zločinima moraju prihvatiti i poštovati jer su ih potvrdili Haški tribunal (ICTY) i Međunarodni sud pravde (ICJ).

"Dužnosnici u BiH na svim razinama imaju institucionalnu odgovornost da prihvate što se dogodilo u Srebrenici prije 27 godina kao i stalnu obavezu da se time bave kroz poučavanje budućih generacija istini, iskazivanja poštovanja prema žrtvama, potporu preživjelima, uključujući potragu za nestalima te osiguranje pravde istraživanjem i procesuiranjem počinitelja", kazao je Murphy smjerajući na sve agresivnije istupe iz Republike Srpske kojima se pokušava osporiti počinjenje genocida.

Političarima u BiH poručio je kako su odavno morali prestati koristiti zapaljivu nacionalističku retoriku te širiti propagandu kroz lažne narative o prošlosti i produbljivanje etničkih podjela.

Stotine ljudi pristižu u ponedjeljak u Srebrenicu od ranih jutarnjih sati kako bi tamo sudjelovali u obilježavanju obljetnice genocida što su ga 1995. godine nad Bošnjacima s tog područja počinili pripadnici vojske i policije bosanskih Srba.

Organizatori očekuju kako će na komemoraciji a potom i na pokopu 50 žrtava srebreničkog genocida biti više tisuća sudionika, uklučujući njih više od dvije tisuće koji su u Srebrenicu stigli u nedjelju nakon što u prethodnim danima pješačili stotinu kilometara stazama kojima su Srebreničani 1995. godine pokušali naći spas bijegom na teritorij pod kontolom Armije BiH.

Nakon komemoracije uslijedit će vjerski obred kojega će predvoditi poglavar Islamske zajednice u BiH Husein Kavazović te pokop žrtava.

U povodu obljetnice srebreničkog genocida uz brojne međunarodne dužnosnike oglasio se u ponedjeljak predsjednik Europskog vijeća Charles Michel.

U objavi na Twitteru uz fotografiju spomenika na kojemu su ispisana imena srebreničkih žrtava naveo je kako su zbivanja u srpnju 1995. godine predstavljala jedan od najmračnijih trenutaka u modernoj europskoj povijesti.

"Ova tragična obljetnica je i podsjetnik: moramo nastaviti raditi zajedno za mir u Europi i da BiH postane dio EU", napisao je Michel.

Američki veleposlanik u BiH Michael Murphy u posebnoj je poruci objavljenoj uoči komemoracije kazao kako se činjenice o počinjenim zločinima moraju prihvatiti i poštovati jer su ih potvrdili Haški tribunal (ICTY) i Međunarodni sud pravde (ICJ).

"Dužnosnici u BiH na svim razinama imaju institucionalnu odgovornost da prihvate što se dogodilo u Srebrenici prije 27 godina kao i stalnu obavezu da se time bave kroz poučavanje budućih generacija istini, iskazivanja poštovanja prema žrtvama, potporu preživjelima, uključujući potragu za nestalima te osiguranje pravde istraživanjem i procesuiranjem počinitelja", kazao je Murphy smjerajući na sve agresivnije istupe iz Republike Srpske kojima se pokušava osporiti počinjenje genocida.

Političarima u BiH poručio je kako su odavno morali prestati koristiti zapaljivu nacionalističku retoriku te širiti propagandu kroz lažne narative o prošlosti i produbljivanje etničkih podjela.

Obljetnica genocida u Srebrenici: na komemoraciji se očekuje nekoliko tisuća sudionika. Mnogi su propješačili i stotinu kilometara stazama kojima su Srebreničani 1995. pokušali pobjeći na teritorij Armije BiH

Stotine ljudi pristižu u ponedjeljak u Srebrenicu od ranih jutarnjih sati kako bi tamo sudjelovali u obilježavanju obljetnice genocida što su ga 1995. godine nad Bošnjacima s tog područja počinili pripadnici vojske i policije bosanskih Srba.

Organizatori očekuju kako će na komemoraciji a potom i na pokopu 50 žrtava srebreničkog genocida biti više tisuća sudionika, uklučujući njih više od dvije tisuće koji su u Srebrenicu stigli u nedjelju nakon što u prethodnim danima pješačili stotinu kilometara stazama kojima su Srebreničani 1995. godine pokušali naći spas bijegom na teritorij pod kontolom Armije BiH.

Nakon komemoracije uslijedit će vjerski obred kojega će predvoditi poglavar Islamske zajednice u BiH Husein Kavazović te pokop žrtava.
