Njemačka vlada ozbiljno planira raspoređivanje trupa u sklopu mirovne misije Europske unije u Bosni po prvi put u posljednjih deset godina jer se povećava zabrinutost zbog nestabilnosti iz ukrajinskog rata koja se prelijeva na zapadni Balkan. Glasnogovornik vlade Steffen Seibert rekao je novinarima na tiskovnoj konferenciji u Berlinu u srijedu da je vlada odlučila poslati vojnike u EUFOR-Altheu, nasljednicu NATO-ovih SFOR-a i IFOR-a, koji je aktivan od 2004. godine. 50-ak vojnika će biti tamo poslano na godinu dana, što će označiti povratak u snaga koje su Bosnu napustile krajem 2012. godine.

Dio vojnika trebao bi popuniti dva takozvana tima za vezu i promatranje, grupe koje su raspoređene u zemlji i koje funkcioniraju kao senzori za zapovjedništvo EUFOR-a, dok će drugi raditi u sjedištu u Sarajevu. Odluku Vijeća ministara treba odobriti Bundestag, a Seibert je rekao da će njemački vojnici nakon odobrenja u parlamentu služiti do kraja sljedećeg lipnja, s tim da se to razdoblje se može i produžiti, prenosi Al Jazeera. 

Njemačko ministarstvo obrane također je priopćilo kako je savezna vlada odlučila nastaviti sudjelovanje u operaciji EU-a u Bosni i Hercegovini u EUFOR-Althea. “Stabilna regija Zapadnog Balkana za nas je od velike važnosti. Očekuje se da će se prve konzultacije u Bundestagu održati 24. lipnja”, stoji na Twitteru.

Iako se BiH nalazi stotinama kilometara od borbi u Ukrajini, federacija se suočava sa sve snažnijim separatističkim pokretom bosanskih Srba za koji analitičari kažu da ima barem prešutnu podršku Moskve. Samo nekoliko dana nakon ruske invazije na Ukrajinu, EU je odlučio gotovo udvostručiti veličinu svojih mirovnih snaga EUFOR-a sa 600 na 1100 vojnika slanjem pričuva kako bi spriječio potencijalnu nestabilnost. Budući da je čelnik bosanskih Srba Milorad Dodik sve glasniji o svojim ciljevima odcijepljenja, visoki predstavnik EU za vanjsku politiku i sigurnost Josep Borrell nazvao je ovaj potez "mjerom predostrožnosti".

NATO i visoki dužnosnici EU upozorili su da bi se nestabilnost zbog rata u Ukrajini mogla proširiti na zapadni Balkan. “Tako Njemačka odgovara na napetu situaciju u Bosni i Hercegovini”, objavilo je njemačko vanjsko predstavništvo na Twitteru u srijedu. “Također, a s obzirom na izbore u listopadu, zajedno s našim europskim i NATO partnerima nećemo dopustiti sigurnosni vakuum u našem neposrednom susjedstvu.”

No, Toby Vogel, viši suradnik u Vijeću za politiku demokratizacije, istaknuo je da je Bosna već imala sigurnosni vakuum “najmanje od 2011., kada je EU dopustila da EUFOR padne ispod operativne minimalne snage”.

Trenutni mandat EUFOR-a istječe u studenom, a na Vijeću sigurnosti Ujedinjenih naroda je da odluči o produljenju za još jednu godinu. No, raste zabrinutost da bi Moskva mogla upotrijebiti svoj veto kako bi osujetila ovaj sporazum.

Njemačka vlada ozbiljno planira raspoređivanje trupa u sklopu mirovne misije Europske unije u Bosni po prvi put u posljednjih deset godina jer se povećava zabrinutost zbog nestabilnosti iz ukrajinskog rata koja se prelijeva na zapadni Balkan. Glasnogovornik vlade Steffen Seibert rekao je novinarima na tiskovnoj konferenciji u Berlinu u srijedu da je vlada odlučila poslati vojnike u EUFOR-Altheu, nasljednicu NATO-ovih SFOR-a i IFOR-a, koji je aktivan od 2004. godine. 50-ak vojnika će biti tamo poslano na godinu dana, što će označiti povratak u snaga koje su Bosnu napustile krajem 2012. godine.

Dio vojnika trebao bi popuniti dva takozvana tima za vezu i promatranje, grupe koje su raspoređene u zemlji i koje funkcioniraju kao senzori za zapovjedništvo EUFOR-a, dok će drugi raditi u sjedištu u Sarajevu. Odluku Vijeća ministara treba odobriti Bundestag, a Seibert je rekao da će njemački vojnici nakon odobrenja u parlamentu služiti do kraja sljedećeg lipnja, s tim da se to razdoblje se može i produžiti, prenosi Al Jazeera. 

Njemačko ministarstvo obrane također je priopćilo kako je savezna vlada odlučila nastaviti sudjelovanje u operaciji EU-a u Bosni i Hercegovini u EUFOR-Althea. “Stabilna regija Zapadnog Balkana za nas je od velike važnosti. Očekuje se da će se prve konzultacije u Bundestagu održati 24. lipnja”, stoji na Twitteru.

Iako se BiH nalazi stotinama kilometara od borbi u Ukrajini, federacija se suočava sa sve snažnijim separatističkim pokretom bosanskih Srba za koji analitičari kažu da ima barem prešutnu podršku Moskve. Samo nekoliko dana nakon ruske invazije na Ukrajinu, EU je odlučio gotovo udvostručiti veličinu svojih mirovnih snaga EUFOR-a sa 600 na 1100 vojnika slanjem pričuva kako bi spriječio potencijalnu nestabilnost. Budući da je čelnik bosanskih Srba Milorad Dodik sve glasniji o svojim ciljevima odcijepljenja, visoki predstavnik EU za vanjsku politiku i sigurnost Josep Borrell nazvao je ovaj potez "mjerom predostrožnosti".

NATO i visoki dužnosnici EU upozorili su da bi se nestabilnost zbog rata u Ukrajini mogla proširiti na zapadni Balkan. “Tako Njemačka odgovara na napetu situaciju u Bosni i Hercegovini”, objavilo je njemačko vanjsko predstavništvo na Twitteru u srijedu. “Također, a s obzirom na izbore u listopadu, zajedno s našim europskim i NATO partnerima nećemo dopustiti sigurnosni vakuum u našem neposrednom susjedstvu.”

No, Toby Vogel, viši suradnik u Vijeću za politiku demokratizacije, istaknuo je da je Bosna već imala sigurnosni vakuum “najmanje od 2011., kada je EU dopustila da EUFOR padne ispod operativne minimalne snage”.

Trenutni mandat EUFOR-a istječe u studenom, a na Vijeću sigurnosti Ujedinjenih naroda je da odluči o produljenju za još jednu godinu. No, raste zabrinutost da bi Moskva mogla upotrijebiti svoj veto kako bi osujetila ovaj sporazum.

Njemačka vlada ozbiljno planira raspoređivanje trupa u sklopu mirovne misije Europske unije u Bosni po prvi put u posljednjih deset godina jer se povećava zabrinutost zbog nestabilnosti iz ukrajinskog rata koja se prelijeva na zapadni Balkan. Glasnogovornik vlade Steffen Seibert rekao je novinarima na tiskovnoj konferenciji u Berlinu u srijedu da je vlada odlučila poslati vojnike u EUFOR-Altheu, nasljednicu NATO-ovih SFOR-a i IFOR-a, koji je aktivan od 2004. godine. 50-ak vojnika će biti tamo poslano na godinu dana, što će označiti povratak u snaga koje su Bosnu napustile krajem 2012. godine.
