U Hrvatskoj je za sada potvrđeno 10 slučajeva majmunskih boginja, a riječ je o muškim pacijentima u dobi između 30 i 50 godina, potvrdila je u nedjelju epidemiologinja Goranka Petrović koja očekuje da će u idućim tjednima stići prve doze cjepiva protiv te virusne bolesti.
Za sada se zna da su dvojica zaražena u inozemstvu, a za ostale se još prikupljaju podaci.
Svaka država Europske unije donijet će svoj plan cijepljenja protiv majmunskih boginja, a prve doze u Hrvatsku mogle bi doći kroz nekoliko tjedana premda nije određen konkretan datum, rekla je za Hinu epidemiologinja iz Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo (HZJZ) Goranka Petrović.
Europska je komisija poduzela zajedničku nabavu cjepiva, a nekolicina je zemalja, poput Njemačke i Španjolske već primilo prve doze cjepiva protiv majmunskih boginje, koje su ove godine zabilježene u brojnim zemljama diljem europskog kontinenta.
''Podjela cjepiva prema državama izvršit će se proporcionalno prema broju stanovnika i prema tome u kojoj je mjeri epidemija pogodila određenu državu. U narednim tjednima očekuje se da cjepivo stigne i u Hrvatsku'', izjavila je voditeljica Odjela za respiratorne bolesti u HZJZ-u Goranka Petrović.
Majmunske boginje nisu klasična spolno prenosiva bolest, napomenula je Petrović. Još mnogo toga valja istražiti kada je riječ o ovoj bolesti, no poznato je to da se mogu prenijeti bliskim fizičkim kontaktom.
''U Hrvatskoj planiramo cijepiti one osobe koje su bile u bliskom kontaktu sa zaraženim osobama, unutar 4 do 14 dana od izloženosti zarazi'', rekla je epidemiologinja HZJZ-a.
Hrvatska će dobiti 1400 doza.
Simptomi spomenute bolesti uključuje glavobolju, povišenu temperaturu, bolove u mišićima, otok limfnih čvorova i osip koji se javlja nekoliko dana. Bolest se liječi simptomatski, uz primjenu mnogo tekućine, a vrlo je mali broj hospitaliziranih osoba, poručila je Petrović.
Inače, Europska agencija za lijekove (EMA) objavila je u petak da je odobrila cjepivo protiv velikih boginja i za primjenu u prevenciji majmunskih boginja, bolesti koja se širi i za koju bi Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (WHO) mogla izdati maksimalno upozorenje.
WHO je u subotu objavio da je za više od 50 zemalja svijeta proglasio epidemiju majmunskih boginja "izvanrednom situacijom od međunarodnog značaja".
"Premda proglašavam izvanrednu javnozdravstvenu situaciju od međunarodnog značaja, moram istaknuti da se trenutačno radi o epidemiji koja je proširena uglavnom među muškarcima koji imaju spolne odnose s muškarcima, posebno onima sklonim većem broju seksualnih partnera", rekao je čelnik WHO-a Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
To znači, dodao je, da je riječ o epidemiji koja se može zaustaviti primjenom "prave strategije u određenim skupinama".

U Hrvatskoj je za sada potvrđeno 10 slučajeva majmunskih boginja, a riječ je o muškim pacijentima u dobi između 30 i 50 godina, potvrdila je u nedjelju epidemiologinja Goranka Petrović koja očekuje da će u idućim tjednima stići prve doze cjepiva protiv te virusne bolesti.
Za sada se zna da su dvojica zaražena u inozemstvu, a za ostale se još prikupljaju podaci.
Svaka država Europske unije donijet će svoj plan cijepljenja protiv majmunskih boginja, a prve doze u Hrvatsku mogle bi doći kroz nekoliko tjedana premda nije određen konkretan datum, rekla je za Hinu epidemiologinja iz Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo (HZJZ) Goranka Petrović.
Europska je komisija poduzela zajedničku nabavu cjepiva, a nekolicina je zemalja, poput Njemačke i Španjolske već primilo prve doze cjepiva protiv majmunskih boginje, koje su ove godine zabilježene u brojnim zemljama diljem europskog kontinenta.
''Podjela cjepiva prema državama izvršit će se proporcionalno prema broju stanovnika i prema tome u kojoj je mjeri epidemija pogodila određenu državu. U narednim tjednima očekuje se da cjepivo stigne i u Hrvatsku'', izjavila je voditeljica Odjela za respiratorne bolesti u HZJZ-u Goranka Petrović.
Majmunske boginje nisu klasična spolno prenosiva bolest, napomenula je Petrović. Još mnogo toga valja istražiti kada je riječ o ovoj bolesti, no poznato je to da se mogu prenijeti bliskim fizičkim kontaktom.
''U Hrvatskoj planiramo cijepiti one osobe koje su bile u bliskom kontaktu sa zaraženim osobama, unutar 4 do 14 dana od izloženosti zarazi'', rekla je epidemiologinja HZJZ-a.
Hrvatska će dobiti 1400 doza.
Simptomi spomenute bolesti uključuje glavobolju, povišenu temperaturu, bolove u mišićima, otok limfnih čvorova i osip koji se javlja nekoliko dana. Bolest se liječi simptomatski, uz primjenu mnogo tekućine, a vrlo je mali broj hospitaliziranih osoba, poručila je Petrović.
Inače, Europska agencija za lijekove (EMA) objavila je u petak da je odobrila cjepivo protiv velikih boginja i za primjenu u prevenciji majmunskih boginja, bolesti koja se širi i za koju bi Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (WHO) mogla izdati maksimalno upozorenje.
WHO je u subotu objavio da je za više od 50 zemalja svijeta proglasio epidemiju majmunskih boginja "izvanrednom situacijom od međunarodnog značaja".
"Premda proglašavam izvanrednu javnozdravstvenu situaciju od međunarodnog značaja, moram istaknuti da se trenutačno radi o epidemiji koja je proširena uglavnom među muškarcima koji imaju spolne odnose s muškarcima, posebno onima sklonim većem broju seksualnih partnera", rekao je čelnik WHO-a Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
To znači, dodao je, da je riječ o epidemiji koja se može zaustaviti primjenom "prave strategije u određenim skupinama".
