Stotine znanstvenih istraživanja dokazale su da je glifosat poguban za okoliš i ljudsko zdravlje. Taj se herbicid povezuje s brojnim zdravstvenim problemima, od metaboličkih, preko bolesti jetre i bubrega pa sve do raznih vrsta raka, među njima najviše non-Hodgkinova limfoma. I Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija smatra da je glifosat “vjerojatno kancerogen za ljude”, ali Europa se još nećka oko njegove potpune zabrane.
Najnovije izvješće nezavisne međunarodne organizacije PAN Europe donosi još pogubnije činjenice. Naime, u izvješću stoji da se glifosat i njegov metabolit AMPA nalaze u površinskim vodama u 11 od 12 ispitanih zemalja diljem Europe, čak i izvan sezone primjene pesticida. Od Poljske do Portugala, od Belgije do Bugarske, naše su vode onečišćene ovim herbicidom, upozoravaju Europski zeleni i PAN Europe dok govore o ovom uznemirujućem nalazu. Kontaminacija predstavlja značajnu prijetnju vodenim organizmima i uzrokuje nepotrebne troškove za europske vodovodne tvrtke.
Činjenica da su uzorci vode uzeti u razdoblju “izvan sezone” u poljoprivredi u većini zemalja ukazuje na sveprisutnu kontaminaciju glifosatom. Studija također baca svjetlo na nedostatak europskog sustava praćenja površinskih voda, otkrivajući kritičnu regulatornu prazninu u zaštiti naših vodnih resursa.
Glifosat i/ili AMPA otkriveni su iznad granice kvantifikacije od 0,2 μg/L (LOQ) u 17 od 23 uzorka riječne vode (74 posto), iz 11 od 12 zemalja. Uzorci riječne vode iz Austrije, Belgije, Bugarske, Hrvatske, Francuske, Njemačke, Mađarske, Nizozemske, Španjolske, Poljske i Portugala bili su kontaminirani jednom od ovih tvari. Jedino u Sloveniji nisu otkriveni glifosat ili AMPA. Najveća izmjerena koncentracija bila je 3,9 µg/L za AMPA-u u Poljskoj.
Iznenađuje činjenica da AMPA-u, glavni metabolit glifosata, Europska komisija trenutačno ne smatra relevantnim metabolitom za vodu za piće.

Stotine znanstvenih istraživanja dokazale su da je glifosat poguban za okoliš i ljudsko zdravlje. Taj se herbicid povezuje s brojnim zdravstvenim problemima, od metaboličkih, preko bolesti jetre i bubrega pa sve do raznih vrsta raka, među njima najviše non-Hodgkinova limfoma. I Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija smatra da je glifosat “vjerojatno kancerogen za ljude”, ali Europa se još nećka oko njegove potpune zabrane.
Najnovije izvješće nezavisne međunarodne organizacije PAN Europe donosi još pogubnije činjenice. Naime, u izvješću stoji da se glifosat i njegov metabolit AMPA nalaze u površinskim vodama u 11 od 12 ispitanih zemalja diljem Europe, čak i izvan sezone primjene pesticida. Od Poljske do Portugala, od Belgije do Bugarske, naše su vode onečišćene ovim herbicidom, upozoravaju Europski zeleni i PAN Europe dok govore o ovom uznemirujućem nalazu. Kontaminacija predstavlja značajnu prijetnju vodenim organizmima i uzrokuje nepotrebne troškove za europske vodovodne tvrtke.
Činjenica da su uzorci vode uzeti u razdoblju “izvan sezone” u poljoprivredi u većini zemalja ukazuje na sveprisutnu kontaminaciju glifosatom. Studija također baca svjetlo na nedostatak europskog sustava praćenja površinskih voda, otkrivajući kritičnu regulatornu prazninu u zaštiti naših vodnih resursa.
Glifosat i/ili AMPA otkriveni su iznad granice kvantifikacije od 0,2 μg/L (LOQ) u 17 od 23 uzorka riječne vode (74 posto), iz 11 od 12 zemalja. Uzorci riječne vode iz Austrije, Belgije, Bugarske, Hrvatske, Francuske, Njemačke, Mađarske, Nizozemske, Španjolske, Poljske i Portugala bili su kontaminirani jednom od ovih tvari. Jedino u Sloveniji nisu otkriveni glifosat ili AMPA. Najveća izmjerena koncentracija bila je 3,9 µg/L za AMPA-u u Poljskoj.
Iznenađuje činjenica da AMPA-u, glavni metabolit glifosata, Europska komisija trenutačno ne smatra relevantnim metabolitom za vodu za piće.
