Prijatelji životinja održali su u petak u povodu Međunarodnog dana zaštite životinja performans na Trgu bana Jelačića na kojem su s transparentima, lancima i trakama preko usta upozorili na nepravdu, patnju i smrt milijardi životinja, te pozvali na zaštitu svih životinja.

"Svatko od nas može biti zaštitnik životinja. i to ne samo pasa i mačaka već i onih brojnih nevidljivih javnosti - na farmama, u klaonicama, laboratorijima i kavezima", rekla je ambasadorica Međunarodnog dana zaštite životinja Ivana Lunka.

Pozvala je lokalne zajednice da obilježe taj dan provedbom Zakona o zaštiti životinja, odnosno provedbom kontrole mikročipiranja svih pasa, subvencioniranjem trajne sterilizacije, izgradnjom skloništa te promocijom udomljavanja umjesto kupnje i zaštite životinja, kako bi se riješili uzroci problema i stalo na kraj neodgovornosti građana prema životinjama za koje bi trebali skrbiti.

Aktivisti su na Svjetski dan životinja s farma, koji se obilježava 2. listopada, i u povodu Međunarodnog dana zaštite životinja, koji se obilježava 4. listopada, na zagrebačkom glavnom trgu sloganom "Budite njihov glas!" pozvali sve da se aktivno uključe u zaštitu najslabijih. 

"Ako zaista volite životinje pokažite to svakodnevnim akcijama: zamijenite životinjske proizvode onima biljnog podrijetla i uživajte u zdravim i ukusnim veganskim jelima, birajte proizvode koji nisu testirani na životinjama, ne posjećujte zoološke vrtove i akvarije", poručili su Prijatelji životinja s performansa.

Poručili su da i male promjene životnih navika mogu pomoći životinjama, pa tako savjetuju ljudima da ne nose krzno, kožu, vunu i svilu, već da ih zamijene ekološkim materijalima. Također, savjetuju da se životinje ne kupuju, već da se mačka ili pas udome iz skloništa. 

"Svaki dan trebamo biti aktivni jednako za sve životinje jer zaista nema razlike između krava i pasa, svinja i mačaka, svi trebaju naš glas", istaknuli su.

Naveli su kako svi mogu učiniti nešto, poput promoviranja udomljavanja, sakupljanja hrane, deka, igračaka te posjeta skloništu za napuštene životinje ili doniranja nekoj od udruga za zaštitu prava životinja.

"Iskorištavanjem životinja izravno štetimo planetu uništavajući bioraznolikost i prirodna staništa životinja, onečišćujemo zrak, vodu i tlo te koristimo goleme količine prirodnih resursa koji se mogu upotrijebiti za sprječavanje gladi u svijetu", kažu Prijatelji životinja.

Svjetski dan životinja s farma započela je obilježavati organizacija Farm Animal Rights Movement na rođendan vegetarijanca Mahatme Gandhija. Danas se taj dan obilježava kako bi se skrenula pozornost na patnju više od 70 milijardi krava, svinja, pilića i dr. na farmama i u klaonicama.

Međunarodni dan zaštite životinja počeo se obilježavati 1931. godine, a datum je izabran u spomen na svetog Franju Asiškog, ljubitelja prirode i zaštitnika životinja, koji je bio vegetarijanac.

Prijatelji životinja održali su u petak u povodu Međunarodnog dana zaštite životinja performans na Trgu bana Jelačića na kojem su s transparentima, lancima i trakama preko usta upozorili na nepravdu, patnju i smrt milijardi životinja, te pozvali na zaštitu svih životinja.

"Svatko od nas može biti zaštitnik životinja. i to ne samo pasa i mačaka već i onih brojnih nevidljivih javnosti - na farmama, u klaonicama, laboratorijima i kavezima", rekla je ambasadorica Međunarodnog dana zaštite životinja Ivana Lunka.

Pozvala je lokalne zajednice da obilježe taj dan provedbom Zakona o zaštiti životinja, odnosno provedbom kontrole mikročipiranja svih pasa, subvencioniranjem trajne sterilizacije, izgradnjom skloništa te promocijom udomljavanja umjesto kupnje i zaštite životinja, kako bi se riješili uzroci problema i stalo na kraj neodgovornosti građana prema životinjama za koje bi trebali skrbiti.

Aktivisti su na Svjetski dan životinja s farma, koji se obilježava 2. listopada, i u povodu Međunarodnog dana zaštite životinja, koji se obilježava 4. listopada, na zagrebačkom glavnom trgu sloganom "Budite njihov glas!" pozvali sve da se aktivno uključe u zaštitu najslabijih. 

"Ako zaista volite životinje pokažite to svakodnevnim akcijama: zamijenite životinjske proizvode onima biljnog podrijetla i uživajte u zdravim i ukusnim veganskim jelima, birajte proizvode koji nisu testirani na životinjama, ne posjećujte zoološke vrtove i akvarije", poručili su Prijatelji životinja s performansa.

Poručili su da i male promjene životnih navika mogu pomoći životinjama, pa tako savjetuju ljudima da ne nose krzno, kožu, vunu i svilu, već da ih zamijene ekološkim materijalima. Također, savjetuju da se životinje ne kupuju, već da se mačka ili pas udome iz skloništa. 

"Svaki dan trebamo biti aktivni jednako za sve životinje jer zaista nema razlike između krava i pasa, svinja i mačaka, svi trebaju naš glas", istaknuli su.

Naveli su kako svi mogu učiniti nešto, poput promoviranja udomljavanja, sakupljanja hrane, deka, igračaka te posjeta skloništu za napuštene životinje ili doniranja nekoj od udruga za zaštitu prava životinja.

"Iskorištavanjem životinja izravno štetimo planetu uništavajući bioraznolikost i prirodna staništa životinja, onečišćujemo zrak, vodu i tlo te koristimo goleme količine prirodnih resursa koji se mogu upotrijebiti za sprječavanje gladi u svijetu", kažu Prijatelji životinja.

Svjetski dan životinja s farma započela je obilježavati organizacija Farm Animal Rights Movement na rođendan vegetarijanca Mahatme Gandhija. Danas se taj dan obilježava kako bi se skrenula pozornost na patnju više od 70 milijardi krava, svinja, pilića i dr. na farmama i u klaonicama.

Međunarodni dan zaštite životinja počeo se obilježavati 1931. godine, a datum je izabran u spomen na svetog Franju Asiškog, ljubitelja prirode i zaštitnika životinja, koji je bio vegetarijanac.
