U Zagrebu je preminula Vesna Kesić, novinarka i aktivistkinja, osnivačica više feminističkih i mirovnih udruga u Hrvatskoj: Građanske inicijative za slobodu javne riječi, Centra za žene žrtve rata, Grupe za ženska ljudska prava B.a.B.e. i drugih.

Istaknula se osamdesetih kao reporterka Starta, pisala za Danas, Mladinu, NIN, Nedjeljnu Dalmaciju, od sredine devedesetih piše za nezavisne portale.

Jedna je od "Vještica iz Rija", početkom devedesetih optužena je u članku tjednika Globus s još četiri novinarke i književnice (Dubravkom Ugrešić, Radom Iveković, Slavenkom Drakulić i Jelenom Lovrić) za nedostatak domoljublja i navodno lobiranje protiv održavanja PEN-ova kongresa u Hrvatskoj. Kongres PEN-a održan je u Dubrovniku, a ona se od početka devedesetih više bavi mirovnim i feminističkim aktivizmom. Pisala je još za Arkzin i kasnije za nezavisne portale, tekstovi su joj objavljivani u brojnim zbornicima.

Istaknuta feministkinja, Vesna Kesić sudjelovala je u prvim feminističkim inicijativama u Jugoslaviji, od konferencije u Beogradu 1978. "Drug-ca žena: žensko pitanje - novi pristup?" do osnivanja sekcije Žena i društvo Sociološkog društva Hrvatske, ključno mjesto feminističkih rasprava osamdesetih.

Diplomirala je psihologiju i sociologiju u Zagrebu, magistrirala devedesetih na New School for Social Research u New Yorku s temom konstrukcije spola i etniciteta u ratovima u bivšoj Jugoslaviji, i njihovom utjecaju na motivaciju ratnog nasilja.

Ovog je ljeta bila premijera dokumentarnog filma na kojem je radila posljednjih godina "Ono drugo selo".

Film je režirao Jadran Boban na osnovu njezinog istraživanja o Španovici pored Pakraca, koje je objavljeno kao studija slučaja za Documentu 2013.

U Zagrebu je preminula Vesna Kesić, novinarka i aktivistkinja, osnivačica više feminističkih i mirovnih udruga u Hrvatskoj: Građanske inicijative za slobodu javne riječi, Centra za žene žrtve rata, Grupe za ženska ljudska prava B.a.B.e. i drugih.

Istaknula se osamdesetih kao reporterka Starta, pisala za Danas, Mladinu, NIN, Nedjeljnu Dalmaciju, od sredine devedesetih piše za nezavisne portale.

Jedna je od "Vještica iz Rija", početkom devedesetih optužena je u članku tjednika Globus s još četiri novinarke i književnice (Dubravkom Ugrešić, Radom Iveković, Slavenkom Drakulić i Jelenom Lovrić) za nedostatak domoljublja i navodno lobiranje protiv održavanja PEN-ova kongresa u Hrvatskoj. Kongres PEN-a održan je u Dubrovniku, a ona se od početka devedesetih više bavi mirovnim i feminističkim aktivizmom. Pisala je još za Arkzin i kasnije za nezavisne portale, tekstovi su joj objavljivani u brojnim zbornicima.

Istaknuta feministkinja, Vesna Kesić sudjelovala je u prvim feminističkim inicijativama u Jugoslaviji, od konferencije u Beogradu 1978. "Drug-ca žena: žensko pitanje - novi pristup?" do osnivanja sekcije Žena i društvo Sociološkog društva Hrvatske, ključno mjesto feminističkih rasprava osamdesetih.

Diplomirala je psihologiju i sociologiju u Zagrebu, magistrirala devedesetih na New School for Social Research u New Yorku s temom konstrukcije spola i etniciteta u ratovima u bivšoj Jugoslaviji, i njihovom utjecaju na motivaciju ratnog nasilja.

Ovog je ljeta bila premijera dokumentarnog filma na kojem je radila posljednjih godina "Ono drugo selo".

Film je režirao Jadran Boban na osnovu njezinog istraživanja o Španovici pored Pakraca, koje je objavljeno kao studija slučaja za Documentu 2013.

Preminula poznata novinarka, feministica i aktivistica Vesna Kesić

U Zagrebu je preminula Vesna Kesić, novinarka i aktivistkinja, osnivačica više feminističkih i mirovnih udruga u Hrvatskoj: Građanske inicijative za slobodu javne riječi, Centra za žene žrtve rata, Grupe za ženska ljudska prava B.a.B.e. i drugih.

Istaknula se osamdesetih kao reporterka Starta, pisala za Danas, Mladinu, NIN, Nedjeljnu Dalmaciju, od sredine devedesetih piše za nezavisne portale.

Jedna je od "Vještica iz Rija", početkom devedesetih optužena je u članku tjednika Globus s još četiri novinarke i književnice (Dubravkom Ugrešić, Radom Iveković, Slavenkom Drakulić i Jelenom Lovrić) za nedostatak domoljublja i navodno lobiranje protiv održavanja PEN-ova kongresa u Hrvatskoj. Kongres PEN-a održan je u Dubrovniku, a ona se od početka devedesetih...
