Razlog zašto je na obali više zaraženih mogao bi ležati u razlici vremena, ili barem tako tvrde s portala MeteoAdriatic.net, gdje su kao uzrok lakšeg širenja virusa povezali relativnu vlažnost zraka s incidencijom zaraze od COVID-a 19.

Hipoteza je kako je suhoća zraka uzrok za lakše širenje virusa jer je poznato da pri niskoj relativnoj vlažnosti dolazi do jakog sušenja sluznice, što olakšava zarazu jer virus jednostavnije kroz sluznicu prođe u tkivo. Što je relativna vlažnost zraka viša, sluznica je vlažnija i, logično, virus teže dolazi do tkiva.

Viša vlažnost

Iznimka Istre lako bi se objasnila ovom hipotezom jer ona ima višu vlažnost zraka zbog činjenice da se radi o poluotoku koji je okružen isparavajućim morem, ali i stoga što se pri buri zrak ne suši spuštanjem niz planinu jer planine u zaleđu i nema. To je jedan od razloga, napominju, da Istra ima povoljniju epidemiološku situaciju od ostatka hrvatske obale.

Mišljenje o povezanosti bure i virusa nije u potpunosti formirao ni Ozren Polašek, pročelnik Katedre za javno zdravstvo i voditelj Centra za globalno zdravlje Medicinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Splitu, koji se nalazi u Vladinu savjetu.

- Da, to bi sada bilo "vruće" pitanje, ali ne znam što bih točno o tome mislio. Pokušao sam i sam malo o tome promisliti, ali mislim da ta teza nema čvrsto uporište. Tu se radi o jednom nizu bitnih stvari koje se nužno ne poklapaju.

Ova teorija na mahove zvuči odlično, ali razlika obale i Zagreba nije toliko izravno usporediva da bi se to čvrsto sagledalo. Ove godine je zima i blaža, nije to dovoljno jaka bura da bi razlika u broju zaraženih bila tolika - rekao nam je ovaj iskusni epidemiolog koji tvrdi kako "ni sam nije mudar" koliko je ova teorija dokaziva u stvarnosti.

Mali utjecaj

U postavljenu hipotezu sumnja i njegov kolega, imunolog Zlatko Trobonjača, koji vjeruje kako bi ova teza mogla biti samo alibi za nepridržavanje mjera.

- Ne smatram da je to toliko važno niti da je bura krivac za širenje virusa. Možda ima nekog manjeg utjecaja, ali nikako ne u toliko mjeri da razlika zaraženih postoji na tisućama ljudi. Taj scenarij je izgledniji zimi kada ljudi sjede u zatvorenom prostoru koji se grije. Grijalice, radijatori i slični uređaji suše zrak koji onda suši i sluznicu. Aerosol zaraženog tada počne ispunjavati prostor i virus uđe u sluznicu.

Na početku epidemije je do zaraze trebalo proći i 15-20 minuta, ali sada s ovim novim sojevima to je vrijeme značajno kraće. Osoba koja je sada zaražena širi više virusa nego na početku - objašnjava stručnjak, koji vjeruje da bura ipak nije presudna.

- Najvažniji razlog zašto se zaraza širi je to što se ljudi ne pridržavaju mjera. Ponavljam, bura i suhi zrak možda imaju nekog utjecaja, ali nikako u tolikoj mjeri. Meni to zvuči kao traženje alibija za nedisciplinu pojedinih županija - nastavlja riječki imunolog te dodaje kako je važno i da službe koje se bave provođenjem mjera budu stroge u slučaju kršenja mjera, što nije uvijek slučaj.

Razlog zašto je na obali više zaraženih mogao bi ležati u razlici vremena, ili barem tako tvrde s portala MeteoAdriatic.net, gdje su kao uzrok lakšeg širenja virusa povezali relativnu vlažnost zraka s incidencijom zaraze od COVID-a 19.

Hipoteza je kako je suhoća zraka uzrok za lakše širenje virusa jer je poznato da pri niskoj relativnoj vlažnosti dolazi do jakog sušenja sluznice, što olakšava zarazu jer virus jednostavnije kroz sluznicu prođe u tkivo. Što je relativna vlažnost zraka viša, sluznica je vlažnija i, logično, virus teže dolazi do tkiva.

Viša vlažnost

Iznimka Istre lako bi se objasnila ovom hipotezom jer ona ima višu vlažnost zraka zbog činjenice da se radi o poluotoku koji je okružen isparavajućim morem, ali i stoga što se pri buri zrak ne suši spuštanjem niz planinu jer planine u zaleđu i nema. To je jedan od razloga, napominju, da Istra ima povoljniju epidemiološku situaciju od ostatka hrvatske obale.

Mišljenje o povezanosti bure i virusa nije u potpunosti formirao ni Ozren Polašek, pročelnik Katedre za javno zdravstvo i voditelj Centra za globalno zdravlje Medicinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Splitu, koji se nalazi u Vladinu savjetu.

- Da, to bi sada bilo "vruće" pitanje, ali ne znam što bih točno o tome mislio. Pokušao sam i sam malo o tome promisliti, ali mislim da ta teza nema čvrsto uporište. Tu se radi o jednom nizu bitnih stvari koje se nužno ne poklapaju.

Ova teorija na mahove zvuči odlično, ali razlika obale i Zagreba nije toliko izravno usporediva da bi se to čvrsto sagledalo. Ove godine je zima i blaža, nije to dovoljno jaka bura da bi razlika u broju zaraženih bila tolika - rekao nam je ovaj iskusni epidemiolog koji tvrdi kako "ni sam nije mudar" koliko je ova teorija dokaziva u stvarnosti.

Mali utjecaj

U postavljenu hipotezu sumnja i njegov kolega, imunolog Zlatko Trobonjača, koji vjeruje kako bi ova teza mogla biti samo alibi za nepridržavanje mjera.

- Ne smatram da je to toliko važno niti da je bura krivac za širenje virusa. Možda ima nekog manjeg utjecaja, ali nikako ne u toliko mjeri da razlika zaraženih postoji na tisućama ljudi. Taj scenarij je izgledniji zimi kada ljudi sjede u zatvorenom prostoru koji se grije. Grijalice, radijatori i slični uređaji suše zrak koji onda suši i sluznicu. Aerosol zaraženog tada počne ispunjavati prostor i virus uđe u sluznicu.

Na početku epidemije je do zaraze trebalo proći i 15-20 minuta, ali sada s ovim novim sojevima to je vrijeme značajno kraće. Osoba koja je sada zaražena širi više virusa nego na početku - objašnjava stručnjak, koji vjeruje da bura ipak nije presudna.

- Najvažniji razlog zašto se zaraza širi je to što se ljudi ne pridržavaju mjera. Ponavljam, bura i suhi zrak možda imaju nekog utjecaja, ali nikako u tolikoj mjeri. Meni to zvuči kao traženje alibija za nedisciplinu pojedinih županija - nastavlja riječki imunolog te dodaje kako je važno i da službe koje se bave provođenjem mjera budu stroge u slučaju kršenja mjera, što nije uvijek slučaj.
