Infektolog Ivo Ivić iz KBC-a Split za N1 je komentirao epidemiološku situaciju vezanu uz epidemiju koronavirusa te pojavu novog soja virusa.

“Broj hospitaliziranih se stalno kreće između 170 i 180, što znači da bolnica ne može normalno raditi i mora smanjiti druge aktivnosti”, rekao je Ivić, dodavši da se osjeća blagi pad broja pacijenata na respiratoru.

Što se tiče varijante omikron, Ivić kaže da je moguć i loš i dobar scenarij, a da će tek realni život pokazati pravo stanje stvari.

“Stvarnu težinu nemoguće je procijeniti. Bilo koja mutacija kad se pojavi može značiti i lakši i teži oblik bolesti i prenosivosti, ali to se ne može procijeniti dok virus ne počne cirkulirati. Nitko unaprijed ne može kazati što to znači”, rekao je Ivić.

Bude li u pitanju jednako teška klinička slika kao što je slučaj kod onih zaraženih varijantom delta, to će biti neugodno, kaže infektolog.

“A ako ne bude, što ima naznaka i što najavljuju iz Afrike, onda to ne mora značiti katastrofu. Svima nam mora biti jasno da će virus ostati u populaciji, da ne postoji čovjek na kugli zemaljskoj koji se neće zaraziti. Jedino je pitanje hoće li infekcija biti tako da ste se cijepili pa amortizirali sudar, ublažili prvi susret s virusom ili ste necijepljeni pa se izlažete riziku da bolest bude teška i da imate posljedice cijeli život, pa čak i umrete”, rekao je Ivić.

Komentirajući loš odaziv građana na cijepljenje, Ivić je rekao da strah igra ulogu, ali da se ljudi na kraju zamore i straha.

“Jasno je da su ljudi koji se cijepe lišeni rizika da dobiju tešku bolest. Na razini EU-a treba napraviti radikalan zaokret u pristupu, jer su mnoge zemlje u sličnoj situaciji kao i mi”, rekao je splitski liječnik te pojasnio:

“Približava se trenutak da mjere budu toliko stroge da će vam biti svejedno je li cijepljenje obavezno ili nije, jer ćete se morati cijepiti. To je jedini način da društveni sustav održi stabilnost”, rekao je Ivić.

Upitan o novim varijantama koronavirusa i cjepivima protiv njih, Ivić je rekao da se svake godine pojavi novi soj gripe pa se ljudi cijepe novim cjepivom protiv gripe.

“Nema razloga da bude drugačije s koronavirusom. Čim se pojavi novi soj, cijepit ćemo se protiv novoga soja i ja tu ne vidim nikakvog problema”, rekao je Ivić za N1.

Infektolog Ivo Ivić iz KBC-a Split za N1 je komentirao epidemiološku situaciju vezanu uz epidemiju koronavirusa te pojavu novog soja virusa.

“Broj hospitaliziranih se stalno kreće između 170 i 180, što znači da bolnica ne može normalno raditi i mora smanjiti druge aktivnosti”, rekao je Ivić, dodavši da se osjeća blagi pad broja pacijenata na respiratoru.

Što se tiče varijante omikron, Ivić kaže da je moguć i loš i dobar scenarij, a da će tek realni život pokazati pravo stanje stvari.

“Stvarnu težinu nemoguće je procijeniti. Bilo koja mutacija kad se pojavi može značiti i lakši i teži oblik bolesti i prenosivosti, ali to se ne može procijeniti dok virus ne počne cirkulirati. Nitko unaprijed ne može kazati što to znači”, rekao je Ivić.

Bude li u pitanju jednako teška klinička slika kao što je slučaj kod onih zaraženih varijantom delta, to će biti neugodno, kaže infektolog.

“A ako ne bude, što ima naznaka i što najavljuju iz Afrike, onda to ne mora značiti katastrofu. Svima nam mora biti jasno da će virus ostati u populaciji, da ne postoji čovjek na kugli zemaljskoj koji se neće zaraziti. Jedino je pitanje hoće li infekcija biti tako da ste se cijepili pa amortizirali sudar, ublažili prvi susret s virusom ili ste necijepljeni pa se izlažete riziku da bolest bude teška i da imate posljedice cijeli život, pa čak i umrete”, rekao je Ivić.

Komentirajući loš odaziv građana na cijepljenje, Ivić je rekao da strah igra ulogu, ali da se ljudi na kraju zamore i straha.

“Jasno je da su ljudi koji se cijepe lišeni rizika da dobiju tešku bolest. Na razini EU-a treba napraviti radikalan zaokret u pristupu, jer su mnoge zemlje u sličnoj situaciji kao i mi”, rekao je splitski liječnik te pojasnio:

“Približava se trenutak da mjere budu toliko stroge da će vam biti svejedno je li cijepljenje obavezno ili nije, jer ćete se morati cijepiti. To je jedini način da društveni sustav održi stabilnost”, rekao je Ivić.

Upitan o novim varijantama koronavirusa i cjepivima protiv njih, Ivić je rekao da se svake godine pojavi novi soj gripe pa se ljudi cijepe novim cjepivom protiv gripe.

“Nema razloga da bude drugačije s koronavirusom. Čim se pojavi novi soj, cijepit ćemo se protiv novoga soja i ja tu ne vidim nikakvog problema”, rekao je Ivić za N1.

Infektolog Ivo Ivić iz KBC-a Split za N1 je komentirao epidemiološku situaciju vezanu uz epidemiju koronavirusa te pojavu novog soja virusa.

“Broj hospitaliziranih se stalno kreće između 170 i 180, što znači da bolnica ne može normalno raditi i mora smanjiti druge aktivnosti”, rekao je Ivić, dodavši da se osjeća blagi pad broja pacijenata na respiratoru.

Što se tiče varijante omikron, Ivić kaže da je moguć i loš i dobar scenarij, a da će tek realni život pokazati pravo stanje stvari.

“Stvarnu težinu nemoguće je procijeniti. Bilo koja mutacija kad se pojavi može značiti i lakši i teži oblik bolesti i prenosivosti, ali to se ne može procijeniti dok virus ne počne cirkulirati. Nitko unaprijed ne može kazati što to znači”, rekao je Ivić.
