Nakon gotovo tri tjedna provedenih iza rešetaka istražnog zatvora na Bilicama, troje splitskih policajaca - dvoje inspektora Odjela organiziranog kriminaliteta splitske policije, M.D. (37) i njegova kolegica I.J.K. (50) te policajac Interventne policije A.A. (37) u srijedu poslijepodne pušteni su da se u nastavku postupka brane sa slobode.

Policajci su, podsjetimo, uhićeni zbog osnovane sumnje na počinjenje kaznenih djela zlouporabe položaja i ovlasti, sprječavanja dokazivanja i otkrivanja identiteta ugrožene osobe ili zaštićenog svjedoka, a sve vezano za svjedočenje osuđenog ubojice Željka Melvana koji je krajem siječnja na splitskom sudu, na iznenađenje mnogih, dao iskaz u postupku protiv svog kuma Deana Majstorovića zvanog Điđi čijoj se zločinačkoj skupini sudi zbog više kaznenih djela.

Melvan je tada, uz ostalo, kazao da ga je Điđi angažirao za ubojstvo T.M.-a za što je trebao dobiti 50 tisuća eura te da je trebao dobiti još ukupno 70 tisuća eura ako u Splitu još ubije i dvojicu mladih splitskih kriminalaca.

Nakon uhićenja četvero policajaca, jedan od dvojice interventnih, 34-godišnji J.V., pušten je da se brani sa slobode nakon što je, tijekom noćnog ispitivanja, priznao krivnju te je dao otkaz u policiji. Ostali su završili na Bilicama nakon što je zamjenica ravnateljice USKOK-a iz Zagreba predložila određivanje istražnog zatvora zbog opasnosti od utjecaja na svjedoke te je predložila saslušanje 20-ak svjedoka.

Sudac istrage prihvatio je da policajci budu iza rešetaka dok se ne ispita troje svjedoka, dvoje policajaca i vlasnik jednog ugostiteljskog objekta.

No, i za ispitivanje ta tri svjedoka trebalo je gotovo tri tjedna, pa obzirom na takav tempo, uhićeni policajci bi iza rešetaka bili sigurno puno duže da je prihvaćen izvorni USKOK-ov zahtjev.

- Imajući u vidu da je rješenje o otvaranju istrage i rješenje o određivanju istražnog zatvora postalo pravomoćno, smatram da je USKOK trebao puno ranije saslušati ta tri predložena svjedoka i tako bi se ranije stekli uvjeti da moji klijenti budu pušteni iz zatvora, a ne da se čeka evo skoro tri tjedna - kazao nam je odvjetnik Vinko Ljubičić koji brani i inspektora M.D i interventnog policajca A.A., dodajući kako njegovi klijenti nisu, tijekom boravka u zatvoru, imali apsolutno nikakvih problema te da imaju samo riječi hvale za djelatnike splitskog zatvora koji su se prema njima ponašali u skladu sa zakonom.

Kako doznajemo, tijekom ova tri tjedna USKOK nije predložio niti jedan novi dokaz kojim bi potkrijepili optužbu koja se gotovo isključivo (bar za sad) temelji na iskazu Mlevanove supruge Vesne.

USKOK, dakle, tereti policajca M. D. (koji je, uzgred rečeno, više od godinu dana vodio nadzor nad Điđijevom ekipom te ga je naposljetku i uhitio) da je 6. veljače ove godine, dok je vozio Melvanovu suprugu u službenom automobilu, istu upitao "što je sve to trebalo njenom mužu", uz dodatak "tko će sad štititi nju i djecu, jer su i policija i sudstvo i tužitelji korumpirani" nakon čega se raspitivao o tome koliko minuta razgovora ima na raspolaganju njen suprug iz zatvora u Glini gdje se nalazi. Sve je to kod Melvanove supruge izazvalo strah, pogotovo jer je, kako je rekla istražiteljima, inspektora M.D.-a svojedobno viđala u društvu s Majstorovićem.

Njegovoj kolegici I.J.K. stavlja se na teret da je, po iskazu Melvanove supruge, u jednom kafiću rekla njoj kao štićenoj osobi da je dobra prijateljica s Majstorovićem i s Kristijanom S. te da je najbolja prijateljica s majkom jedne djevojke koja je bila u braku i u ljubavnoj vezi s obojicom. Interventnog se policajca A.A. sumnjiči da je, dok je čuvao jednog člana obitelji Melvan, došao u poznati lokal na Gripama u kojem je ovaj radio te je ispred svih kazao da je došao po njega.

Kad ga je štićeni član Melvanove obitelji upitao zašto je to napravio jer ga je tako izložio i pred kolegama i gostima i gazdom, ovaj mu je odgovorio da to nije ništa strašno i neka kaže da je on njegov prijatelj. Do tog njegovog "istupa" policajci koji su ga štitili neprimjetno bi ga dovodili i odvodili na posao tako što bi mu poslali poruku da ga čekaju ispred lokala.

Policajac A.A. je još, sumnja se, Melvanovu suprugu pitao ima li Željko neke skrivene dokaze za to što je govorio na sudu te joj je dao do znanja da je s poslodavcem člana njene obitelji razgovarao o tome da je pod policijskom zaštitom.

Sada već bivšeg interventnog policajca J.V. sumnjiči se da je 30. siječnja došao u isti lokal kao i njegov kolega A.A. te je voditelju tog lokala koji je njegov prijatelj, rekao da policija štiti momka koji kod njega radi i objasnio mu zašto ga čuvaju. Nakon tog saznanja voditelj je pozvao člana obitelji Melvan, pitao ga zašto mu to nije sam rekao te ga je poslao na prisilni godišnji odmor.

Nakon gotovo tri tjedna provedenih iza rešetaka istražnog zatvora na Bilicama, troje splitskih policajaca - dvoje inspektora Odjela organiziranog kriminaliteta splitske policije, M.D. (37) i njegova kolegica I.J.K. (50) te policajac Interventne policije A.A. (37) u srijedu poslijepodne pušteni su da se u nastavku postupka brane sa slobode.

Policajci su, podsjetimo, uhićeni zbog osnovane sumnje na počinjenje kaznenih djela zlouporabe položaja i ovlasti, sprječavanja dokazivanja i otkrivanja identiteta ugrožene osobe ili zaštićenog svjedoka, a sve vezano za svjedočenje osuđenog ubojice Željka Melvana koji je krajem siječnja na splitskom sudu, na iznenađenje mnogih, dao iskaz u postupku protiv svog kuma Deana Majstorovića zvanog Điđi čijoj se zločinačkoj skupini sudi zbog više kaznenih djela.

Melvan je tada, uz ostalo, kazao da ga je Điđi angažirao za ubojstvo T.M.-a za što je trebao dobiti 50 tisuća eura te da je trebao dobiti još ukupno 70 tisuća eura ako u Splitu još ubije i dvojicu mladih splitskih kriminalaca.

Nakon uhićenja četvero policajaca, jedan od dvojice interventnih, 34-godišnji J.V., pušten je da se brani sa slobode nakon što je, tijekom noćnog ispitivanja, priznao krivnju te je dao otkaz u policiji. Ostali su završili na Bilicama nakon što je zamjenica ravnateljice USKOK-a iz Zagreba predložila određivanje istražnog zatvora zbog opasnosti od utjecaja na svjedoke te je predložila saslušanje 20-ak svjedoka.

Sudac istrage prihvatio je da policajci budu iza rešetaka dok se ne ispita troje svjedoka, dvoje policajaca i vlasnik jednog ugostiteljskog objekta.

No, i za ispitivanje ta tri svjedoka trebalo je gotovo tri tjedna, pa obzirom na takav tempo, uhićeni policajci bi iza rešetaka bili sigurno puno duže da je prihvaćen izvorni USKOK-ov zahtjev.

- Imajući u vidu da je rješenje o otvaranju istrage i rješenje o određivanju istražnog zatvora postalo pravomoćno, smatram da je USKOK trebao puno ranije saslušati ta tri predložena svjedoka i tako bi se ranije stekli uvjeti da moji klijenti budu pušteni iz zatvora, a ne da se čeka evo skoro tri tjedna - kazao nam je odvjetnik Vinko Ljubičić koji brani i inspektora M.D i interventnog policajca A.A., dodajući kako njegovi klijenti nisu, tijekom boravka u zatvoru, imali apsolutno nikakvih problema te da imaju samo riječi hvale za djelatnike splitskog zatvora koji su se prema njima ponašali u skladu sa zakonom.

Kako doznajemo, tijekom ova tri tjedna USKOK nije predložio niti jedan novi dokaz kojim bi potkrijepili optužbu koja se gotovo isključivo (bar za sad) temelji na iskazu Mlevanove supruge Vesne.

USKOK, dakle, tereti policajca M. D. (koji je, uzgred rečeno, više od godinu dana vodio nadzor nad Điđijevom ekipom te ga je naposljetku i uhitio) da je 6. veljače ove godine, dok je vozio Melvanovu suprugu u službenom automobilu, istu upitao "što je sve to trebalo njenom mužu", uz dodatak "tko će sad štititi nju i djecu, jer su i policija i sudstvo i tužitelji korumpirani" nakon čega se raspitivao o tome koliko minuta razgovora ima na raspolaganju njen suprug iz zatvora u Glini gdje se nalazi. Sve je to kod Melvanove supruge izazvalo strah, pogotovo jer je, kako je rekla istražiteljima, inspektora M.D.-a svojedobno viđala u društvu s Majstorovićem.

Njegovoj kolegici I.J.K. stavlja se na teret da je, po iskazu Melvanove supruge, u jednom kafiću rekla njoj kao štićenoj osobi da je dobra prijateljica s Majstorovićem i s Kristijanom S. te da je najbolja prijateljica s majkom jedne djevojke koja je bila u braku i u ljubavnoj vezi s obojicom. Interventnog se policajca A.A. sumnjiči da je, dok je čuvao jednog člana obitelji Melvan, došao u poznati lokal na Gripama u kojem je ovaj radio te je ispred svih kazao da je došao po njega.

Kad ga je štićeni član Melvanove obitelji upitao zašto je to napravio jer ga je tako izložio i pred kolegama i gostima i gazdom, ovaj mu je odgovorio da to nije ništa strašno i neka kaže da je on njegov prijatelj. Do tog njegovog "istupa" policajci koji su ga štitili neprimjetno bi ga dovodili i odvodili na posao tako što bi mu poslali poruku da ga čekaju ispred lokala.

Policajac A.A. je još, sumnja se, Melvanovu suprugu pitao ima li Željko neke skrivene dokaze za to što je govorio na sudu te joj je dao do znanja da je s poslodavcem člana njene obitelji razgovarao o tome da je pod policijskom zaštitom.

Sada već bivšeg interventnog policajca J.V. sumnjiči se da je 30. siječnja došao u isti lokal kao i njegov kolega A.A. te je voditelju tog lokala koji je njegov prijatelj, rekao da policija štiti momka koji kod njega radi i objasnio mu zašto ga čuvaju. Nakon tog saznanja voditelj je pozvao člana obitelji Melvan, pitao ga zašto mu to nije sam rekao te ga je poslao na prisilni godišnji odmor.
