Milijarder Jeff Bezos na ljeto planira isploviti u jednoj od najvećih jahti ikad izgrađenih. Plovilo Y721 kojeg gradi nizozemska kompanija Oceanico, dugo je gotovo 130 metara (417ft), tek upola kraće od Titanika, a za njega Bezos planira iskeširati najmanje pola milijarde dolara, piše portal tjednika Lider.
Javnost vjerojatno ne bi pretjerano marila za kupovinu jednog od najbogatijih ljudi na svijetu da do njih nije stigla jedna, malo je reći, neočekivana informacija. Naime, grad Rotterdam pristao je razmontirati povijesni most Koningshaven kako bi mega-jahta uopće mogla isploviti iz brodogradilišta. Iako je kompanija Oceanico poznata kao graditelj brodova za kupce s najdubljim džepom, ovo je prvi put da su izgradili jahtu toliko veliku, odnosno visoku da naprosto ne može proći ispod mosta.
Gradske su vlasti pristale na prijedlog Bezosa i kompanije da parcijalno razmontiraju most, jer je, kako tvrde, taj projekt važan iz ekonomske i perspektive zapošljavanja, a brodogradnja temelj njihove ekonomije. Nizozemski su se konzervatori pobunili protiv dekonstrukcije mosta koji je izgrađen 1878., a restauriran prije samo pet godina. Kako tvrde, ekonomija je važna, ali moraju postojati i neka ograničenja posebno ako projekt uključuje i nizozemsko povijesno naslijeđe.
Internetski korisnici (i to ne samo nizozemski) pobunili su se protiv odluke tvrdeći da je Bezos sa svojim zahtjevima otišao predaleko. Ili, kako je na Twitteru zapisao jedan nizozemski političar: 'Ovaj je čovjek svoje bogatstvo stekao otpuštajući radnike i izbjegavajući porez. Mi ćemo sad zbog njega razmontirati predivan nacionalni spomenik?!'.
Bezos se po tom pitanju nije izjasnio, pa kritičari zaključuju da ga za povijest Nizozemske nije ni briga. I vjerojatno nisu u krivu, piše Lider.

Milijarder Jeff Bezos na ljeto planira isploviti u jednoj od najvećih jahti ikad izgrađenih. Plovilo Y721 kojeg gradi nizozemska kompanija Oceanico, dugo je gotovo 130 metara (417ft), tek upola kraće od Titanika, a za njega Bezos planira iskeširati najmanje pola milijarde dolara, piše portal tjednika Lider.
Javnost vjerojatno ne bi pretjerano marila za kupovinu jednog od najbogatijih ljudi na svijetu da do njih nije stigla jedna, malo je reći, neočekivana informacija. Naime, grad Rotterdam pristao je razmontirati povijesni most Koningshaven kako bi mega-jahta uopće mogla isploviti iz brodogradilišta. Iako je kompanija Oceanico poznata kao graditelj brodova za kupce s najdubljim džepom, ovo je prvi put da su izgradili jahtu toliko veliku, odnosno visoku da naprosto ne može proći ispod mosta.
Gradske su vlasti pristale na prijedlog Bezosa i kompanije da parcijalno razmontiraju most, jer je, kako tvrde, taj projekt važan iz ekonomske i perspektive zapošljavanja, a brodogradnja temelj njihove ekonomije. Nizozemski su se konzervatori pobunili protiv dekonstrukcije mosta koji je izgrađen 1878., a restauriran prije samo pet godina. Kako tvrde, ekonomija je važna, ali moraju postojati i neka ograničenja posebno ako projekt uključuje i nizozemsko povijesno naslijeđe.
Internetski korisnici (i to ne samo nizozemski) pobunili su se protiv odluke tvrdeći da je Bezos sa svojim zahtjevima otišao predaleko. Ili, kako je na Twitteru zapisao jedan nizozemski političar: 'Ovaj je čovjek svoje bogatstvo stekao otpuštajući radnike i izbjegavajući porez. Mi ćemo sad zbog njega razmontirati predivan nacionalni spomenik?!'.
Bezos se po tom pitanju nije izjasnio, pa kritičari zaključuju da ga za povijest Nizozemske nije ni briga. I vjerojatno nisu u krivu, piše Lider.
