Pokojni srpski nogometaš i trener Vladica Popović jedna je od većih legendi beogradske Crvene Zvezde. Pet puta je kao igrač sa Zvezdom osvajao Jugoslavensku ligu, a u četiri navrata Kup. Kao trener se također okitio naslovom državnog prvaka 1991., a iste je godine osvojio i Interkontinentalni kup.

Sportal.rs se u spomen Popovića, koji je preminuo u kolovozu 2020., prisjetio upravo tog spektakularnog trijumfa nad Colo Colom koji je Zvezdi donijela titulu svjetskog klupskog prvaka, pišu Sportske novosti.

Doduše, prije nego li je preuzeo klupu Zvezde, Popović je radio u Kolumbiji gdje je također bio uspješan, a jednom mu je prilikom posao ponudio čuveni narkobos Pablo Escobar. Evo kako je srpski trener opisao tu anegdotu.

- U Kolumbiji sam kao trener radio sedamdesetih i osamdesetih, osvajao sam titule s klubovima iz Santa Fea (Independiente), Medellina (Atletico Nacional) i Calija (Deportivo)...Odjednom me na razgovor pozvao Pablo Escobar. Svi su već tada znali tko je on i to je bio poziv koji se ne smije odbiti. Odveo me u svoju vilu i htio me impresionirati tako što me u bazenu poslužio viskijem. Tražio je da postanem trener njegovog kluba iz Medellina, ali ja sam to odbio - prenosi Sportal.rs Popovićevu izjavu koja ima i svoj nastavak:

- Znao sam da takvom čovjeku ne smijem reći da ću razmisliti jer bi to značilo da sam pristao. Pogledao sam ga u oči u oči, skupio hrabrost i rekao, ‘‘Hvala, ali ja to ne mogu‘‘. Tražio je da ne odbijam odmah, pričao je da će napraviti zabavu u svojoj vili s najljepšim ženama samo za mene, da ću dobiti koliko god novca želim... Međutim, znao sam da ne smijem ulaziti u takav posao. Ako me pitate jesam li se tog trenutka bojao, neću vas lagati. I kad se 20 godina kasnije sjetim te priče, još mi uvijek klecaju koljena, ali znam da sam donio ispravnu odluku u tom trenutku.

Pokojni srpski nogometaš i trener Vladica Popović jedna je od većih legendi beogradske Crvene Zvezde. Pet puta je kao igrač sa Zvezdom osvajao Jugoslavensku ligu, a u četiri navrata Kup. Kao trener se također okitio naslovom državnog prvaka 1991., a iste je godine osvojio i Interkontinentalni kup.

Sportal.rs se u spomen Popovića, koji je preminuo u kolovozu 2020., prisjetio upravo tog spektakularnog trijumfa nad Colo Colom koji je Zvezdi donijela titulu svjetskog klupskog prvaka, pišu Sportske novosti.

Doduše, prije nego li je preuzeo klupu Zvezde, Popović je radio u Kolumbiji gdje je također bio uspješan, a jednom mu je prilikom posao ponudio čuveni narkobos Pablo Escobar. Evo kako je srpski trener opisao tu anegdotu.

- U Kolumbiji sam kao trener radio sedamdesetih i osamdesetih, osvajao sam titule s klubovima iz Santa Fea (Independiente), Medellina (Atletico Nacional) i Calija (Deportivo)...Odjednom me na razgovor pozvao Pablo Escobar. Svi su već tada znali tko je on i to je bio poziv koji se ne smije odbiti. Odveo me u svoju vilu i htio me impresionirati tako što me u bazenu poslužio viskijem. Tražio je da postanem trener njegovog kluba iz Medellina, ali ja sam to odbio - prenosi Sportal.rs Popovićevu izjavu koja ima i svoj nastavak:

- Znao sam da takvom čovjeku ne smijem reći da ću razmisliti jer bi to značilo da sam pristao. Pogledao sam ga u oči u oči, skupio hrabrost i rekao, ‘‘Hvala, ali ja to ne mogu‘‘. Tražio je da ne odbijam odmah, pričao je da će napraviti zabavu u svojoj vili s najljepšim ženama samo za mene, da ću dobiti koliko god novca želim... Međutim, znao sam da ne smijem ulaziti u takav posao. Ako me pitate jesam li se tog trenutka bojao, neću vas lagati. I kad se 20 godina kasnije sjetim te priče, još mi uvijek klecaju koljena, ali znam da sam donio ispravnu odluku u tom trenutku.

Pokojni srpski nogometaš i trener Vladica Popović jedna je od većih legendi beogradske Crvene Zvezde. Pet puta je kao igrač sa Zvezdom osvajao Jugoslavensku ligu, a u četiri navrata Kup. Kao trener se također okitio naslovom državnog prvaka 1991., a iste je godine osvojio i Interkontinentalni kup.

Sportal.rs se u spomen Popovića, koji je preminuo u kolovozu 2020., prisjetio upravo tog spektakularnog trijumfa nad Colo Colom koji je Zvezdi donijela titulu svjetskog klupskog prvaka, pišu Sportske novosti.

Doduše, prije nego li je preuzeo klupu Zvezde, Popović je radio u Kolumbiji gdje je također bio uspješan, a jednom mu je prilikom posao ponudio čuveni narkobos Pablo Escobar. Evo kako je srpski trener opisao tu anegdotu.

- U Kolumbiji sam kao trener radio sedamdesetih i osamdesetih, osvajao sam titule s klubovima iz Santa Fea (Independiente), Medellina (Atletico Nacional) i Calija (Deportivo)...Odjednom me na razgovor pozvao Pablo Escobar. Svi su već tada znali tko je on i to je bio poziv koji se ne smije odbiti. Odveo me u svoju vilu i htio me impresionirati tako što me u bazenu poslužio viskijem. Tražio je da postanem trener njegovog kluba iz Medellina, ali ja sam to odbio - prenosi Sportal.rs Popovićevu izjavu koja ima i svoj nastavak:

- Znao sam da takvom čovjeku ne smijem reći da ću razmisliti jer bi to značilo da sam pristao. Pogledao sam ga u oči u oči, skupio hrabrost i rekao, ‘‘Hvala, ali ja to ne mogu‘‘. Tražio je da ne odbijam odmah, pričao je da će napraviti zabavu u svojoj vili s najljepšim ženama samo za mene, da ću dobiti koliko god novca želim... Međutim, znao sam da ne smijem ulaziti u takav posao. Ako me pitate jesam li se tog trenutka bojao, neću vas lagati. I kad se 20 godina kasnije sjetim te priče, još mi uvijek klecaju koljena, ali znam da sam donio ispravnu odluku u tom trenutku.
