Koronavirus „ubija” sport na svakom koraku, odgoda je sve više. Nije virus zaobišao ni bazene pa je tako tri od pet utakmica osmog kola Prvenstva Hrvatske u vaterpolu odgođeno, no ona Jadrana i Medveščaka (danas u Zagrebu u 19.45) je još uvijek “živa”.
- Od četiri vratara samo ja mogu igrati – požalio nam se Jadranov čuvar mreže Mate Anić.
Zvali smo trenera Milu Smodlaku da vidimo kako jadranaši „guraju”?
- Stanje je kaotično – odmah je rekao Smodlaka.
Ipak, nema odgode.
- Mi ćemo igrati, moramo ići i u Bresciu i u utorak igrati u Ligi prvaka, tu nema otkazivanja. Ići ćemo u nekom sastavu, neće nas biti dovoljno za normalnu utakmicu, ali idemo.
U Ligi prvaka nema odgoda?
- Mislim da ne, utakmice se igraju, nema te opcije. Možemo se ne pojaviti i registrira se utakmica 0:5.
Koji su vam igrači “pokošeni”?
- Aut su vratari, Butić, Šetka, Čagalj ima problema sa želucem i fibrom, groznica, neki su tek izašli iz korone, neki tek izlaze, što će biti s njima i u kakvom će biti stanju, pretpostavljam užasnom. Strah me je uopće opteretiti igrače, mislim one koji su imali problema držati u sastavu, ali igrati s osam igrača.
Je li ikad bio ovako loše?
- Specifična je situacija, nije baš bilo ovako do sada, ne sjećam se. Ma neee. Ove sezone da je netko bio desetkovan i morao igrati, nije toga bilo. Najvažnije je u ovom trenutku sačuvati momke i odraditi ovo kako god. Igramo se za zdravljem... Jedino što kao trener mogu je one koji su preboljeli koronu staviti u momčad, da se dobro zagrnu na klupi i gledaju utakmicu. Neću ih stavljati igrati, jedino tko inzistira...
Kako je u drugim klubovima?
- Svugdje ima korone, znam primjer Mornara, pričao sam i s trenerom Barcelonete Elvisom Fatovićem da i u njih ima problema. Zvao me, oni su pokušali kontaktirati nekoga u LEN-i da vide kakve su opcije za odgodu jer u srijedu im dolazi Pro Recco, ali nisu danima uspjeli dočekati da im netko digne slušalicu. Moj mu je savjet bio da traži u omladinskom pogonu što može.
Vi putujete u Italiju, u utorak u Bresciju. Možete li vi posegnuti za mladima?
- Javlja se i tu problem, tko nema COVID putovnicu, a djeca nisu ni cijepljena, jednostavno im ne vrijedi negativan nalaz, u Italiji bi morali pet dana u samoizolaciju. Tajnica me moli danima da joj dan listu putnika, ali uspjeli smo se razumjeti da je to moguće tek neposredno prije puta.
Koliko će vas ovi problemi poremetiti za dalje za nastavak sezone?
- Sigurno jako, došlo je u nezgodno vrijeme. Bila je tu i ta pauza, pa obveze nekih naših igrača u reprezentaciji. Mi nismo od finalne utakmice u Kupu bili na okupu. A to je bilo 19. prosinca. I na kraju krajeva, bojim se da ni u srijedu nećemo biti na okupu. Propustili smo ovu fazu gdje je bilo planiramo odraditi ciklus treninga, morat ćemo improvizirati.
Pun li vam barem baterije činjenica da ste jedan trofej već osvojili, taj Kup u finalu protiv Juga Adriatic osiguranje u kojemu ste maestralno posložili momčad i slavili?
- Dugo godina sam bio u Juga, 15 godina, taj ritam natjecanja nije nam dozvoljavao da maštamo i živimo na staroj slavi. Dva dana i zaboravlja se, idemo dalje. Ostalo je to u mom mentalnom sklopu. I čak mi je i drago da je tako ... Napravili smo puno, ali sutra neće vrijediti ništa ako ne nastavimo u tom ritmu – poručio je Smodlaka.

Koronavirus „ubija” sport na svakom koraku, odgoda je sve više. Nije virus zaobišao ni bazene pa je tako tri od pet utakmica osmog kola Prvenstva Hrvatske u vaterpolu odgođeno, no ona Jadrana i Medveščaka (danas u Zagrebu u 19.45) je još uvijek “živa”.
- Od četiri vratara samo ja mogu igrati – požalio nam se Jadranov čuvar mreže Mate Anić.
Zvali smo trenera Milu Smodlaku da vidimo kako jadranaši „guraju”?
- Stanje je kaotično – odmah je rekao Smodlaka.
Ipak, nema odgode.
- Mi ćemo igrati, moramo ići i u Bresciu i u utorak igrati u Ligi prvaka, tu nema otkazivanja. Ići ćemo u nekom sastavu, neće nas biti dovoljno za normalnu utakmicu, ali idemo.
U Ligi prvaka nema odgoda?
- Mislim da ne, utakmice se igraju, nema te opcije. Možemo se ne pojaviti i registrira se utakmica 0:5.
Koji su vam igrači “pokošeni”?
- Aut su vratari, Butić, Šetka, Čagalj ima problema sa želucem i fibrom, groznica, neki su tek izašli iz korone, neki tek izlaze, što će biti s njima i u kakvom će biti stanju, pretpostavljam užasnom. Strah me je uopće opteretiti igrače, mislim one koji su imali problema držati u sastavu, ali igrati s osam igrača.
Je li ikad bio ovako loše?
- Specifična je situacija, nije baš bilo ovako do sada, ne sjećam se. Ma neee. Ove sezone da je netko bio desetkovan i morao igrati, nije toga bilo. Najvažnije je u ovom trenutku sačuvati momke i odraditi ovo kako god. Igramo se za zdravljem... Jedino što kao trener mogu je one koji su preboljeli koronu staviti u momčad, da se dobro zagrnu na klupi i gledaju utakmicu. Neću ih stavljati igrati, jedino tko inzistira...
Kako je u drugim klubovima?
- Svugdje ima korone, znam primjer Mornara, pričao sam i s trenerom Barcelonete Elvisom Fatovićem da i u njih ima problema. Zvao me, oni su pokušali kontaktirati nekoga u LEN-i da vide kakve su opcije za odgodu jer u srijedu im dolazi Pro Recco, ali nisu danima uspjeli dočekati da im netko digne slušalicu. Moj mu je savjet bio da traži u omladinskom pogonu što može.
Vi putujete u Italiju, u utorak u Bresciju. Možete li vi posegnuti za mladima?
- Javlja se i tu problem, tko nema COVID putovnicu, a djeca nisu ni cijepljena, jednostavno im ne vrijedi negativan nalaz, u Italiji bi morali pet dana u samoizolaciju. Tajnica me moli danima da joj dan listu putnika, ali uspjeli smo se razumjeti da je to moguće tek neposredno prije puta.
Koliko će vas ovi problemi poremetiti za dalje za nastavak sezone?
- Sigurno jako, došlo je u nezgodno vrijeme. Bila je tu i ta pauza, pa obveze nekih naših igrača u reprezentaciji. Mi nismo od finalne utakmice u Kupu bili na okupu. A to je bilo 19. prosinca. I na kraju krajeva, bojim se da ni u srijedu nećemo biti na okupu. Propustili smo ovu fazu gdje je bilo planiramo odraditi ciklus treninga, morat ćemo improvizirati.
Pun li vam barem baterije činjenica da ste jedan trofej već osvojili, taj Kup u finalu protiv Juga Adriatic osiguranje u kojemu ste maestralno posložili momčad i slavili?
- Dugo godina sam bio u Juga, 15 godina, taj ritam natjecanja nije nam dozvoljavao da maštamo i živimo na staroj slavi. Dva dana i zaboravlja se, idemo dalje. Ostalo je to u mom mentalnom sklopu. I čak mi je i drago da je tako ... Napravili smo puno, ali sutra neće vrijediti ništa ako ne nastavimo u tom ritmu – poručio je Smodlaka.
