ATP Cup, natjecanje 24 reprezentacije koje je početkom ove godine debitirao u Brisbaneu, Perthu i Sydneyu, otkazan je za 2021. godinu, objavio je Australski teniski savez.

ATP Cup je natjecanje koje je pokrenuo ATP kao odgovor na novi format Davis Cupa, a na prvom izdanju slavila je Srbija, dok je Hrvatska natjecanje završila u skupini.

Australski savez je priopćio i kako je dobio dopuštenje vlade države Victoria da dopusti tenisačima treniranje tijekom njihove 14-dnevne karantene uoči Australian Opena,koji bi se trebao održati od 18. do 31. siječnja u Melbourneu.

Prema australskim medijima, prvi Grand Slam sezone počet će tjedan ili dva nakon zakazanog datuma početka i svi igrači će morati proći karantenu, uz "strogo pridržavanje" zdravstvenih smjernica.

Ipak, moći će trenirati nakon protesta najboljih tenisača, pa je tako pobjednik nedavnog ATP finala Rus Daniil Medvedev rekao da bi bilo "opasno biti dva tjedna zatvoren u hotelskoj sobi, a zatim igrati mečeve na Australian openu".

Svi turniri u Australiji uoči Australian opena prebačeni su u državu Victoriju, koja je već skoro mjesec dana bez novog slučaja zaraze koronavirusom.

ATP Cup, natjecanje 24 reprezentacije koje je početkom ove godine debitirao u Brisbaneu, Perthu i Sydneyu, otkazan je za 2021. godinu, objavio je Australski teniski savez.

ATP Cup je natjecanje koje je pokrenuo ATP kao odgovor na novi format Davis Cupa, a na prvom izdanju slavila je Srbija, dok je Hrvatska natjecanje završila u skupini.

Australski savez je priopćio i kako je dobio dopuštenje vlade države Victoria da dopusti tenisačima treniranje tijekom njihove 14-dnevne karantene uoči Australian Opena,koji bi se trebao održati od 18. do 31. siječnja u Melbourneu.

Prema australskim medijima, prvi Grand Slam sezone počet će tjedan ili dva nakon zakazanog datuma početka i svi igrači će morati proći karantenu, uz "strogo pridržavanje" zdravstvenih smjernica.

Ipak, moći će trenirati nakon protesta najboljih tenisača, pa je tako pobjednik nedavnog ATP finala Rus Daniil Medvedev rekao da bi bilo "opasno biti dva tjedna zatvoren u hotelskoj sobi, a zatim igrati mečeve na Australian openu".

Svi turniri u Australiji uoči Australian opena prebačeni su u državu Victoriju, koja je već skoro mjesec dana bez novog slučaja zaraze koronavirusom.

ATP Cup, natjecanje 24 reprezentacije koje je početkom ove godine debitirao u Brisbaneu, Perthu i Sydneyu, otkazan je za 2021. godinu, objavio je Australski teniski savez.

ATP Cup je natjecanje koje je pokrenuo ATP kao odgovor na novi format Davis Cupa, a na prvom izdanju slavila je Srbija, dok je Hrvatska natjecanje završila u skupini.

Australski savez je priopćio i kako je dobio dopuštenje vlade države Victoria da dopusti tenisačima treniranje tijekom njihove 14-dnevne karantene uoči Australian Opena,koji bi se trebao održati od 18. do 31. siječnja u Melbourneu.

Prema australskim medijima, prvi Grand Slam sezone počet će tjedan ili dva nakon zakazanog datuma početka i svi igrači će morati proći karantenu, uz "strogo pridržavanje" zdravstvenih smjernica.
