Bivša prva tenisačica svijeta Japanka Naomi Osaka (22) povukla se sa turnira Western & Southern Open u New Yorku, i to samo nekoliko sati nakon što je izborila polufinale. Osaka je objasnila da je to učinila u znak prosvjeda zbog rasne nepravde.

"Ja sam sportašica, ali prije svega sam crnkinja. Kao crnkinja osjećam da trenutno ima puno važnijih stvari kojima se treba posvetiti, negoli igrati tenis", objavila je Osaka putem Twittera.

Nakon toga organizatori turnira priopćili su kako se u četvrtak neće odigrati niti jedan meč, a polufinale je prebačeno na petak. No, nije jasno hoće li se Naomi Osaka predomisliti i pojaviti se u petak na terenu.

Sve je počelo u srijedu navečer po američkom vremenu kada su košarkaši Milwaukee Bucksa bojkotirali petu utakmicu prvog kruga doigravanja protiv Orlando Magica, prosvjedujući protiv policijske brutalnosti prema afroamerikancu Jacobu Blakeu.

Pridružili su im se igrači Orlanda, a nakon toga vodstvo košarkaške NBA lige odgodilo je tri noćašnje utakmice doigravanja, Milwaukee Bucks - Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets - Oklahoma City Thunder, te LA Lakers - Portland Trail Blazers.

Bivša prva tenisačica svijeta Japanka Naomi Osaka (22) povukla se sa turnira Western & Southern Open u New Yorku, i to samo nekoliko sati nakon što je izborila polufinale. Osaka je objasnila da je to učinila u znak prosvjeda zbog rasne nepravde.

"Ja sam sportašica, ali prije svega sam crnkinja. Kao crnkinja osjećam da trenutno ima puno važnijih stvari kojima se treba posvetiti, negoli igrati tenis", objavila je Osaka putem Twittera.

Nakon toga organizatori turnira priopćili su kako se u četvrtak neće odigrati niti jedan meč, a polufinale je prebačeno na petak. No, nije jasno hoće li se Naomi Osaka predomisliti i pojaviti se u petak na terenu.

Sve je počelo u srijedu navečer po američkom vremenu kada su košarkaši Milwaukee Bucksa bojkotirali petu utakmicu prvog kruga doigravanja protiv Orlando Magica, prosvjedujući protiv policijske brutalnosti prema afroamerikancu Jacobu Blakeu.

Pridružili su im se igrači Orlanda, a nakon toga vodstvo košarkaške NBA lige odgodilo je tri noćašnje utakmice doigravanja, Milwaukee Bucks - Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets - Oklahoma City Thunder, te LA Lakers - Portland Trail Blazers.

Bivša prva tenisačica svijeta Japanka Naomi Osaka (22) povukla se sa turnira Western & Southern Open u New Yorku, i to samo nekoliko sati nakon što je izborila polufinale. Osaka je objasnila da je to učinila u znak prosvjeda zbog rasne nepravde.

"Ja sam sportašica, ali prije svega sam crnkinja. Kao crnkinja osjećam da trenutno ima puno važnijih stvari kojima se treba posvetiti, negoli igrati tenis", objavila je Osaka putem Twittera.

Nakon toga organizatori turnira priopćili su kako se u četvrtak neće odigrati niti jedan meč, a polufinale je prebačeno na petak. No, nije jasno hoće li se Naomi Osaka predomisliti i pojaviti se u petak na terenu.

Sve je počelo u srijedu navečer po američkom vremenu kada su košarkaši Milwaukee Bucksa bojkotirali petu utakmicu prvog kruga...
