Zanimljivu priču o 16-ogodišnjem Mati Ivkoviću donio je španjolski As. Tiražni list pozabavio se odlukom Mourinha da Ivkovića pozove na početak ovogodišnjih priprema Rome, kluba u koji je u siječnju stigao iz Hajduka. Španjolci ističu, Portugalac je prekršio svoje kanone, svoj uobičajeni način rada tražeći Matu Ivkovića za predsezonu. Pritom Ivkovića opisuju kao "rijetkog veznjaka sličnog Nemanji Matiću". Ne čudi usporedba, jer Matić je ovog ljeta iz ManUniteda stigao kao slobodan igrač u Romu. Tek je dva centimetra Ivković niži od Matića, ali za trenera Nenada Praliju koji je sa Ivkovićem radio u hrvatskoj reprezentaciji U17, nesporna je i razlika, pišu Sportske novosti.

Riječ je o središnjem veznom igraču, ljevaku koji se osim fizičkim sposobnostima i inteligencijom ističe i načinom na koji rješava situacije pod pritiskom.

Španjolci dodaju, unatoč svojoj visini (192 cm-op.a.), ima odličnu kontrolu lopte vrlo finom lijevom nogom i sposoban je vrlo dobro započeti utakmicu, usmjeriti igru. Pod pritiskom, kao što je spomenuto, lako izlazi iz kompromitiranih situacija, dajući kontinuitet bez gubljenja okomitosti i eliminirajući suparnike kako bi prevladao linije pritiska.

Mourinho, kod kojeg je već debitirao prošle subote u prvoj ljetnoj prijateljskoj utakmici, želi ga ovih dana ocijeniti je li spreman ući, barem u svojim pozivima, ili nastaviti u orbiti prve momčadi učeći od igrača, upravo Matićevog iskustva. Zajedno s njim u rukama jednog Mourinha španjolski As našao je golemu sličnost. Pritom ne smijemo zaboraviti da je i Matić stigao u Romu na izričit zahtjev Portugalca. Roma je u siječnju stigla ispred svih i sada želi ubrzati korake s talentom od samo 16 godina. Ivkovića čeka još puno posla da potvrdi sve te prognoze, ali frapantno je kako Roma ubrzava s njim.

- Ne iznenađuje mene njegov napredak, jer Ivković je snažan karakter. Ima 16 godina, ali zreliji je od mnogih 20-ogodišnjaka. Mali Mate je veliki – zaključio je Pralija.

Zanimljivu priču o 16-ogodišnjem Mati Ivkoviću donio je španjolski As. Tiražni list pozabavio se odlukom Mourinha da Ivkovića pozove na početak ovogodišnjih priprema Rome, kluba u koji je u siječnju stigao iz Hajduka. Španjolci ističu, Portugalac je prekršio svoje kanone, svoj uobičajeni način rada tražeći Matu Ivkovića za predsezonu. Pritom Ivkovića opisuju kao "rijetkog veznjaka sličnog Nemanji Matiću". Ne čudi usporedba, jer Matić je ovog ljeta iz ManUniteda stigao kao slobodan igrač u Romu. Tek je dva centimetra Ivković niži od Matića, ali za trenera Nenada Praliju koji je sa Ivkovićem radio u hrvatskoj reprezentaciji U17, nesporna je i razlika, pišu Sportske novosti.

- Nezahvalno je uspoređivati igrače različitih godišta, ali gledajući samo igračku kvalitetu, pred Ivkovićem je sjajna budućnost. Lijeva noga, tjelesna moć, visina, mogućnost igranj ana više pozicija u veznoj liniji. Sve to ima Ivković - kazao nam je Pralija.

Mourinho nije baš sklon eksperimentima, ponekad čak ni u predsezoni. Ponekad su ga optuživali da je premalo prilika nudio mladim igračima. No, ovo je jedna od drukčijih situacija, prigoda u kojoj talentu treba dati šansu. Da se kasnije ne bi kajali, piše As. Roma je zato u siječnju vrlo snažno tipovala na visokog i vrlo mladog Matu Ivkovića. Korektor sredine koji je u siječnju napunio 16 godina i kojemu je Tiago Pinto, šef Rominih nogometnih operacija, nekoliko mjeseci nakon isteka ugovora platio splitskom Hajduku oko 600.000 eura.

- Nisam mogao čekati – kazao je Pinto.

Roma je primijetila neobičan tehnički i fizički rast za dječaka koji je tada imao tek 15 godina, ali bio je daleko ispred svih. Zato je Roma brzo potpisala ugovor s Ivkovićem uključivši ga u svoj nogometni proces. Ali, nisu bile dovoljne mlađe kategorije, primjetio ga je i Mourinho. Special one je postavio zahtjev, uvrstio ga je u predsezonsku postavu nakon što je 16-ogodišnjak iz Splita počeo u Rominoj selekciji U-17 iz koje je brzo promoviran u ekipu U-18. Riječ je o središnjem veznom igraču, ljevaku koji se osim fizičkim sposobnostima i inteligencijom ističe i načinom na koji rješava situacije pod pritiskom.

Zanimljivu priču o 16-ogodišnjem Mati Ivkoviću donio je španjolski As. Tiražni list pozabavio se odlukom Mourinha da Ivkovića pozove na početak ovogodišnjih priprema Rome, kluba u koji je u siječnju stigao iz Hajduka. Španjolci ističu, Portugalac je prekršio svoje kanone, svoj uobičajeni način rada tražeći Matu Ivkovića za predsezonu. Pritom Ivkovića opisuju kao "rijetkog veznjaka sličnog Nemanji Matiću". Ne čudi usporedba, jer Matić je ovog ljeta iz ManUniteda stigao kao slobodan igrač u Romu. Tek je dva centimetra Ivković niži od Matića, ali za trenera Nenada Praliju koji je sa Ivkovićem radio u hrvatskoj reprezentaciji U17, nesporna je i razlika, pišu Sportske novosti.

- Nezahvalno je uspoređivati igrače različitih godišta, ali gledajući samo...
