Schalke je posljednji u Bundesligi, ali to čak i nije ono najstrašnije za navijače momčadi iz Gelsenkirchena, jedne od najomiljenijih u Njemačkoj. Bez osvojenog su boda nakon tri kola, a gol razlika im je čak minus 14. Uz samo jedan postignuti gol u 270 minuta igre i 15 primljenih.

Ako ćemo kronološki 0:8 potop kod Bayerna, 1:3 kod kuće protiv Werdera koji se prošle sezone od ispadanja spasio tek u doigravanju, pa 0:4 doma sa RB Leipzigom. Čini se kako je Schalke na najboljem putu da se priključi dugoj listi njemačkih velikana koji su zadnjih godina ispadali u niži rang. HSV je ispao 2018., Stuttgart 2019. (vratio se ove sezone), a nakon što su već u ovom stoljeću ispadali i Borussia Mönchengladbach, Eintracht (vratili su se), Köln, Kaiserslautern...

Takav scenarij dao se naslutiti već prošle sezone. Tada je Schalke prvenstvo završio sa za Bundesligu rekordnim nizom od 16 susreta bez pobjede, kojim su se s pete pozicije strmoglavili na dvanaestu. A onda su još dva poraza na startu ovog prvenstva koštala trenera Davida Wagnera posla, pa neka je kum Jürgena Kloppa. Uslijedio je potom i treći.

A povijest bolesti je malo duža. „Rudari” su klub masa, radnički iz industrijskog Ruhra, članski. Schalke je uz Bayern, Nürnberg i Borussiju Dortmund najtrofejniji njemački klub. Ima sedam naslova prvaka, ali nijedan od formiranja Bundeslige 1963. Posljednji datira iz 1958. Većina trofejnih vitrina popunjena je tridesetih i četrdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća. Zlobnici bi rekli u vrijeme kada je (ne samo Njemačkom) drmao njihov navijač Adolf Hitler.

Pamti se trofej Kupa UEFA-e osvojen 1997. Najbliže tituli prvaka bio je 2001. kada je već pripremljeno slavlje prekinuo gol Patrika Anderssona u sudačkoj nadoknadi za Bayern u Hamburgu. Četiri godine kasnije otvorena je impresivna Veltins Arena, ali nikako se nije otvorio šampanjac zbog naslova prvaka. Polufinale LP s Raulom u momčadi igralo se 2011. Ipak, angažman slavnog Španjolca bio je jedan od rijetkih pogodaka klupske struke. Mnogo češći su bili promašaji na tržištu nogu. I općenito lutanja u sportskoj politici. Dovoljno govori što je aktualni Manuel Baum 27. trener Schalkea u ovom stoljeću. Spavaš li mirno Hajduče?

Sve je to imalo i financijske posljedice. A kada se još nadovezala opća kriza zbog koronavirusa ovog ljeta Schalke nije platio odštetu za nijednog igrača, tek dva milijuna eura za posudbu Goncala Paciencije iz Eintrachta. Veteran Vedad Ibišević je došao bez odštete, a plaću donira u dobrotvorne svrhe. Financijsku krizu je produbio odlazak čelnog čovjeka kluba milijardera Clemensa Toenniesa (težak više od dvije milijarde eura) u lipnju. Koronavirus je dodatno pogodio „kralja kobasica”, jer jedna od njegovih tvornica bila je i žarište Covida-19 među radnicima. Navodno je zaraženo više od 1500 potplaćenih mahom istočnoeuropskih radnika koji su bili u neuvjetnim grupnim smještajnim jedinicama. Zbog toga je prosvjedovala njemačka javnost, ali i navijači Schalkea. Tražili su odlazak čovjeka koji je predstavljao radnički klub, a tako se odnosio prema radnicima. Toennies je na koncu otišao.

No, još i prije koronavirusa financijski je sezonu 2018/19 Schalke završio sa čak 200 milijuna eura duga. Kada je nastupila pandemija bilo je jasno da je jedan od najugroženiji njemačkih klubova. Ne samo zbog visine tog duga, nego i velike ovisnosti o prihodima od navijača, članstva, sponzora koji su se smanjivali. To je uskoro bilo evidentno. Jedino Schalke nije ponudio kupcima sezonskih ulaznica povrat novca zbog toga što zbog covida-19 nisu mogli na utakmice. A otkaze su dobili tek 450 eura mjesečno plaćeni „part-time” šoferi mladih nogometaša koje roditelji nisu u mogućnosti voziti na treninge. To je izazvalo bijes navijača kluba koji je sa 160 tisuća članova drugi po članstvu u državi.

- Ovo je moralni bankrot. Svi koji ne mare za Schalkeove vrijednosti moraju otići – poručili su navijači iz „Ultras Gelsenkirchena”, jedne od najpoznatijih navijačkih grupa u Njemačkoj.

- Moramo napraviti korak unatrag, ne možemo više živjeti u snovima – rekao je pred početak sezone sportski direktor Jochen Schneider. Spominjalo se tada u medijima da će klub uvesti i limit od 2,5 milijuna eura na godišnje plaće, kao i to da će od pokrajine Sjeverne Rajne-Vestfalije navodno tražiti jamstvo za kredit od 40 milijuna eura. A prije samo tri sezone, kada je član kluba na posudbi iz Juventusa bio i naš Marko Pjaca, Schalke je Bundesligu završio na drugom mjestu.

Hrvatski pečat

Od bivših igrača Hajduka u Schalkeu su bili Brane Oblak, Vilson Džoni, Mario Boljat, Dragan Holcer. Tu su igrali i Ivan Rakitić, Marko Pjaca, Filip Tapalović.

- Kad san iša u Schalke, pita san se di san to uopće otiša, a onda san vidija da je to klub koji je u Njemačkoj ka Hajduk, po navijačima, tradiciji... - priča nam Džoni koji je dvije sezone nosio dres Schalkea, od 1979. do 1981.

- Ža mi je zbog svega šta se tom klubu događa u zadnje vrime.

Schalke je osamdesetih i početkom devedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća proveo pet sezona u drugoj ligi (81/82, 83/84, 88-91). Zbog koronavirusa klub nije više u mogućnosti da se ravnopravno financijski bori s konkurencijom iz Bundeslige, kamoli iz Europe.

- Šteta. Financije su glavni problem, nema para. Schalke nije u mogućnosti kupiti pravog igrača. A imali su braću Sane koji su bili dica kluba – kaže nam Džoni.

Leroy Sane (24) je još 2016. otišao u Manchester City i sad je u Bayernu, Sidi (17) je u juniorskoj momčadi Schalkea, dok je najstariji Kim (25) okončao karijeru prije tri godine.

Schalke je posljednji u Bundesligi, ali to čak i nije ono najstrašnije za navijače momčadi iz Gelsenkirchena, jedne od najomiljenijih u Njemačkoj. Bez osvojenog su boda nakon tri kola, a gol razlika im je čak minus 14. Uz samo jedan postignuti gol u 270 minuta igre i 15 primljenih.

Ako ćemo kronološki 0:8 potop kod Bayerna, 1:3 kod kuće protiv Werdera koji se prošle sezone od ispadanja spasio tek u doigravanju, pa 0:4 doma sa RB Leipzigom. Čini se kako je Schalke na najboljem putu da se priključi dugoj listi njemačkih velikana koji su zadnjih godina ispadali u niži rang. HSV je ispao 2018., Stuttgart 2019. (vratio se ove sezone), a nakon što su već u ovom stoljeću ispadali i Borussia Mönchengladbach, Eintracht (vratili su se), Köln, Kaiserslautern...

Takav scenarij dao se naslutiti već prošle sezone. Tada je Schalke prvenstvo završio sa za Bundesligu rekordnim nizom od 16 susreta bez pobjede, kojim su se s pete pozicije strmoglavili na dvanaestu. A onda su još dva poraza na startu ovog prvenstva koštala trenera Davida Wagnera posla, pa neka je kum Jürgena Kloppa. Uslijedio je potom i treći.

A povijest bolesti je malo duža. „Rudari” su klub masa, radnički iz industrijskog Ruhra, članski. Schalke je uz Bayern, Nürnberg i Borussiju Dortmund najtrofejniji njemački klub. Ima sedam naslova prvaka, ali nijedan od formiranja Bundeslige 1963. Posljednji datira iz 1958. Većina trofejnih vitrina popunjena je tridesetih i četrdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća. Zlobnici bi rekli u vrijeme kada je (ne samo Njemačkom) drmao njihov navijač Adolf Hitler.

Pamti se trofej Kupa UEFA-e osvojen 1997. Najbliže tituli prvaka bio je 2001. kada je već pripremljeno slavlje prekinuo gol Patrika Anderssona u sudačkoj nadoknadi za Bayern u Hamburgu. Četiri godine kasnije otvorena je impresivna Veltins Arena, ali nikako se nije otvorio šampanjac zbog naslova prvaka. Polufinale LP s Raulom u momčadi igralo se 2011. Ipak, angažman slavnog Španjolca bio je jedan od rijetkih pogodaka klupske struke. Mnogo češći su bili promašaji na tržištu nogu. I općenito lutanja u sportskoj politici. Dovoljno govori što je aktualni Manuel Baum 27. trener Schalkea u ovom stoljeću. Spavaš li mirno Hajduče?

Sve je to imalo i financijske posljedice. A kada se još nadovezala opća kriza zbog koronavirusa ovog ljeta Schalke nije platio odštetu za nijednog igrača, tek dva milijuna eura za posudbu Goncala Paciencije iz Eintrachta. Veteran Vedad Ibišević je došao bez odštete, a plaću donira u dobrotvorne svrhe. Financijsku krizu je produbio odlazak čelnog čovjeka kluba milijardera Clemensa Toenniesa (težak više od dvije milijarde eura) u lipnju. Koronavirus je dodatno pogodio „kralja kobasica”, jer jedna od njegovih tvornica bila je i žarište Covida-19 među radnicima. Navodno je zaraženo više od 1500 potplaćenih mahom istočnoeuropskih radnika koji su bili u neuvjetnim grupnim smještajnim jedinicama. Zbog toga je prosvjedovala njemačka javnost, ali i navijači Schalkea. Tražili su odlazak čovjeka koji je predstavljao radnički klub, a tako se odnosio prema radnicima. Toennies je na koncu otišao.

No, još i prije koronavirusa financijski je sezonu 2018/19 Schalke završio sa čak 200 milijuna eura duga. Kada je nastupila pandemija bilo je jasno da je jedan od najugroženiji njemačkih klubova. Ne samo zbog visine tog duga, nego i velike ovisnosti o prihodima od navijača, članstva, sponzora koji su se smanjivali. To je uskoro bilo evidentno. Jedino Schalke nije ponudio kupcima sezonskih ulaznica povrat novca zbog toga što zbog covida-19 nisu mogli na utakmice. A otkaze su dobili tek 450 eura mjesečno plaćeni „part-time” šoferi mladih nogometaša koje roditelji nisu u mogućnosti voziti na treninge. To je izazvalo bijes navijača kluba koji je sa 160 tisuća članova drugi po članstvu u državi.

- Ovo je moralni bankrot. Svi koji ne mare za Schalkeove vrijednosti moraju otići – poručili su navijači iz „Ultras Gelsenkirchena”, jedne od najpoznatijih navijačkih grupa u Njemačkoj.

- Moramo napraviti korak unatrag, ne možemo više živjeti u snovima – rekao je pred početak sezone sportski direktor Jochen Schneider. Spominjalo se tada u medijima da će klub uvesti i limit od 2,5 milijuna eura na godišnje plaće, kao i to da će od pokrajine Sjeverne Rajne-Vestfalije navodno tražiti jamstvo za kredit od 40 milijuna eura. A prije samo tri sezone, kada je član kluba na posudbi iz Juventusa bio i naš Marko Pjaca, Schalke je Bundesligu završio na drugom mjestu.

Hrvatski pečat

Od bivših igrača Hajduka u Schalkeu su bili Brane Oblak, Vilson Džoni, Mario Boljat, Dragan Holcer. Tu su igrali i Ivan Rakitić, Marko Pjaca, Filip Tapalović.

- Kad san iša u Schalke, pita san se di san to uopće otiša, a onda san vidija da je to klub koji je u Njemačkoj ka Hajduk, po navijačima, tradiciji... - priča nam Džoni koji je dvije sezone nosio dres Schalkea, od 1979. do 1981.

- Ža mi je zbog svega šta se tom klubu događa u zadnje vrime.

Schalke je osamdesetih i početkom devedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća proveo pet sezona u drugoj ligi (81/82, 83/84, 88-91). Zbog koronavirusa klub nije više u mogućnosti da se ravnopravno financijski bori s konkurencijom iz Bundeslige, kamoli iz Europe.

- Šteta. Financije su glavni problem, nema para. Schalke nije u mogućnosti kupiti pravog igrača. A imali su braću Sane koji su bili dica kluba – kaže nam Džoni.

Leroy Sane (24) je još 2016. otišao u Manchester City i sad je u Bayernu, Sidi (17) je u juniorskoj momčadi Schalkea, dok je najstariji Kim (25) okončao karijeru prije tri godine.
