Premda je pobijedio s novim svjetskim rekordom u bacanju kugle za sportaše s intelektualnim poteškoćama, malezijski paraolimpijac Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli ostao je bez zlata što je izazvalo "rat" na društveim mrežama.

Naime, Ziyad je pobijedio sa rezultatom 17.94 metara, no njegov rezultat je poništen jer se prije početka natjecanja nije na vrijeme pojavio u "Call Room" zbog čega je suspendiran. Malezijski savez se žalio pa mu je dopušten nastup, ali je nakon natjecanja ipak suspendiran, a njegov rezultat je izbrisan.

Odluka o njegovoj suspenziji izazvala je val negodovanja na društvenim mrežama, a na meti su se našli Međunarodni paraolimpijski odbor (IPS) i ukrajinski atletičar Maksim Koval kojem je naknadno pripalo zlato.

IPC je osudio napade i kritike na društvenim mrežama opisavši ih kao "uvredljive i smiješne".

"Ukradena medalja i svjetski rekord," napisao je između ostalih i malezijski ministar sporta Khairy Jamaluddin na Twitteru.

"Bila je to sramotna odluka koja se kosi s duhom Paraolimpijskih igara", dodao je.

Oglasila se i bivša ministrica mladih i sporta.

"Ziyad, bila je to nepravedna odluka. Najbolji ste na svijetu."

Iz IPC-a su poručili kako žale zbog odluke koju su morali donijeti, no pravila su jasna.

"Pravila su pravila," poručili su iz IPC-a dodavši kako neki od komentara nemaju veze sa sportom.

Osim Ziyada zbog kašnjenja su suspendirani i Ekvadorac Jordi Patricio Congo Villalba i Australac Todd Hodgetts.

Prema pravilima organizacije, sportaši koji nisu prisutni u prostoriji za pozive u "relevantno vrijeme objavljeno u rasporedu sobe za pozive" bit će prikazani u rezultatima kao "nisu počeli".

Svoj trojici je dozvoljeno natjecanje, a nakon što je utvrđeno kako nema "opravdanih razloga" za njihovo kašnjenje suspendirani su, priopćio je IPC.

Premda je pobijedio s novim svjetskim rekordom u bacanju kugle za sportaše s intelektualnim poteškoćama, malezijski paraolimpijac Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli ostao je bez zlata što je izazvalo "rat" na društveim mrežama.

Naime, Ziyad je pobijedio sa rezultatom 17.94 metara, no njegov rezultat je poništen jer se prije početka natjecanja nije na vrijeme pojavio u "Call Room" zbog čega je suspendiran. Malezijski savez se žalio pa mu je dopušten nastup, ali je nakon natjecanja ipak suspendiran, a njegov rezultat je izbrisan.

Odluka o njegovoj suspenziji izazvala je val negodovanja na društvenim mrežama, a na meti su se našli Međunarodni paraolimpijski odbor (IPS) i ukrajinski atletičar Maksim Koval kojem je naknadno pripalo zlato.

IPC je osudio napade i kritike na društvenim mrežama opisavši ih kao "uvredljive i smiješne".

"Ukradena medalja i svjetski rekord," napisao je između ostalih i malezijski ministar sporta Khairy Jamaluddin na Twitteru.

"Bila je to sramotna odluka koja se kosi s duhom Paraolimpijskih igara", dodao je.

Oglasila se i bivša ministrica mladih i sporta.

"Ziyad, bila je to nepravedna odluka. Najbolji ste na svijetu."

Iz IPC-a su poručili kako žale zbog odluke koju su morali donijeti, no pravila su jasna.

"Pravila su pravila," poručili su iz IPC-a dodavši kako neki od komentara nemaju veze sa sportom.

Osim Ziyada zbog kašnjenja su suspendirani i Ekvadorac Jordi Patricio Congo Villalba i Australac Todd Hodgetts.

Prema pravilima organizacije, sportaši koji nisu prisutni u prostoriji za pozive u "relevantno vrijeme objavljeno u rasporedu sobe za pozive" bit će prikazani u rezultatima kao "nisu počeli".

Svoj trojici je dozvoljeno natjecanje, a nakon što je utvrđeno kako nema "opravdanih razloga" za njihovo kašnjenje suspendirani su, priopćio je IPC.

Premda je pobijedio s novim svjetskim rekordom u bacanju kugle za sportaše s intelektualnim poteškoćama, malezijski paraolimpijac Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli ostao je bez zlata što je izazvalo "rat" na društveim mrežama.

Naime, Ziyad je pobijedio sa rezultatom 17.94 metara, no njegov rezultat je poništen jer se prije početka natjecanja nije na vrijeme pojavio u "Call Room" zbog čega je suspendiran. Malezijski savez se žalio pa mu je dopušten nastup, ali je nakon natjecanja ipak suspendiran, a njegov rezultat je izbrisan.

Odluka o njegovoj suspenziji izazvala je val negodovanja na društvenim mrežama, a na meti su se našli Međunarodni paraolimpijski odbor (IPS) i ukrajinski atletičar Maksim Koval kojem je naknadno pripalo zlato.
