Prvi i vjerojatno posljednji put u ovom ranojesenskom terminu, sutra ujutro u 7.30 sati kreće 21. izdanje Splitskog maratona. Na startu na Rivi, gdje je smješten i cilj, naći će se više od 1000 trkača i trkačica u maratonu, polumaratonu i štafetnom maratonu.

U onoj glavnoj utrci, maratonu, prijavljeno je 300 sudionika, što je dvostruko manje nego lani, no to je bilo i očekivano s obzirom na pandemiju koronavirusa. Konkretno, ove godine nažalost nema jakih snaga iz Kenije i Etiopije koji nisu dobili vize zbog Covida, ali zato su tu predstavnici SAD-a, Velike Britanije, Rusije, Francuske, Njemačke, Španjolske, Italije, Skandinavije, s područja bivše države, čak i Južne Koreje... U polumaratonu očekuje se oko 660 trkač(ic)a i još 100 u štafetnom maratonu.

Maratonci će kao lani trčati u staroj jezgri Splita, Vranjicu, vojnoj bazi Lora, stadionu na Poljudu, Marjanu, Zapadnoj obali, pa na pijesku plaže na Bačvicama i onda u posljednjem kilometru oko Dioklecijanove palače. Uistinu jedinstveno iskustvo na, reći će stručnjaci, jednoj od težih staza u kalendaru s elevacijom od čak 267 metara.  

Predsjednik Organizacijskog odbora Kristijan Sindik zamolio je građane za razumijevanje i strpljenje budući da staza prolazi preko nekoliko plaža, a sezona kupanja još je u tijeku i sutra se očekuje vrlo topao, gotovo ljetni dan. Ni traga burovitim danima s početka ovog tjedna.

- Neke plaže poput Žnjana, Kašjuna i Firula bit će zatvorene pa će se do njih moći doći samo pješke ili biciklom. Molim naše sugrađane da nam pruže ruku, izađu i navijaju, sve će to vrlo brzo proći - poručio je Sindik.

Organizatori se kao svake godine trude učiniti doživljaj trčanja po Splitu što ugodnijim pa će tako na različitim punktovima staze trkači imati glazbenu podlogu orkestra Josipa Hatzea, grupe 058, bubnjara Danijela Stojana i zbora Marjanke, a bodrit će ih još plesni klub Noa, Mažoretkinje grada Splita, Splitski skautski zbor te udruga Sindrom Down Split. Uvjereni smo kako će im se pridružiti i ostali sugrađani i sugrađanke kako bi podržali ovu manifestaciju koja je u sportsko-turističkom smislu postala istinski brend Splita. Prvi i vjerojatno posljednji put u ovom ranojesenskom terminu, sutra ujutro u 7.30 sati kreće 21. izdanje Splitskog maratona. Na startu na Rivi, gdje je smješten i cilj, naći će se više od 1000 trkača i trkačica u maratonu, polumaratonu i štafetnom maratonu.

U onoj glavnoj utrci, maratonu, prijavljeno je 300 sudionika, što je dvostruko manje nego lani, no to je bilo i očekivano s obzirom na pandemiju koronavirusa. Konkretno, ove godine nažalost nema jakih snaga iz Kenije i Etiopije koji nisu dobili vize zbog Covida, ali zato su tu predstavnici SAD-a, Velike Britanije, Rusije, Francuske, Njemačke, Španjolske, Italije, Skandinavije, s područja bivše države, čak i Južne Koreje... U polumaratonu očekuje se oko 660 trkač(ic)a i još 100 u štafetnom maratonu.

Maratonci će kao lani trčati u staroj jezgri Splita, Vranjicu, vojnoj bazi Lora, stadionu na Poljudu, Marjanu, Zapadnoj obali, pa na pijesku plaže na Bačvicama i onda u posljednjem kilometru oko Dioklecijanove palače. Uistinu jedinstveno iskustvo na, reći će stručnjaci, jednoj od težih staza u kalendaru s elevacijom od čak 267 metara.  

Predsjednik Organizacijskog odbora Kristijan Sindik zamolio je građane za razumijevanje i strpljenje budući da staza prolazi preko nekoliko plaža, a sezona kupanja još je u tijeku i sutra se očekuje vrlo topao, gotovo ljetni dan. Ni traga burovitim danima s početka ovog tjedna.

- Neke plaže poput Žnjana, Kašjuna i Firula bit će zatvorene pa će se do njih moći doći samo pješke ili biciklom. Molim naše sugrađane da nam pruže ruku, izađu i navijaju, sve će to vrlo brzo proći - poručio je Sindik.

Organizatori se kao svake godine trude učiniti doživljaj trčanja po Splitu što ugodnijim pa će tako na različitim punktovima staze trkači imati glazbenu podlogu orkestra Josipa Hatzea, grupe 058, bubnjara Danijela Stojana i zbora Marjanke, a bodrit će ih još plesni klub Noa, Mažoretkinje grada Splita, Splitski skautski zbor te udruga Sindrom Down Split. Uvjereni smo kako će im se pridružiti i ostali sugrađani i sugrađanke kako bi podržali ovu manifestaciju koja je u sportsko-turističkom smislu postala istinski brend Splita. Na startu na Rivi bit će tisuću trkača: ove godine nažalost nema jakih snaga iz Kenije i Etiopije, ali zato su tu predstavnici SAD-a, Velike Britanije...

Prvi i vjerojatno posljednji put u ovom ranojesenskom terminu, sutra ujutro u 7.30 sati kreće 21. izdanje Splitskog maratona. Na startu na Rivi, gdje je smješten i cilj, naći će se više od 1000 trkača i trkačica u maratonu, polumaratonu i štafetnom maratonu.

U onoj glavnoj utrci, maratonu, prijavljeno je 300 sudionika, što je dvostruko manje nego lani, no to je bilo i očekivano s obzirom na pandemiju koronavirusa. Konkretno, ove godine nažalost nema jakih snaga iz Kenije i Etiopije koji nisu dobili vize zbog Covida, ali zato su tu predstavnici SAD-a, Velike Britanije, Rusije, Francuske, Njemačke, Španjolske, Italije, Skandinavije, s područja bivše države, čak i Južne Koreje... U polumaratonu očekuje se oko 660 trkač(ic)a i još 100 u štafetnom maratonu.
