U Splitu nećemo imati prilike uživati u novim vrhunskim ostvarenjima naših dviju najboljih bacačica, Sandre Perković u disku te Sare Kolak u koplju, ali je tu zato njihov najbolji muški kolega, ASK-ov biser Filip Mihaljević.
Popularni Fićo već je nekoliko godina konstanta hrvatske atletike. Državni je rekorder u bacanju kugle, a ove je godine u ožujku u poljskom Torunu osvojio brončanu medalju na Europskom dvoranskom prvenstvu. Prije njega o je uspio samo Branko Zorko koji je osvojio broncu 1992. i srebro dvije godine kasnije u utrci na 1500 metara.
Nije Mihaljeviću strano bacati u Splitu, u Parku mladeži, ali sada ga čeka nova lokacija, toliko već “opjevani” antički Amfiteatar u Saloni. No, i u Parku mladeži je, kaže Filip, drugačija atmosfera.
- Malo je drugačije nego inače, nego kad bude Zimski bacački kup Hrvatske. Ovo je puno važnije natjecanje, velika je strka na stadionu, a pogotovo će drugačije biti u Saloni. Potrudili su se organizatori da nam ugode, da bude specifično.
Jesi li vidio kako to izgleda u Saloni?
- Nisam još, bio sam dva tjedna na pripremama u Medulinu, stigao sam tek prije dva dana.
Kako je bilo na pripremama?
- Super je u Medulinu, malo smo se išli maknuti odavde. Treninzi su išli po planu, čeka nas duga i ako Bog da uzbudljiva sezona. Tamo smo odradili završne pripreme pred prvi dio sezone.
Tko ste to vi?
- Moj trener Marko Mastelić i ja. I to je to. Sandra (Perković, nap. a.) i Edis (Elkasević, nap. a.) su radili svoje tamo, mi smo bili u svom programu.
Što vam je to tako dobro u Medulinu?
- Medulin je specifičan jer su uvjeti jako dobri, hotel jako kvaliteta. Nema puno dangubljenja ni doticaja s vanjskim svijetom. Kao svojevrsna karantena.
Kakvo natjecanje očekuješ u Splitu?
- Kugla će biti jako zanimljiva i kvalitetna. Nije to sasvim najjači europski sastav, ali bit će vrlo dobro. Očekujem od sebe da bacim preko 21 metar. Spektakl će biti sigurno, pogotovo s obzirom na specifičnost ambijenta.
Tko je u kugli prvi favorit?
- Talijan Leonardo Fabri koji je prošle godine bacao često preko 21, s najboljim hicem od čak 21,99, on je svakako favorit broj jedan.
Na čemu si ti radio u razdoblju nakon osvajanja europske dvoranske bronce?
- Imao sam samo tjedan pauze i odmah sam se vratio na trening. Radio sam dosta snagu, jačanje, specifičnu snagu i posebno na tehnici. Možda je na tehnici bio najveći fokus u zadnjih mjesec dana, na stabilizaciji i izvođenju hica.
Neće biti publike, to je baš šteta.
- Bit će tu ipak nekoga, nešto volontera, neki predstavnici drugih saveza, ali i dosta bacača. Stvorit će se fina atmosfera. Šteta što nema tribina, ali neka ovo postane tradicija pa da se ostvari kroz miting ili nekakav novi bacački kup.
Misliš da bacanje kugle u Saloni postane zasebni miting?
- Može se to, kao što je Blanka skakala na Rivi i u Spaladium areni, ovo je dobra prilika da se bacanje kugle ubaci u tradiciju. Možda za Svetog Duju, ili Dan grada Solina, o tom potom.
Što tebe čeka nakon Salone?
- Fokus su Olimpijske igre. Kratkoročno, već za tjedan dana me očekuje miting u Ostravi, onda Dijamantna liga u Doha i Rimu.
Kugla je sve jača na globalnoj razini?
- Mislim da se dogodio eksponencijalni porast u kugli baš radi konkurencije, više 20,50 metara nije ništa niti možeš išta s tim ostvariti. Moraš stalno napredovati da bi ostao u igri.

U Splitu nećemo imati prilike uživati u novim vrhunskim ostvarenjima naših dviju najboljih bacačica, Sandre Perković u disku te Sare Kolak u koplju, ali je tu zato njihov najbolji muški kolega, ASK-ov biser Filip Mihaljević.
Popularni Fićo već je nekoliko godina konstanta hrvatske atletike. Državni je rekorder u bacanju kugle, a ove je godine u ožujku u poljskom Torunu osvojio brončanu medalju na Europskom dvoranskom prvenstvu. Prije njega o je uspio samo Branko Zorko koji je osvojio broncu 1992. i srebro dvije godine kasnije u utrci na 1500 metara.
Nije Mihaljeviću strano bacati u Splitu, u Parku mladeži, ali sada ga čeka nova lokacija, toliko već “opjevani” antički Amfiteatar u Saloni. No, i u Parku mladeži je, kaže Filip, drugačija atmosfera.
- Malo je drugačije nego inače, nego kad bude Zimski bacački kup Hrvatske. Ovo je puno važnije natjecanje, velika je strka na stadionu, a pogotovo će drugačije biti u Saloni. Potrudili su se organizatori da nam ugode, da bude specifično.
Jesi li vidio kako to izgleda u Saloni?
- Nisam još, bio sam dva tjedna na pripremama u Medulinu, stigao sam tek prije dva dana.
Kako je bilo na pripremama?
- Super je u Medulinu, malo smo se išli maknuti odavde. Treninzi su išli po planu, čeka nas duga i ako Bog da uzbudljiva sezona. Tamo smo odradili završne pripreme pred prvi dio sezone.
Tko ste to vi?
- Moj trener Marko Mastelić i ja. I to je to. Sandra (Perković, nap. a.) i Edis (Elkasević, nap. a.) su radili svoje tamo, mi smo bili u svom programu.
Što vam je to tako dobro u Medulinu?
- Medulin je specifičan jer su uvjeti jako dobri, hotel jako kvaliteta. Nema puno dangubljenja ni doticaja s vanjskim svijetom. Kao svojevrsna karantena.
Kakvo natjecanje očekuješ u Splitu?
- Kugla će biti jako zanimljiva i kvalitetna. Nije to sasvim najjači europski sastav, ali bit će vrlo dobro. Očekujem od sebe da bacim preko 21 metar. Spektakl će biti sigurno, pogotovo s obzirom na specifičnost ambijenta.
Tko je u kugli prvi favorit?
- Talijan Leonardo Fabri koji je prošle godine bacao često preko 21, s najboljim hicem od čak 21,99, on je svakako favorit broj jedan.
Na čemu si ti radio u razdoblju nakon osvajanja europske dvoranske bronce?
- Imao sam samo tjedan pauze i odmah sam se vratio na trening. Radio sam dosta snagu, jačanje, specifičnu snagu i posebno na tehnici. Možda je na tehnici bio najveći fokus u zadnjih mjesec dana, na stabilizaciji i izvođenju hica.
Neće biti publike, to je baš šteta.
- Bit će tu ipak nekoga, nešto volontera, neki predstavnici drugih saveza, ali i dosta bacača. Stvorit će se fina atmosfera. Šteta što nema tribina, ali neka ovo postane tradicija pa da se ostvari kroz miting ili nekakav novi bacački kup.
Misliš da bacanje kugle u Saloni postane zasebni miting?
- Može se to, kao što je Blanka skakala na Rivi i u Spaladium areni, ovo je dobra prilika da se bacanje kugle ubaci u tradiciju. Možda za Svetog Duju, ili Dan grada Solina, o tom potom.
Što tebe čeka nakon Salone?
- Fokus su Olimpijske igre. Kratkoročno, već za tjedan dana me očekuje miting u Ostravi, onda Dijamantna liga u Doha i Rimu.
Kugla je sve jača na globalnoj razini?
- Mislim da se dogodio eksponencijalni porast u kugli baš radi konkurencije, više 20,50 metara nije ništa niti možeš išta s tim ostvariti. Moraš stalno napredovati da bi ostao u igri.
