Australska daljinska plivačica Chloe McCardel (35) najavljuje novi rekord La Manchea, jer planira kanal između Francuske i Engleske preplivati čak 35 puta. Do sada joj je to uspjelo 31 put.

- Zahvalna sam i sretna što mogu putovati i slijediti svoje snove, posebno u ovim vremenima kada se mnogi ljudi teško snalaze - kazala je 35-godišnja Australka.

Engleski kanal ili La Manche je morski prolaz između južne Engleske i sjeverne Francuske koji spaja Sjeverno more s Atlantskim oceanom. Njegova najveća širina je oko 278 km, a najmanja oko 31 km. Australka će plivati 34 km.

Hladno more, snažne struje, vjetar i magla, more puno meduza i nerijetko posjećeno morskim psima, otežavaju posao plivačim. Osim toga, kanal je izuzetno prometan.

- Voljela bih da je Engleski kanal u Australiji - rekla je.

- Posljednjih 11 godina u mom životu bilo bi zaista puno lakše - dodala je sa smiješkom.

Ukoliko uspije još četiri puta preplivati kanal, postat će tek druga žena kojoj je to uspjelo najmanje 35 puta. Rekorderka je Britanka Alison Streeter sa 43 preplivavanja. Kod muškaraca rekord drži Britanac Kevin Murphy koji je kanal preplivao 34 puta.

Prva žena koja je preplivala La Manche je Amerikanka Gertrude Ederle kojoj je to uspjelo 1926. godine.

Hrvatska plivačica je tek druga žena u povijesti daljinskog plivanja koja je za 90 dana isplivala trostruku krunu daljinskog plivanja - mostove Manhattana u New Yorku, kalifornijski zaljev od otoka Cataline do San Pedra, te La Manche.

Australska daljinska plivačica Chloe McCardel (35) najavljuje novi rekord La Manchea, jer planira kanal između Francuske i Engleske preplivati čak 35 puta. Do sada joj je to uspjelo 31 put.

- Zahvalna sam i sretna što mogu putovati i slijediti svoje snove, posebno u ovim vremenima kada se mnogi ljudi teško snalaze - kazala je 35-godišnja Australka.

Engleski kanal ili La Manche je morski prolaz između južne Engleske i sjeverne Francuske koji spaja Sjeverno more s Atlantskim oceanom. Njegova najveća širina je oko 278 km, a najmanja oko 31 km. Australka će plivati 34 km.

Hladno more, snažne struje, vjetar i magla, more puno meduza i nerijetko posjećeno morskim psima, otežavaju posao plivačim. Osim toga, kanal je izuzetno prometan.

- Voljela bih da je Engleski kanal u Australiji - rekla je.

- Posljednjih 11 godina u mom životu bilo bi zaista puno lakše - dodala je sa smiješkom.

Ukoliko uspije još četiri puta preplivati kanal, postat će tek druga žena kojoj je to uspjelo najmanje 35 puta. Rekorderka je Britanka Alison Streeter sa 43 preplivavanja. Kod muškaraca rekord drži Britanac Kevin Murphy koji je kanal preplivao 34 puta.

Prva žena koja je preplivala La Manche je Amerikanka Gertrude Ederle kojoj je to uspjelo 1926. godine. 

Na popisu plivačica koje su preplivale kanal je i naša Dina Levačić.

Hrvatska plivačica je tek druga žena u povijesti daljinskog plivanja koja je za 90 dana isplivala trostruku krunu daljinskog plivanja - mostove Manhattana u New Yorku, kalifornijski zaljev od otoka Cataline do San Pedra, te La Manche.

Australska daljinska plivačica Chloe McCardel (35) najavljuje novi rekord La Manchea, jer planira kanal između Francuske i Engleske preplivati čak 35 puta. Do sada joj je to uspjelo 31 put.

- Zahvalna sam i sretna što mogu putovati i slijediti svoje snove, posebno u ovim vremenima kada se mnogi ljudi teško snalaze - kazala je 35-godišnja Australka.

Engleski kanal ili La Manche je morski prolaz između južne Engleske i sjeverne Francuske koji spaja Sjeverno more s Atlantskim oceanom. Njegova najveća širina je oko 278 km, a najmanja oko 31 km. Australka će plivati 34 km.

Hladno more, snažne struje, vjetar i magla, more puno meduza i nerijetko posjećeno morskim psima, otežavaju posao plivačim. Osim toga, kanal je izuzetno prometan.
