Košarkaši Milwaukee Bucksa, aktualni NBA prvaci, posjetili su Bijelu kuću gdje ih je primio aktualni američki predsjednik Joe Biden.

Tradicija se time nastavila nakon pet godina i Bucksi su postali prvi nakon igrača Clevelanda 2016. godine koje je tada, u Bijeloj kući, primio Barack Obama.

Naime, u vrijeme dok je tamo stolovao Donald Trump prekinuta je ta tradicija zbog neslaganja s tadašnjom predsjedničkom politikom pa tako na proslavu nisu dolazili Golden State Warriors, prvaci iz 2017. i 2018. te Toronto Raptors, prvaci iz 2019., dok prvaci iz 2020. Los Angeles Lakers nisu ni mogli doći zbog tadašnjih restrikcija uzrokovanih pandemijom koronavirusa.

Košarkaši Milwaukeeja su prošle sezone osvojili svoj drugi naslov u povijesti, točno pedeset godina nakon premijernog, a ovom su prilikom predsjedniku Bidenu, 46. po redu u američkoj povijesti, poklonili dres Bucksa s brojem 46.

Predsjednik Biden je, pak, naglasio kako su se, osim na sportskom polju, aktualni NBA prvaci istaknuli svojim društvenim djelovanjem i zalaganjem za ravnopravnost  te poticali američke građane na potrebu cijepljenja u aktualnim vremenima.

Najbolji igrač Milwaukeeja Giannis Antetokounmpo je, pak, u Bijeloj kući izjavio:

- Naša je momčad pravi primjer vrijednog rada i odricanja. Ako imate cilj probudite se svaki dan sa željom da postanete još bolji u tome što radite i volite te se usudite sanjati. Košarkaši Milwaukee Bucksa, aktualni NBA prvaci, posjetili su Bijelu kuću gdje ih je primio aktualni američki predsjednik Joe Biden.

Tradicija se time nastavila nakon pet godina i Bucksi su postali prvi nakon igrača Clevelanda 2016. godine koje je tada, u Bijeloj kući, primio Barack Obama.

Naime, u vrijeme dok je tamo stolovao Donald Trump prekinuta je ta tradicija zbog neslaganja s tadašnjom predsjedničkom politikom pa tako na proslavu nisu dolazili Golden State Warriors, prvaci iz 2017. i 2018. te Toronto Raptors, prvaci iz 2019., dok prvaci iz 2020. Los Angeles Lakers nisu ni mogli doći zbog tadašnjih restrikcija uzrokovanih pandemijom koronavirusa.

Košarkaši Milwaukeeja su prošle sezone osvojili svoj drugi naslov u povijesti, točno pedeset godina nakon premijernog, a ovom su prilikom predsjedniku Bidenu, 46. po redu u američkoj povijesti, poklonili dres Bucksa s brojem 46.

Predsjednik Biden je, pak, naglasio kako su se, osim na sportskom polju, aktualni NBA prvaci istaknuli svojim društvenim djelovanjem i zalaganjem za ravnopravnost  te poticali američke građane na potrebu cijepljenja u aktualnim vremenima.

Najbolji igrač Milwaukeeja Giannis Antetokounmpo je, pak, u Bijeloj kući izjavio:

- Naša je momčad pravi primjer vrijednog rada i odricanja. Ako imate cilj probudite se svaki dan sa željom da postanete još bolji u tome što radite i volite te se usudite sanjati. To je ono što mi radimo cijeli život. S napornim radom sve je moguće, rekao je najkorisniji igrač prošlosezonskog finala.

Košarkaši Milwaukee Bucksa, aktualni NBA prvaci, posjetili su Bijelu kuću gdje ih je primio aktualni američki predsjednik Joe Biden.

Tradicija se time nastavila nakon pet godina i Bucksi su postali prvi nakon igrača Clevelanda 2016. godine koje je tada, u Bijeloj kući, primio Barack Obama.

Naime, u vrijeme dok je tamo stolovao Donald Trump prekinuta je ta tradicija zbog neslaganja s tadašnjom predsjedničkom politikom pa tako na proslavu nisu dolazili Golden State Warriors, prvaci iz 2017. i 2018. te Toronto Raptors, prvaci iz 2019., dok prvaci iz 2020. Los Angeles Lakers nisu ni mogli doći zbog tadašnjih restrikcija uzrokovanih pandemijom koronavirusa.
